Going into this surgery I was so nervous. I did alot of reading and research and still was uncertain. As soon as I talked to Dr Jallo & his staff they answered all my questions clearly & eased my anxiety. I instantly felt comfortable with Dr. Jallo & his Staff. Dr Jallo & his entire staff at Jefferson they where incredible from day one. I am so happy I chose Dr. Jallo & most importantly I am 6wks post op from ACDF Surgery and could not me any happier with the results. Thank you!

Excellent Bedside manners, the APN in the office as well who consults to him. Very thorough provider went over MRI, took his time to discuss treatment plan. He is definitely a provider that Talks the talk and walks the walk. Very satisfied and pleased to be under his care. Front and Back-office staff very professional and caring.

I had 2 bulging discs that were almost paralyzing me. Dr Jallo's team explained to me everything what needed to happen. I had my surgery two weeks later and when I woke up I felt like a new person. I was never surprised by anything that was taking place from pre op through being discharged. It has been almost three months to the day that I walked into Dr Jallo's office. I have never looked back and everyday I feel better then I ever did.

Dr Jallo and team made a very worrisome experience much better than expected. Their overall care and professionalism made me feel comfortable that this very important procedure was being handled by the right team. Each stage of the process went very smoothly and I felt quite secure in my choice of provider and in the quality of care. I was terrified to have this surgery and Dr. Jallo, his office colleagues and the staff at JHN helped me get through this surgery. I had a bi level ACDF 7 weeks ago and am ready to go back to work with no restrictions. I currently have no pain at all. I wish I had expected the level of discomfort that I had. The worst part of recovery was worrying that something was wrong. Once my x-rays confirmed the surgery was a success and I started therapy I started feeling like myself again. I cannot think of one thing that could have been done better from Dr. Jallo and his team.

I needed revision surgery for a failed 2-level ACDF. I went to 3 top Philly hospitals for opinions (aside from my original surgeon.) The reason I chose Dr. Jallo and why I am glad I did: - He did a full workup of tests to make sure any possible complication or contributing factor to my pain could be addressed. - I could tell from our conversations that he did not go by his opinion alone, and that he conferred with other surgeons in his practice regarding the best path of my specific treatment. - He considered ALL possible options for the best outcome of my particular case. The other surgeons I saw stated that they only consider certain approaches for revisions. We went with the option the others would not consider for me. - He didn't make any promises he couldn't keep, and was very up front about what he couldn't promise. Nothing was sugar-coated so I knew what he was telling me was the truth. I am doing very well now and I know I made the best choice for myself in choosing him.

Both Dr Jallo and his staff took as much time to discuss my condition and the surgical options with me as I wanted. His approach was very reassuring and made me certain I was pursuing the best option available to me. My result was absolutely wonderful. For two months preop I needed to sit in the shower due to back and radiating leg pain. The morning after my surgery I was able to stand to brush my teeth, shave and shower all without taking a break to sit!

Dr Jallo is competent, thorough and does not make the patient feel like they are being rushed through.

Horrible, will never recommend

I do not recommend him. He refused to see me when my head blew up like a balloon and had a temperature of 103.2. This happened 3 days after I left the hospital and he told me to go to the ER at TJH. I sat in the waiting room for 9 hours before someone saw me. I had an open wound on my skull. When I went home 5 days later and It happened again I called him again he told me to go to my local hospital to get care instead of coming back to Philly. He never called me to see if I was ok.

Dr Andrews is the best. I now see Lauren np and she is excellent. Very happy with superior care.

After being diagnosed with scoliosis at age 14, I had surgery at a rural hospital in NJ. My spine was fused and I was placed in a body cast for 9 months. The surgery was not successful. Ten years later I had it redone at Jefferson by Dr. John Fenlin. This time my own bone was used and I was in a body cast for 6 months. The surgery was very successful. 11 years ago my fusion fractured at L1 because I was asking my back to do too much. I was referred to Dr. James Harrop, Neurosurgeon at Jefferson. In March 2010 Dr. Harrop operated on me and repaired the fracture using my own bone and titanium rods and screws. The surgery was a total success. Not only is Dr. Harrop an amazingly talented surgeon, he truly cares about each of his patients, treating each one with dignity; he takes the time to explain and to answer questions. I have seen Dr. Harrop over the years for a variety of reasons. He is the same caring doctor he always was. I cannot thank Dr. Harrop enough for giving me my life back!

On 6/13/21 I had a rather serious biking accident and was taken to a local ER in Lancaster, PA. The accident broke apart my previous fusion at T7/T8; I also had two broken ribs and a partially collapsed lung. When the extent of my injuries became apparent I asked to be transferred to Jefferson where I had had two previous spine surgeries. Dr. Heller performed a lengthy surgery on me on June 15th where he inserted many rods and screws to hold my back together. I cannot praise Dr. Heller enough. He is an excellent surgeon but even more than that he cares so much about each of his patients. He treats each patient with dignity, takes the time to explain, he listens and answers questions. Tomorrow it will be three months since I had the accident. I am getting used to my "new" back. I am making steady progress and am nearly back to my pre-accident self. With the seriousness of my injuries I never thought I would recover this well. Thank you, Dr. Heller for giving me my life back!

Dr. Sharan is compassionate, kind and caring. Last time i was in for a neuropsurgery being done by hos colleague he came by to say Hello. That in itself was a surprise. It is rare for a doc to take the time to do such a kind thing. But on top of that he related a stopry to the resident with him about something i had told him at least 2 yrs before, an anecdote I hadnt even remembered telling him. Dr Sharan defies all the stereotypes of the uncaring neurosurgeon

I have Parkinson’s disease and was having serious issues with dyskinesia and tremors. I was given Dr. Wu’s name to see if I qualified for a DBS (deep brain stimulator) I did and the surgery was May 7th at Jefferson Neuroscience Hospital. I have had 3 in person visits with Dr Wu and his Surgical nurse, Casey Rosenthal and they both were amazing. Having the DBS implanted is just the beginning - the settings have to be tweaked and this takes time. Dr. Wu gave me his email and told me to contact him if I ever had a problem or questions. I did contact him numerous times and he got back to me the same day!! Casey Rosenthal RN also gave me her contact info and I did have to contact her and she also got back to me the same day. Casey made me feel at ease when the procedure was explained to me. Dr. Wu and Casey make a great team and I would highly recommend Dr. Wu for any Neurosurgery he is very knowledgeable and talks to you not down to you and either does Casey made me so comfortable.
