Review of Dr. Cristancho

-Philadelphia |

Never seen a doctor like this. Doesn't use my Penn Medicine to Communicate, or email, just phone. Takes days to get back to you and then you can't understand him on the phone because of his thick accent. Try to get an appointment to communicate with him in person and he won't get back to you. He has only one idea on medicine and that is it. I tried to get out of his practice and be referred to another doctor at Penn and he said there weren't any other doctors. It was him or a resident. I don't believe that is true so I will have to leave Penn after going to another doctor here for over 8 years but these last three years with Dr. Cristancho have been horrible. Leaving for a private practice. Wish I could stay at Penn but he won't refer me for another doctor and that is the only way I am aloud to move to another Doctor at Penn. Has me trapped in his practice. UnProfessional.

Review of Dr. Baldassano

-

The best psychiatrist I’ve ever had. I would say her only downside is she runs late. But the wait is always worth it!! The reason she runs late is because she never thinks twice about spending extra time w patients who need it. She a very talented and extremely personable doctor. I’ve been seeing her for over ten years. She’s also very good at listening to her patients. She offers an extra Personal Touch to appointments and really cares how her patients are doing.

Awful Doctor. Unresponsive over phone. Would not call in my prescriptions after my appointment. I’m filing a complaint with the medical board. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Review of Dr. Baldassano

-Phila |

Dr Baldassano has cared for my mother for years. She is both incredibly caring and present during office visits, and up on the latest and greatest new psychiatric treatments. It is a blessing to find someone so committed to patient care in the academic setting. My mother adores her.

Review of Dr. Riva

- in PA |

After struggling with anxiety and depression for years and working with other doctors and therapist, I was becoming more discouraged. She is the best psychiatrist I have even seen. Very resourceful, intelligent and empathetic. She helped get me through a brutal pregnancy and some post partum issues- I’d recommend her anyone.

Review of Dr. Somberg

-Philadelphia |

Dr. Somberg is an intuitive and genuine doctor who values her patients' care. I was really impressed by the level of precision and depth displayed by her psychiatric questioning, and left the office with new direction and feeling empowered to get well. Not to mention she even came out to greet me 10 minutes before my appointment, seeing I'd already checked in.

Doesn’t listen to patients, resistant to facts, argumentative, lacks bedside manner, seems quite aloof ...

Review of Dr. Somberg

I have only been in to see her once but I have already made my follow up appointment to see her again. I found her to be very knowledgeable and she had great bedside manner. She was able to ask hard questions that may hurt some people's feelings in a way that made it clear she was not there to pass judgement on me or my situation but was just trying to retrieve information so she can do her job properly. In the end she diagnosed me, placed me on medication, and weekly therapy. Fingers crossed!
