Review of Dr. Ahmed

- in Philadelphia, PA |

Dr. Ahmed saw me through diagnosis and treatment for thyroid cancer. I am so happy that my primary referred me to him. He is extremely knowledgeable and answered my many questions thoroughly and without patronizing. My messages to him (via the online MyChart) were answered promptly. His manner is reassuring, softspoken and very kind. What more could anyone want in a physician?

I saw Dr. Ahmed for thyroid management. He had a medical student or resident see me before he came into the room and then barely talked to me.

Just a waste of time. Worst doctor I came across. I took my wife to him because she had some thyroid problem. He is not interested to listen the patients problems. The worst thing he did was to give a dose of medicines and he is still sending the refills to my pharmacy. My wife had a test recently and she came to know that her low thyroid had gone beyond the normal level but the doctor never followed up. Just automatically sends the refills not even knowing the condition of the patient.

What a waste of my time! He does not believe in listening to his patients nor does he believe in the possibility that TSH is not the gospel when it comes dealing with hypothyroidism. He asked me what was wrong with it because it wasn't my thyroid, but offered no help nor tests to figure out what is wrong with me. Just dismissed me as a menopausal woman and told me my weight gain was not a concern.

Review of Dr. Furlong

I love Dr. Furlong. His easy manner makes you feel comfortable from the moment he sets foot in the room. Is very accommodating and non-judgemental. When I was out of work he gave me all the diabetic supplies I needed including insulin. He is always willing to listen to whatever issues you have and willing to try other medications if you feel what your using is not helping you. I would recommend him to everyone

Dr. Shirodkar is the best! She truly cares about you as a human being! She makes time to listen and do a physical. She has helped me immensely with my diabetes. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs help in controlling their diabetes.
