Critical Care Medicine
Dr. Jesse Raiten is trained in ICU and critical care and has 10+ years experience. Knowing this I was surprised by his behavior when he took care of my father. Whenever my family and I asked about any of the treatment being administered to my father, he resented the questions and actually became belligerent and evasive towards us. I always have seen doctors very open to questions, suggestions and talking thoroughly with such extensive care of critical patients. Most of the other doctors on the floor were very forthcoming and kind. He was polite and professional in the beginning but towards the end of treatment he was harsh with his words and unprofessional in his behavior and attitude, often getting defensive. He needs training on bedside manner and patient right of autonomy.
