Gettysburg Cancer Center

This Facility is now under another name. They are not Oncology Certified or Accredited and their Infusion nurses are not Oncology Certified or trained. They all appear to be lost and uncomfortable. I only had a physical exam at consult then not again until 8 weeks later after I asked about it, even though I saw my Dr weekly. Infusion nurses do not maintain a sterile field when accessing ports nor do they use a sterile kit. My port site was contaminated more than once. I was not asked to sign a consent for treatment until well after 1 month of chemo. Routine weekly labs were not ordered or missed twice, so I had to go back out the next day. The treatment rooms were set up with geri-chairs side by side by side, minimal spacing and no dividers in between. I was told all chemo rooms are like that. No separation for an immuno-compromised patient. Chemo meds were not double/triple checked by 2 staff and no gown and gloves were donned when meds were hung and removed.
