Exceptionally good doctor who fight bureaucracy for his patient. Thank you for caring your patient.
Dr. Albert is an amazing doctor & surgeon, he is the absolute best!! My situation & case is very complicated due to a car accident & proplast teflon implants. I was without care for a few years & then was referred to Dr. Albert. I knew right away that Dr. Albert & his staff would be understanding, amazing & supportive. They have seen me through a number of reconstructive surgeries, therapy & have always been encouraging, helpful & have seen me through some pretty rough times.
Cody Evans is very professional, compassionate and honest psychiatrist.
She really listens too you and gives great advise and or treatment.
She prescribed the best medicines for YOU and also worked within your insurance plans.
She and her team saved my life. I thank GOD for her and her team.
doctor ham saves my life on 5/24/17 2am
he is caring and professional and checked up on me every single day I was at the hospital
This person is totally incompetent. I have a mesh and it ripped loose last year. I was in terrible, terrible pain, and I went to the emergency room at OHSU. They told me to wear a girdle, and they wrote me a referral for EMERGENCY GENERAL SURGERY! They told me they would discuss a mesh revision surgery / neuroectomy, (to remove a mass of scar tissue caused from the mesh) with me. When I saw this Dr. Gilbert, she told me my bowels were normal! When I told her I was in their ER she said, HU?
Always a pleasure. She is very passionate about her pateints. Everytime she has seen me, she has been wonderful in her diagnosis on my condition.
Dr. Hayes-Lattin at first was amazing and helpful he answered all questions. As the weeks went on we still felt very supported but this seemed to be because of his ASSISTANT and all her hard work, After his assistant left OHSU it became very apparent that he had been verbally abusing his staff members and that he only cared about our treatment while in the first stages. Once you hit "maintenance chemo" and are having issues he will brush them off and not remember anything about your care.
Length of appointments and communication
Did not communicate expectations well, or seem to listen to others. Appeared rather inflexible to having things not done her way.
I accompanied a family member when he had his first appointment with Dr Coleman recently. This family member has a complicated health history and is suffering greatly. Dr Coleman showed great interest and compassion, and we came away from that appointment knowing we'd found a doctor who will not dismiss the challenge to work out the details and find solutions to improve the quality of his life. Thank you, Dr Coleman, for the hope you've given us.
Dr. Chadderdon is incredibly professional and friendly. His patient manner is excellent and left us with a sincere confidence in him. OHSU is very fortunate to have this excellent young physician on staff. I would recommend him to anyone!
superb analysis strong on rehabilitation very personable whats not to like ?
Dr. Cetas knows his stuff and is a well experienced brain surgeon who fixed my tumor. He is a no-nosense straight to the point speaker and doesn't fall around with idle chit chat.
Dr. Grace Chen is an evil witch. She surgically installed an intrathecal pain pump into my 33 year old son who was dying from stage 4 cancer. The pump was supposed to help relieve his pain, but because she installed it wrong, it only caused my son more pain. The last 3 months of his life were a worse nightmare because of this witch. Everyone can make mistakes, including doctors, but this so-called doctor refused to see my son 2 weeks after surgery, and 3 months later admitted her mistake.
She was totally professional and straight forward when dealing with pain issues.
I was initially a patient of Dr. Cetas in late 2014 after suffering a Subarachnoid Hemorrhage at my home. Because of the excellent care of Dr. Cetas, his associates, and the nurses in the OHSU neuro ICU unit I am alive to provide this review. Dr. Cetas was attentive to my needs and communicated the facts about my health crisis in terms I could understand. My two additional follow up visits were with Dr. Cetas also, and I felt very well taken care of. I can easily recommend him to any patient.
A very compassionate, intelligent and thorough doctor. She treats the patient as a whole and listens to all of your concerns with ideas of how to address them. Unlike many doctors she cares about the physical and emotional side effects of chemotherapy. She is willing to discuss them and address them.
I have had many doctors at Oregon Health Science University and I will say that Dr. Naugler was the most personable, kind and compassionate doctor I have come across in many years. He is a doctor of gastroenterology (in this case my liver and having Hep C for quite some time). He made sure I was checked every year close to my home, and always phoned me if I had any questions about procedures. Dr. Naugler made me feel as if he really cared! I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
Brilliant, compassionate, on top of the latest and highest quality research. She worked miracles for my sister, who had a 27 month remission from ovarian cancer despite being diagnosed at stage IV, with spread to the lungs. My sister is still doing well at 5 years. Dr. Munro moved her practice to Boston. No one else has come close to her level of practice, expertise, diligence and compassion for her patients.
He reviewed my bone density tests. I have been on prednisone for 16+ yrs. This usually causes osteoporosis. My bone density increased. It is better than younger women. Dr. Klein researched and found a paper written in 1973 that matches. Dr. Klein's care kept me stable and in good health for several year. I was forced to see other dr and followed their rec. 2 mo. Prednisone was dec. too fast. My health went down 50%- I will never recover. I wish I kept with Dr. Klein rec - I would be MUCH better.
Unfortunately, I found out during a recent ER visit that I would need to have a hernia repair. Was referred to Dr. Kunio by the ER staff and couldn't be happier with their recommendation. Dr. was very knowledgable about the robotic surgery he planned for me and the outcome was exactly as he described it would be. The recover was a little rough, but that is mostly because of the kind of work that I do and the fact that I didn't take it easy as I should. Overall, great experience.
Dr. Kunio almost killed my friend and was going to send her home with a ruptured appendix.
Dr. Klein seemed a little frazzled, a little confused, and a bit forgetful. She seemed genuinely interested and concerned, but when it became obvious that she was running through her exam checklist aloud, and expressed her confusion about which side of my body we had just been discussing, I lost confidence in her ability to adequately treat my admittedly complicated conditions.
Does not listen. Uncompassionate. Assuming. Would not recommend.
Dr. Kuang has treated both of our cleft kiddos. She is amazing. She will answer questions and spend time to explain. Her staff is courteous. She may run late because of the amount of time spent with patients. My daughter dressed up as her for Halloween.
Very happy with my experience with Dr. Kunio. Had my gallbladder removed laparoscopically. He was very professional and kind.
Does not return phone calls or emails. Three months for the initial appointment.
I received excellent care and compassion from Dr. Raslan. I highly recommend him.
I had the first step of my spinal stimulator last Friday and I am extremely happy with the results so far! Anxiously awaiting the permanent install of my stimulator this coming Friday. Dr. Raslan is a highly qualified and highly knowledgeable neurosurgeon that I would recommend to anyone wanting this procedure done! For me it seems to be working and I am extremely happy about being out of constant lower spinal pain. Dr. Raslan is a miracle worker in my mind! Thank you Dr. Raslan!
An excellent doctor in every sense of the world. Intelligent, compassionate, diligent and warm. Top notch care.
Worst experience I have ever had at OHSU. I have gone through two surgeries, both were not done correctly. I was misled could be considered lied to. He had a resident perform most of the second surgery without letting me know. Then tried to justify, and cover this up. Now because of improper procedure a third surgery is required. Don't waste your time with the OHSU customer concern or the risk management department. They are only concerned about covering their hospital & doctors!
Dr. Raslan is extremely rude. I will never see this man again. At first he was great but then he completed a surgery on my lower spine and there were issues with the surgery from day one.
First off the surgery that was supposed to take five hours to complete took 13 hours and no one bothered to do little things like apprise my husband of anything that was going on. I had major blood loss and only found out the next day when I had to receive blood
His personalized attention and care saved my husband's life.
Dr. Purnell really knows his stuff. He is so incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate! He tested me for things other doctors never thought of, he's thorough, and respectful. I would highly recommend him to anyone - one of the best doctors I've ever seen.
My father and grandfather both had prostate cancer and I told Dr. Sean Robinson wanted one last PSA test as part of my physical while I still have coverage for it, since I was losing my healthplan at the end of the year and I am now in my 50's. However, Dr. Robinson said any physician who orders a PSA test is committing malpractice and he would not order one for me no matter what. I will not ever go back to Gabriel Park Clinic.
Dr. Robinson is a family doctor to my husband and to me. He has dealt with our issues of aging (we are 73 and 77 respectively). He has seen us whenever deemed necessary. He is knowledgeable, attentive, and respectful.
Dr. Solomon is an amazing surgeon with fabulous bedside manner. He has done three surgeries on me with complete success and the results surpassed my expectations.
Flighty. Sleep with her patients. Especially females.
Dr. Maziarz is amazing. A doctor with compassion and stellar knowledge! He explains his treatment plan and always listens to patient questions and concerns. He is an expert in stem cell transplants. I could not have made the journey without him and his FNP, Susan Slater. I recommend this team!
My daughter saw Dr Kit Lim for migraines. She did not display compassion for the pain my daughter was feeling. She is mostly about prescribing medication then moving on to another patient. My daughter did not get relief from the prescription and dose Dr Lim prescribed and Dr Lim was not available to discuss what to do next. She did not give us a migraine plan to follow then was very condescending when we tried additional therapies. Providence won't let us change doctors. Now going to OHSU.
Dr. Mauer has always been so kind to me. She takes the time to answer my questions and she is extremely knowledgeable. She really takes the time to tend to your needs and concerns. She is never condescending or rude. Compassionate and well educated, I'm so happy to have her treating.
My child sees Dr. Madison for diabetes, and also has a thought/mood disorder.
My child stated once that he is "transgender" and without exploring this further, without hesitation, without making a referral to psychologist or gender therapist... Dr. offered hormone therapy DIRECTLY TO MY CHILD.
She has done this at every appointment since, offering hormones without an mental health input when it's apparent that my child is part of a social media scene where being transgender is trendy.
Very nice and seems caring, but ditsy and forgetful. Don't rely on her for treatment if you have serious problems that need close attention. She's also pushes the most expensive pills first.
Dr. Loriaux is a egotistical narcissist who is more concerned with spouting off research than treating the patients he sees.
Our young son had unfortunately experienced a seizure. We obviously care deeply for him, and wanted to weigh pros and cons, as well as alternative options, before putting him on seizure medication. Dr. Lim knew little about alternative options and was, in effect, demeaning toward us for bringing these up. If you're interested in having a conversation with a neurologist about alternatives to pharmaceuticals, Dr. Lim may not be the person to see.
Dr Voge delivered my son and I could not have had a better experience. I felt like her priority the whole way through my delivery. I was so impressed and would recommend her to any and everyone!
Dr.Thakar is a fantastic surgeon. Though, the office staff is horrible. There was no follow through, forgetful staff, 45-60 min. waits while you hear the staff chit chat about life around the desks. Susan Sellers who takes care of the insurance for the office is rude and lazy. She should be fired to be honest. Overall, I will say the result was good but the process was a nightmare.
I switched Pediatricians to Dr. Weeda, because she is one of the most personable, attentive, and helpful doctors that my son has seen. I highly recommend her, especially if your child has atypical issues. She helps you figure them out, and if she helps cooridinate external care if needed, as well. She does not disregard your concerns, like many other doctors do. She takes a vested interest in the well-being of her patients, in continuous care, not just single-appointment care.
She explained everything thoroughly. I felt heard. She was warm and present. She didn't hurt me at all. I felt trust.
I had a horrible experience with Dr. Yoo. Initially everything seemed good. OHSU is a lovely hospital and the staff was kind and helpful with my questions and concerns. I explained that I only wanted Dr. Yoo to perform the surgery. He said that was fine and I put my health and future into his hands. I discovered that he allowed the residents to cut in me and nerves were severed. Everyday I'm in extreme pain and have been left disabled. When I spoke with Dr. Yoo, he was irritated and cruel. Avoid
This Dr. Is a complete joke. His bedside manner is the worst, I had ever witnessed. I can't believe he had a med student with him. What a bad example. I waited over 45 minutes only to be seen for less than 5 min and not one bit of info about my ear pain. He must remember me calling him a WEIRDO!
I have seen Dr. Zald and his staff many times over the last year and they all have been very supporting and helpful. Dr. Zald takes whatever time needed to answer questions and make sure I leave feeling like I know what is going on. He is thorough and knowledgeable.
Seems nice at first, promises you the world. Had extensive spine surgery. Immediately experienced excruciating pain while in hospital. Leaves you in pain and doesn't care. 6 months later, pain has gotten worse by the month.
I had a horrible experience. Dr. Zald caused me great pain and had zero bedside manner. I told him twice to stop because he was probing so deeply in my infected ear. He didn't even tell me it was infected until I told him to stop to ask him what he was doing. I plan to report him to the medical board.
He hurt my ear unbelievably and caused bleeding..... all to remove ear wax. His "bedside manner" is non-existent, in my way of thinking. In good conscience, I would not recommend him.
Terrible, terrible bedside manner. Didn't listen to symptoms. Started scoping me within one minute of being there, without even asking. Was not sympathetic. Would not recommend.
Dr. Zald has been very helpful over the last year in treating my sinus cancer. He takes time to explain things, to give good care, and to make sure all of my questions are answered. When he does a procedure he takes care to make sure I am comfortable. He is very knowledgeable and capable. His medical assistant, too, is very helpful and caring. I have appreciated them both.
This was the most pathetic experience I have had at a doctors office. I waited 1.5 hrs so this guy could stumble in and spend 1 min talking awkwardly and look in my ears and tell me nothing and have no options to pursue. I wasn't there for medication I was there to understand why I was having pain and discomfort. When he scowled at me and stopped talking I stood up to leave. He obviously is busy and thought I was wasting his time. I asked if we were on the same page or if he was not underdtanfin
I had surgery -laminectomy and fusion 19 months ago and have never had pain or any sign of weekness, lifted 80 lbs of cement bags today . only pain was a small feeling on skin ,size of a cigarette pack, about one month ,no surgery pain or need for pain pills, Tremendous recovery
