I had to see her before I could get a pregnancy test, though she is not my regular doctor. She told me I was too fat to have a safe pregnancy and then cheerily told me my blood test came back negative, despite me telling her we were trying to have a baby (I got pregnant a month later and have been healthy). She also ordered sham blood tests that came back negative for whatever fake obesity-related disease she decided I had. She is the reason I am leaving the Sellwood Medical Clinic.

Too often it seems doctors have one foot out the door during the regular preventative visits; Leslie Gregory was present, engaged, and practical during my appointment and I left the visit feeling empowered and like I had someone on my side to tackle my health concerns. I didn’t feel shamed or judged or that it was a waste of my time, and when I left I didn’t feel like I forgot to talk about anything, she was proactive in covering all of the bases. Looking forward to building a relationship with this provider!

Merinda was amazing. At my first visit, she made me feel so at ease instantly, and she was super knowledgeable about all the medical issues I had coming up. She took time to listen and take me seriously about issues that other providers have brushed off. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

I saw this practitioner for a refill on my medication I take for ADHD. I am prescribed a low dose, and have consistently done everything correctly in terms of appropriately handling my prescription. This provider was extremely skeptical (without good reason) and asked why I needed them. When I explained that I have a diagnosed condition, (and that the office has the appropriate documentation) she seemed visibly put off by this. I understand that there are certain psych meds that practitioners are uncomfortable prescribing. I fully respect this. However, I wish I’d known her views prior to scheduling an appointment- I feel that it would’ve saved us both time and energy. Additionally, I felt like I had to prove I was “bad enough” to receive a refill on a prescription that I’ve had for several years.

Brittany Petering, MD is absolutely amazing! She goes the extra mile to make sure we are heard and all of our questions are answered. She is extremely knowledgeable and our kids absolutely love her. We have a very shy son, our first visit with her she was able to get him to immediately warm up to her. She took the time to just sit and talk with him, by the time we left he was smiling ear to ear. He no longer fears going to the doctor but instead is excited to see his doctor. Highly recommend.

She gave me terrible advice. She overdosed me by prescribing 8 times strength dose of medicine I had had in past. The dose of lisinopril was so high I ended up in ER because my bp dropped to 92/68 and I couldn’t get out of bed on my own. I was basically knocked out from weakness. At ER they said much too high a dose for me and told me to stop taking amount she gave for me. I was then prescribed a dose 8 times lower by my new doctor. She also told me to eat nothing but canned beans and dark greens. I asked to see a nutritionist and she refused to let me and said I just needed to eat what she said. I then asked if she was being literal and she said yes. I just want you to eat beans and dark greens. I said that was very hard to do and said again I would like to see a nutritionist . She didn’t listen to me. Then I received a bill for a video conference I never had with her. Do not go to this person if you care about your health

DR. Schwab is the best pediatrician my kids have been seen. She’s so upbeat and positive. She makes them feel comfortable. Because of an insurance change we weren’t able to see her for a year. My kids missed her. She takes time with every patient . She is the BEST!!!!

She was an excellent listener, responsive in a crisis and showed genuine concern. She was thorough, communicative, knowledgeable and was great at sharing her thoughts with me throughout. She was also kind and responsive to my daughter who had to attend the appointment with me. I wish I had discovered her years ago. I think my health would be much better if I did.

I was in excruciating pain during an exam, and this provider suggested that it was “all in my head” and that “I just need to relax.” She seemed rushed for time, and her dismissive attitude bordered on blatantly inconsiderate. Her demeanor throughout the appointment was unprofessional, and I left feeling like I did something wrong (just for going to a doctors appointment and very calmly expressing that I was in pain early on.) She also seemed to totally disregard my concerns, and didn’t employ active listening skills at all. I went to another doctor after this appointment, who really devoted time to listening to my symptoms. This provider was able to accurately gauge my situation, simply because she took the time to just LISTEN.

I saw Ms. Gregory in place of my PCP who was out of the office, and I wish I would have just waited. She never introduced herself, never washed her hands before examining me, and immediately upon entering the room began to tell me a diagnosis. She was spoke poorly of other providers in the community and disregarded the care I had received elsewhere. She wasn't interested in what I had to say and talked on and on about toxins and hydration. The worst appt I've ever had.

My son see's Dr. Schwab who is a great provider, he was diagnosed with autism and we were told he needs to start early intervention and see a pediatric neurologist. This was over 4 months ago and we have still not been able to get a neurology referral started. My wife and myself have contacted this office multiple times to find out the status of the referral we were told we needed for early intervention. We have been told it will be handled and we will get a call back. We have not had a call

Leslie takes a holistic approach and looks to connect the pieces rather than treat one specific issue. I appreciate her persistence in trying to figuring out the root cause of my issues. She is very approachable and has an outgoing personality that makes you feel comfortable. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Great first visit for my 5 year old son. She asked good questions and answered mine helpfully. My only critique is that on the handout they provided about where my kid is developmentally, they recommend standing in a corner time outs as good discipline. Very old school discipline technique, in my view.
