Dr, Cetas is very caring and personable. She made me comfortable through my whole diagnosis and breast surgery. She's followed up and made me feel cared for. I love her!
I am conducting this survey for my uncle. I am his caretaker and he has stage 4 adenocarcinoma. Our experience with Sophia was beyond anything I have experienced with an MD. When we met, it was not a "good day". This was our first meeting with her after moving him from OK. She spent almost 3 hours with us. She brought in social workers and sat with us while we talked.
Lucky to get 15 min with a dr these days. She is special and feel blessed if you can be with her.
Compassionate and intelligent
he's the best - his compassion, concern, patience, and humor are matched only by his knowledge and professionalism. always ready to answer questions, explain details and/or options, ask pertinent questions, be open with the patient.
Dr. Flynn is really smart and nice. He listens, which most doctors don't seem to want to do, and let me tell my story from start to finish and show him pictures on my phone. When I said that I didn't know if he needed all that information he was really nice about it and said its better to hear too much than too little!
I had a corrective urological surgery done by Dr. Dugi and I can't say enough praise on his skills, sound judgement and advise. Along with his excellent bedside manners and his skilled staff. I was suffering for years and didn't know it till it got so bad, this Doctor came to me to help me and change my whole life. I listened to him and he really made my life better.
Excellent surgeon with great bedside manner. Made me very comfortable.
Dr. Choose is an excellent surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone, he is such a kind and caring person . I trusted him with my life and between the. Lord and Dr. Cho, I am a survivor.
I saw Dr. Cirino 6-7 times over the course of 9 months and grew to dislike her more over time. She seemed to be intelligent and knowledgeable, but her manner with patients was cold and dismissive. For example, she would sit with her back to me typing notes as I talked to her, and told me more than once she was on-call so she would answer her phone if it rang during my appointment. Overall, I felt dismissed and more of a hindrance than someone paying her for services.
did not seem to care. had to beg for pain relief after a medicine he used left me screaming in pain, he had no sense on urgency.
Well educated Doctor. Has vested interest in not prescribing even mild opioid pain relief-
You may get relief of pain from temp but severe injury or operation follow up with a doctor familiar with your history. When you hurt like hell, just say no isn't an option.
My son was terrified of all doctors, but with Dr. Robert Coryell my son loved him. Now he is not scared of any Dr.'s. THANK GOSH
I KNOW IN MY HEART he will do his very best to help me in any way through his diagnoses, what would be the most effective method to begin my drastic road to recovery. I am confident he will advise my personal physician, Dr. S. Kallingal, how to prevent my heart attack to occur.
I've only had one visit with Dr Istrate - our introduction visit. I found him to be very easy to talk to, he took time to go over my medical history, my ongoing illness's, and my queasiness when it comes to poking me with sharp, metal things - told him to read the inside folder for all my idiosyncrasies that my previous doctor had to put up with! I feel very comfortable with him and feel I can talk freely with him about any recommendations he may make and I may not agree with.
Dr. Halsey was pleasant, kind, and established rapport well with my sensitive teen who has seen plenty of physicians, thus, is not easily impressed with doctors these days. Dr. Halsey seemed caring, genuine (resident was ok). We agree with the plan. This was *not* an urgent appointment, so scheduled over a month prior to the visit. We were given a buzzer at check-in to notify us of when staff would bring us back for the exam. This allowed us to walk a bit and grab a coffee as we were early.
Lectured me on the importance of peer reviewed journal articles without clarifying that I am reading the research, despite clearly not having read recent research himself. His bedside manner was cold & rude. He argued with me regarding things he mistakenly thought I disagreed with him on. Did not present a recommendation--I had to guess. The other staff member present rolled their eyes apologetically.
First of all she's just a lovely human being! I was in the E.D. at Tuality when I met her, terrified and very ill. Her presence was warm, reassuring, and intelligent. She came by every day I was in hospital and when nurses had questions, needing to reach her off hours, she responded immediately so I never had to wait for pain meds or any kind of care. She's very present, listens and responds thoughtfully and with real care. She's a truly wonderful doctor!
I trust Dr. Krenkel and appreciate his warmth and insight. We've engaged in a comfortable exchange that has allowed me to reflect and better understand my needs. It's easy to schedule & re-scheudule appointments and he promptly responds to emails.
After two+ decades of not doing any therapy, I decided to give it a try again. I really wanted to try to get back on some meds but when Kratzer explained he only does med mgmt with his therapy pts I knew it was a good chance for me to check back in with myself. With Dr. Kratzer's help, I've been learning to see some things differently and focus on the things that are more important to me. I would definitely recommend him.
Nice man, but poor quality care. Was unable to help me make even incremental progress after many visits. Seem to have a set approach and was unable to change even with our lack of progress.
Dr Harmon is still unaccountable for his gross negligence regarding my husband's death. His arrogance and complete lack of knowledge caused my husband to suffer an excruciating death. All the while ignoring my pleas to allow him to go back to his cancer team. Dr Harmon is not an oncologist nor hematologis. Yet he decided to step in and override my husband s cancer team. I may not be able to afford council, but I can tell my story to those who donate to OHSU and the cancer ward.
Dr. Harmon was excellent in taking care of my father, who was hospitalized with metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head/neck. He managed to get my dad in a better state than he had been in the prior 5 weeks. He was very good about communicating the plan - even called me to give updates after I flew back home across the country. He has a good bedside manner and is caring of the patient as well as the patient's family. We had a great experience at OHSU.
I want a dermatologist that is going to check me over and cut off the spots that look questionable. Dr Liu did just that. I found her bedside manner professional and efficient.
Very caring and kind. Has been helping me work through my medical issues after a long stint of being uninsured. I owe her my quality of life after spending time working with me.
Awful she is horrible Dr ! She pretty much does nothing helpful runs you in circles does not care how uncomfortable and in pain you are. The first visit I had with her she told me she can only discuss one thing at a time if I had other things to discuss I would need to make an appointment so I can pay another copay and they can get fat wallets. And don't worry if you're in pain she willmake you take all kinds of crappy pills that don't work .
Dr.Liu was professional and answered all my questions. So far, i am very satisfied with her care.
Dr. Lieberman has been my GI doctor at the VA hospital for almost 30 years now.
While working there he was working on his internship at OHSU.
I would consider him to be top in his field. He's one of the most considerate and compassionate Dr. I know.
I see him off and on every 2 or 3 years and he still remembers everything about me and my family that means a lot to me.
I would highly recommend him to anybody.
Dr. Lee was amazing to me and my family. He was attentive to the fact that I was a little shaken up to be in the emergency room, made sure I was treated quickly and explained my diagnosis and the treatment in a way I could understand.
I was worried I wouldn't walk again and he detected the problem very swiftly. I'm now independently walking. I'm very grateful.
Awful doctor! First consultation she spent 1 min talking to my husband & decided he had dementia & very insulting told him so. I objected & also got insulted as "I'm not a doctor". She did no tests before saying that & completely missed the HBP that was causing the problem. He ended up hospitalized that night. With the BP corrected, he was fine but now has "dementia with behavioral changes" written by Khangura in his patient history! This misdiagnosis in his chart causes many problems for us.
Very disrespectful and rude, particularly to elderly people. This doctor is condescending and just plain mean. She looks very young and tries to over compensate by bullying and puffing up. She has no compassion for the elderly or people with cognitive issues.
Very brash rude doctor that raises her voice and insults patients. Avoid this one.
Very good communicator, very knowledgeable, and very calming approach to patient care.
I've seen dr kasik several times with no answers. Everything is so dragged out. Her assistants literally take a week to get back to me with wrong information. So I do more waiting while feeling absolutely miserable. No sense of urgency or solutions except for prescribing anti depressants, even though I am NOT depressed.
Dr kasik may be a good physician if your problem is easy to diagnose or you need drugs. Anything mildly complex, all I can say is good luck! Your symptoms must be all in your head. She also disregarded how horrible I was feeling. I'm a 30 yr old female, how can tHere be something wrong with me? Nothing worse then being extremely sick and going to a doctor for help, only to be blown off!! Her assistants are morons as well!
Dr kegel performed an trigger finger surgery on my hand 8 years ago, my hand is still on pain and lost its function.
Unlike far too many doctors, Kasik doesn't seem to have her pride on the line. She is not afraid to admit what she cannot do. This leads to her actually pursuing unexplained issues rather than passing them off with a scapegoat diagnosis, unlike many doctors who feel their pride is at stake.
She is the best I just love her she saved my life I would highly recommend her she is personable emails you on her own time she properly diagnosed me has put me on correct medication she truly cares my whole family see her my husband who had same dr for 15 yrs now sees her we wish we would of known her years ago.Trust me once you meet her you will feel like your not a number she is awesome.i have serious health issues I felt hopeless til I started seeing her I love her and so will you trust me
Dr. Kangura uses scare tactics, Not friendly, Not compassionate or understanding, cold, uncaring and very sarcastic and patronizing. She is belligerent, loud and disrespectful... NOT PROFESSIONAL AND HATEFUL! Dr. Kangura misdiagnosed and prescribed the wrong medication causing me increased pain and stress with no acknowledgment of her mistake or my pain... not cool! She then proceeded to tell me I HAVE TO TRUST HER! WHAT A JOKE!
I went to Emergency room OHSU with my chest pain. They provided the microbubble echocardiology (myocardial contrast echocardiography), which they said was very powerful test, used by Dr. Sanjiv Kaul MD. After 2-day testing procedure, Dr. Kaul analyzed results and came to conclusion that I have no problem with my heart and can go home. I was about to die from clogged coronary artery and next 2 days open heart surgery in St. Vincent saved my life.
I DO NOT Recommend you to believe Dr. Kaul. .
If you have HCM I would urge you to visit Dr. Heitner - period. Great cardiologist who diagnosed and treated the issues that I have after others could not - and I have had the opportunity to be treated at Emory in Atlanta and the UW in Seattle. Can be tough to get an appointment unless it's urgent but other than that no complaints. He a good physician with an excellent staff.
She does not have compassion, acts in a superior manner, and is not a quality doctor. Do not see her
Dr Heitner is a cardiologist at OHSU. He took a "do no harm" risk adverse approach to the arterial blockage in my heart. We are treating with benign medications that may reverse the blockage. I like this option better than implanting a stent and blood thinners with the risk of redeveloping a blockage.
He is the first doctor to recommend Ubiquinol to avoid side effects of statins (works for me). He is very busy. His staff is excellent in supporting the treatment plan that he established.
An outstanding physician. Listens carefully and respectfully, explains options and potential tradeoffs clearly, incorporates patient's emotional well-being into decision making. His office is unbelievably responsive to questions and appointment needs. One of the best doctors I have ever been treated by.
Great experience all around. Great doctor.
Dr. Heckler, as many young physicians, is very adept at explaining medical conditions, giving clear instructions and outlining a course of treatment. She is pleasant and takes the time to be thorough and yet efficient. My former doctor in a city miles away, had a great reputation, but I found his office to be a factory and felt as if I was merely a piece in the process. The Vancouver Clinic and Dr. Heckler and her staff made me feel like a human being.
My mother was diagnosed with advanced uterine cancer at Kaiser and they referred her to OHSU. Dr. Moffett was the perfect fit for our family. Nice, yet direct and informative. Listened to her patient's wishes and helped explain it all to the entire family. She performed surgery and took care of the care of plan of chemo and radiation which is being performed by Kaiser.
Listened to my concerns and related to me in a wholistic way. I've seen several doctors trying to get a diagnosis, including another gynecological oncologist. She is the 1st to examine me hands-on vs. just during a proceedure. She expressed an interest in all aspects of my health vs. one body part or condition. I've only seen her once thus far, but so far, so good. She even managed to get a biopsy that the gynecologist tried to do unsuccessfully.
She listened to me and took time to thoroughly examine me. She diagnosed me with Lupus which I and other doctors have been suspecting for years. My phone calls with concerns and questions have been returned promptly by her nurse after consulting with her.
when i as at emanual on a VERY LONG 3 1/2 month bed rest stay, she was very attentive and social with me when she was working. i remember the scariest time was the night before i had my emergency c section and she came in and sat at the end of my bedfor like 45 mins and just talked to me like i was a friend of hers. she let me cry and also helped me laugh. it was amazing. i felt like a friend to her and not just a long term patient. i wish i could see her again to tell her how thankful i am!
Totally misdiagnosed rheumatoid and inflammatory arthritis and insisted it was pseudo-gout. The RA and IA have been well documented for more than 20 years by 2 rheumatology board specialists. Told me I should be able to reduce long term prednisone use from 6 mg daily by 1 mg every month. She wouldn't listened; didn't believe me with problems I was having. She took the place of a long time specialist that I'd seen for 20 years. I'll never go back to her.
Dr Orloff either mis diagnosed me or she wanted to use me to teach new doctors because she thought I would die anyway. I had a blocked artery under my liver. OHSU told me I had a rare blood disorder and put me on blood thinners which almost killed me. It never cured the problem and ---long story short--I almost died several times from bleeding out. Since they never fixed the real problem, it became worse and blood vessels in my esophagus swelled up and bled into my stomach. I had many many trans
I would recommend Dr. Susan Orloff for one simple reason. She saved my life when she resected my cancerous liver 10 years ago. If you want to live, then put your life in her hands. There are hundreds of people alive today because of this Saving Angel. My oncologist gave me 12 months. Dr. Orloff has given me, so far, 10 years. She is the best.
Unbelievable, I haven't had a doctor take so much time out of he schedule to explain procedures to me since was a kid. The follow-up from her and her staff was fantastic. The care for all of my needs was prompt and done with extreme concern for my well being.
Great doctor for my surgery. Very grateful for his skill and demeanor!
Regarding thyroid And adenal conditions he is not well trained dealing with adrenal thyroid patients. Also, he likes to lower thyroid dosage without the proper labs. He is rude with patients and believe we are experiments.
Dr Marshall is very compassionate but doesn't think outside the box on caring for her patients. I had lost a baby under her care due to her non assertiveness and basically sticking to what the books had told her what and what not to do. She doesn't listen very well either and basically tells me what I want to hear. I don't recommend seeing her for perinatal care and you should seek someone who has more experience.
Dr. Marty is smart, thorough and personable.
I've found Dr. Martin to be a great listener and very responsive to my medical needs. I appreciate that he does not seem quick to medicate and takes the time to learn the bigger picture (stress, sleep, nutrition) not just the symptoms. His approach was focused and personal, very humanizing. He is also one of the few doctors that seems to run on time or close to it. I highly recommend him.
I'm writing on behalf of my mom. Dr. Martin was very dismissive regarding her symptoms making her feel like she was being dramatic. After research on google my mother found 2 diseases that had the symptoms she's been experiencing + asked him to test her for them. She had to insist, he told her they were rare + she most likely didn't have either. Turns out she has Myasthenia Gravis. Glad she figured it out with no medical degree. Dr. M needs to work on listening + focus on helping not dismissing
Dr. Tsikitis is very skillful in making a procedure quick and painless. She's excellent at explaining the risks and benefits of a procedure beforehand using percentages. She works well with her medical team and staff to ensure patient comfort. The staff included, Troy, Juliette (Reception), Linda (IV Nurse), Marcy (Sedation Nurse), Kris (Tech), Autumn (Med Assist), Teresa (Recovery Nurse). So Scheduling, questions/concerns, forms, pain-free IV insertion, sedation, followup etc. All perfect!
I am pregnant with identical twins and have seen Dr. Tronnes 3 times now and never got the impression of the previous reviewer. I have felt comfortable and well taken care of at every visit. I would give 5 stars, but i feel i would need to of seen her more for any higher of a rating. But so far i am happy with my care.
He is an excellent doctor. He has been my son's doctor since his diagnose in 1998. I don't think we could have made it this far, Cancer free since 2000, without Dr. Tilford. Very thorough, caring, and efficient. Love him!
Poor bedside manner, doesn't seem to care about anything at all. It's like she's irritated that you interrupted her day for your and child's health care.
Horrible bed side manner, inaccurate notes, dismissive.
Prompt, really listens, personable, and has been good with my medications. Basically everything I could have hoped for in a psychiatrist.
Dr. Sauvain was my physician for 11 years and was a wonderful Dr. She has an excellent ability to diagnose and provide an appropriate treatment.
Dr Sher cares and will never leave you feeling you are just a patient without real needs and concerns. She will take the time to listen to you and discuss your treatment. She is truly focused on making you feel like her most important interest at the time she sees you. She listens to you and answers your questions without feeling rushed to see other patients.
My son was seen by Dr. Spiro at Summerlin ER. He was amazing. He treated him quickly and took the time to explain his condition to us. He was compassionate and friendly and our 4 year old did great with him.
I've been her patient for over 2 years now. Dr. Emma has been an excellent Dr. She is compassionate, caring, personable and very friendly, extremely competent and confident and I have felt very lucky to be her patient.
Horrible customer service by office staff and Hospital policy
I recently had a fantastic breast augmentation performed by Dr. Streu. I have been so pleased with my results (she has an acute eye for precision!!!) Dr. Streu listened intently to my desired results and showed me with an imaging screen (with MY body, by the way!) two possibilities that fit my desired spectrum. If you are considering having Dr. Streu perform your BA, you will not be disappointed!
Would make a better pathologist than child psychiatrist. Exceedingly arrogant with poor communication skills. Would not recommend.
My son met with Dr. Thoits at Western Psychological last May and were told to wait until the end of August to schedule another appointment since the issue was school related. The August appointment was to create a plan for our son for success during the upcoming school year. When I called to make the appointment, I was told that the file on my son was closed since the doctor has not seen him since May and that the Dr. was leaving the clinic. They referred us to another clinic and we waited for a
Dr Streu was amazing. She was super focused on working with me to achieve the best results possible, and spent as much time as I needed to explain the procedure and answer my questions and concerns. I found her extremely sensitive to my needs. And her caring approach was so reassuring. Couple that with her obvious knowledge and skills, and you couldn't ask for more I highly recommend her.
She's extremely condescending, extremely hard to get in contact with, doesn't respond to messages and takes a long time to refill medications. She doesn't take any of your concerns into consideration. I've dealt with dozens of doctors these past couple of years and she is by far the worst out of all of them. She doesn't seem to actually care about her patients. If you like doctors who actually work with you and take your input into consideration, then you better find a different doctor than her!
My son was a patient of Dr. Viola's at OHSU and he was wonderful. He always made time to answer our questions, he listened to our inputs and concerns and showed the utmost concern for our son's well-being. I highly recommend him!
I was diagnosed with a rare lung disease by Dr Mouton when he finally decided to have me take tests instead of going off his "hunch." After diagnosed, months went by of him telling me there was nothing we could do as I worsened and worsened. He perscribed morphine for the pain and coughing waiting for me to die. When I refused to give up, I went for another opinion. They found 5 different infections in my lungs (something he never checked) and treated them with antibiotics. Still not dead Dr.
My son had exploratory knee surgery. His pain was 2-3 years. Dr Brady was top knotch. She explained everything. Stellar bedside. Great with a teenager. Super on the surgical end. Very very happy. I would recommend her highly.
Not only was Dr. Munch dismissive of my pain, but she humiliated me. I went to see her for a knee injury. She told me, "If you really want surgery, you should get a gastric bypass." She said my pain was arthritis and that I just had to live with it (no attempt to treat the presumed OA). Eventually, a second opinion led to an MRI, which revealed that I had both a torn meniscus and a torn ACL. Surgery fixed my issue (thanks, Dr. Sewell!), but I was in pain one year longer than necessary.
Dr Ng was terrific. I will return in the future as well as recommend her to my family and friends.
Dr. Mudd is a thoughtful clinician, however he is also very realistic about what he and his team may be able to provide to you as a patient. CHF is a serious disease and he will give you his best care helping you to manage your disease.
She is an amazing Doctor, she has been taking care of my son for the last 18 months. She has been reconstructing his left knee and has been up front with every little detail that has flagged concern with his knee. She has been a part of the family we have cried together, laughed together and prayed together for healing to my child she is wonderful at what she does and I would recommend her to anyone at anytime for surgery in limbs.
She said I need physical therapy. She never followed through with getting me into physical therapy! Also, using mychart is worthless (with her).
Dr. Ng is new to this clinic, and due to the retirement of another physician, she is now my doctor. I couldn't be happier. She is efficient and thorough, giving very clear instructions on what I am to do to follow up.
I've been a patient of Dr. Yao's over a period of approximately eighteen months. He, in the first month, identified a life-threatening health issue other physicians had overlooked for thirty years. Identifying the problem, and resolving it, extended my life by a decade, probably. He's intelligent, perceptive and unabashed with his evaluations. You may not want to hear what he tells you, but you are going to leave an appointment knowing what you've been told. He doesn't tap dance. Recommended.
Dr. Yao is an ineffective doctor. Do not waste your time with him. Terrible doctor that will not help his patient in a time of need.
We have nothing good to say about dr.yao. He should find a new profession.
Dr Zerbe pulled me through a tough time in my life related to trauma. Professional, empathetic, and very present. She knows her stuff. Highly recommend.
Dr. Yuan saw my husband for low T. Though I'm not a physician, I work in the medical field and do a lot of reading. After a bit of research my husband and I decided that, rather than starting with HRT, we would try another method to spur his body to produce its own testosterone. When we told Dr Yuen everything we had tried he shamed us for being proactive. He accused me of using my husband as a guinea pig. In the end he offered the same treatment that he shamed us for. Unimpressed
It always take more than one appt. to build a relationship with a doctor. Dr. Zivony is an excellent doctor who has gotten results that have left other Gastro docs scratching their heads asking me why he did what he did. I like results and getting better. Thanks doc!
Dr. Yee is an extremely good listener and asks a great many questions of the patient to make sure she understands the problem. She explained the procedure to me in good detail and took the time to give me a detailed tour of my MRI. My post-procedure results were excellent in reducing my back pain. I will continue to see her for more ambitious procedures.
