Gastroenterology
Dr. Wrigley was my specialist physician for over 20 years. He saved my life when I was 38 years old by the diagnosis of a lethal colon tumor and the rapid coordination with a surgeon to have it removed along with 2/3 of my colon. He continued to my physician for the next two decades until he retired from his clinical practice. I had several episodes of severe diarrhea during those years and he prescribed medication that allowed me not have the removal of my colon and live without external bag. At age 55 I had a reoccurrence of my cancer and had my colon removed and replaced with a J pouch. This treatment like the chemotherapy he prescribed when I was 38 was leading edge medical technology which allowed me not only to survive a disease with a high fatality rate but to live a fairly normal life. He is an outstanding medical professional and it is difficult to find the words to describe the impact he has on my life.

I have never in my life had a doctor disregard everything my husband and I said. We told her what worked and what didn’t. Everything we told her that didn’t work she used on me and now nothing is resolved and I feel 100 times worse. She does not have her patients best interest. She does what she wants!!! Horrible

Dr. Punsalan is the best! I have had so many issues with my cervical stenosis and arms hands pain and I have seen so many different doctors In past he took so much time and went over every detail of my test results in took so much time to explain in detail and so I understood why they can't do surgery and why it's all happening very caring and compassionate I am so glad that I moved to the Vancouver/Portland area 2 years ago from. Seattle the medical I have received is unremarkable OHSU top notch care no comparison I was getting no where in Seattle at University of Washington medical. Dr Punsalan should get a award for his outstanding service he provides!!! Thank you for everything

Dr. Holland is the best doctor I've ever had! He is caring, kind and very knowledgeable. I've had cancer twice and both times he cared for me. He treated me so well and was quick to react if something showed up on my MRI. He saved my life twice. He goes above and beyond what a normal doctor would do. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else caring for me during those difficult times in my life. I feel so lucky that I had Dr. Holland as my doctor. Your in the best hands with him!

Dr. Moulton is thoughtful and caring. He saw my daughter in the ER when she had a saddle pulmonary embolism and treated her aggressively to save her life. He then cared for her in the ICU. He was thorough in his explanations and kept our family informed in a very caring way. I will be forever grateful to him for saving my daughter’s life.

Cardiology
We have found Dr. Heitner to be inaccessible by telephone and appointments. He only sees patients one day per week, and his appointment calendar is easily log jammed for several months. A nurse coordinator does most of his communication with patients; and this is not an optimal way to treat patients. He will only consult with a patient about their needs sporadically. Definitely a hands-off doctor. Can not recommend his services in good conscience. Various family & friends initially recommended him, but he has fallen out of their good graces too. Very unfortunate.

I cannot adequately express my appreciation for the care I have received from Dr. Moffitt. She is skilled, compassionate and personable. I have been with her for four years. She has always been honest with me and clearly cares about my wellbeing. I am devastated by the news that she is no longer seeing patients at OHSU.

Orthopedic Surgery
Dr. Punsalan was unprepared for my appointment, as he had not reviewed my chart or my imaging. He did not listen to me when I talked, instead repeating that he was a "Western Medical Doctor" over and over again and calling my case "a bunch of puzzle pieces" that he was having trouble putting together. Furthermore, he did not physically examine my back and his notes about my appointment are lacking, misleading and in a few cases outright bogus lies. Very disappointed with Dr. Punsalan.

Dr. Punsalan is very responsive and clearly explained to me the result of my lumbar and hip xrays. And he also advised me the best solution to resolve the severe pain I am suffering with. Glad I was referred to him by my PCP, found the right Ortho for me.

1997 she removed 70 percent my liver and I had tumor size grapefruit. I am only alive today because of her. She saw me everyday and kind, compassionate and my friend. I will always be forever in her debt. She is my angel and always will be. I just wish I could tell her again what she means after all this time. My new gastro doctor knows of her and in awe of her.

Incredible doc! Amazing attention to detail, great personality, and one smart cookie. I am in the medical field myself and very picky about who I entrust my health and the health of my family to. My grandparents loved him, my parents love him and I live him very much. Best doc ever!!!!

Dr. Halsey is a wonderful doctor. We’ve been with him since our five year old was first born, and plan to stay with him for years to come. Any parent that has had a child that has had to undergo surgeries is very scary, and Dr. Halsey made my husband and myself feel confident in his expertise, and put many of our fears to rest. He has always been non judgmental, and made us feel more than comfortable. I couldn’t ask for a better doctor for us to put our child’s wellbeing in. Thank you Dr Halsey

I would highly recommend Dr. Cigarroa to anyone with heart problems. As head of cardiology at OHSU he is most knowledable and experienced in his field. Dr. Cigarroa has done several interventions on myself over the years and he is my number one pick.
