His visits are more of a psychological overview than reviewing patient complaints. He did not review the patient information sheet. When I proceeded to tell him of my right sided symptoms of pain and weakness, he went into this long speech about how fear causes out brains to jump to conclusions and then asked me if I had ever heard of hypochondria. I was given adequate amount of time in his office, but inspite of my verbal and written complaints, he charted "everything normal".
Dr Schmerler has a warm approach with his patient. For a first contact we found him to be a very good listener. Dr Schmerler was capable to create an atmosphere of trust in us which is quiet remarkable since I have had nothing but let down experiences with other practicioners in this medical field! We are looking forward to his guidance at being able to control my husband challenge.
Never saw my scans, spent less than 5 min, seemed so dis-interested. Not going to see him again.
He doesn't listen to what you are saying. He just assumed he is right. That Dr is God mentality. Assumed I was there for seizures but have lost memory. Got test done went back asked how I felt told him. He said oh because of your seizures. NO listen and read the chart dude.
Did not look at my chart, did not look at my CT scan, really did not give me the time of day. He did not answer the questions I had. I am currently looking for another neurologist for a second opinion. It was a waste of my time.
I waited two months to get in to see him and 5 minutes was only spent with me the day I get in. He did not ask me about my past medical history, did not seem interested in what I had to say and the questions I asked were brushed off. I came out of the office in tears.
I had a chance to be checked by Dr Schmerler a few years back. He looked at the result of my MRI for possible brain aneurysm and luckily I was ok. My husband and I really love how smart and nice he was to us and still talk about him sometimes. He was very engaging and can pretty much discuss any subject, very impressed with his wealth of knowledge.
Saw him for 4+ yrs.always felt dismissed re:?'s. Wait up to 3 hours for 15 minutes. that's all.4 years of falling, breaking bones, vision probs, got1 mri. Dx glaucoma steered me to nontraditional self care. Had ?'s but was drug screened? Now see neuro opthamalogist for neuro eye disease w/optic nerve damage, HE could have prevented it if he read symptom sheet or LISTENED. His asst tho is a gem. Called to cxl appts, then recvd letter of non compliance. What Dr does that to established patient?no
Dr. Neumann comes across very subtle and confident. He has a good bedside manner. He explains everything in detail and does not beat around the bush . He has performed lower lumbar fusion once and I was very satisfied. I have to have another fusion due to another bulging disc. I would consider anyone else for the surgery.
Mary Ellen ,his nurse is outstanding. Very knowledgeable and caring.
Doctor Smith has no compassion for his patients and refuses to answer questions the patient has. I was Fired as a patient because the disease I have is too much trouble for him to help with.
My grandma was admitted to the hospital with neck and arm pain and decompensated quickly. The family feared dementia or stroke. Dr. Perkins evaluated Grandma and let us know her severe case of shingles is causing her nerve pain and most likely delirium, no dementia at this time. He was patient and kind and my Grandma is ornery and sick and disoriented. He was like an angel from heaven today.
DR.RISSOVER IS A COMPASSIONATE,CARING DOCTOR WHO LISTENS AND TRULY INVESTIGATES YOUR CONDITION. SHE EXPLAINS EVERYTHING SO WELL AND IS GENTLE WHEN DOING A TEST ON YOU.
I WOULD RECOMMEND HER TO EVERYONE.
Miss diagnosed my condition.
He is thorough and kind. He cares, at least for me he did. Highly recommended.
He is friendly and seems kind. But he completely blew off all my symptoms he ordered blood work that the office was too busy at 830 on a Monday morning to draw, a week later still have no results. I feel very ill and have had several fainting spells, I've already called for a second opinion.
Very attentive, kind. Showed immediate concern. Discussed and gave me options for follow-up. Top notch!
Dr. Rissover is very thorough and conscientious. I have a great amount of trust in her ability.
I was a patient at Jewish Hospital & he was the Neuro.
I have a pre-existing neurological disorder & had fallen twice, once witnessed by nurses at the hospital & incurred bruising on my face on impact. I agreed to be admitted based on the plan of a brain scan .
I 1st had an EEG & he gave the results to my sisters, who I do not have an amicable relationship with, violating my HIPPA rights, & decided a scan would be too expensive for a Medicare/Medicaid patient eventhough I am 3 yrs passed due
Worst doctor ever.. Doesnt listen or care.. Couldnt answer any of my questions and I have come out worse then I went in.. Go somewhere else!
Dr.Schwetschenau is one of the best doctors I've seen he has helped me very much. His staff is outstanding Kim and Rosa are great and the whole staff is very professional. I was so happy i got referred to him . My migraine i had for 18 months straight is gone. Thank You Dr.Schwetschenau
This doctor used google to diagnose me. It was a complete waste of time and MONEY.
Outstanding dr... took his time and answered all my questions.
My Mother experienced a serious side effect from Medication . None of our phone to Dr Hayes office were returned . She went to ER on day 4.
Horrible experience with Dr Jonathan Borden with my neck surgery!
A Doctor who takes the time to listen. Is knowledgeable and understanding.
He listens and explains things to you. Seems to really care about his patients and helping them.
I recently saw Dr. Jonathan Borden for a cervical fusion consultation. He is very upfront, professional, experienced and highly recommended. His whole office staff is outstanding !
I have a lot of experience with Dr. Maddux. My father has Parkinson's. I took him to many appointments. Dr. Maddux was pleasant and patient, though my dad is nearly deaf and very hard to communicate with. Dr. Maddux is positive and realistic. He says what he observes, predicts, and recommends. He takes plenty of time to answer questions. My dad won't take the med Dr. Maddux prescribed as directed, but the doctor has never taken an attitude about this. I highly recommend him.
First visit over an hour wait. Second visit over a two hour wait. Despite the nice staff and Dr Kachoris being thorough, this makes me want to find a new neurologist
Saw him for a second opinion- very straightforward. I was worried about his bedside manner from what I read but he was good with me. We waited awhile for him but I waited awhile for others also I think he tried and went above for me. I have my surgery coming up soon and I am just thrilled I finally found him and didn't get stuck with some of the others we met on our way. His staff is so nice- especially his PA and his surgery scheduler. ???????? For a great surgery.
Dr. Li always spends as much time with me as needed to answer whatever questions I have. She has a wonderful bedside manner and is very knowledgeable about migraine headaches and current treatment options.
Caring, thoughtful, through with excellent medical background and years of experience.
Not good at all. Treated me like I was faking, assumed I was non compliant due to malabsorption issues and even discharged me from his practice. He is very rude in my opinion.
Waited over two hours in the waiting room and in the room to be seen he did not care what I had to say and told me to go to my family dr because he couldn't help me which is not what the receptionist told me on the phone he's good with dealing with migraines she said
I had a disc herniation and my medical doctor thought I would need surgery. Dr. Borden did physical therapy at his TriHealth office (note: he is with TriHealth not Riverhills). It worked great! Really nice guy and straightforward.
Great doc! I was referred by my co-worker after her successful surgery, and mine went flawlessly. In and out at Evendale same day. What a great place. Got rid of that leg pain that was hobbling me for 2 months! Wish I got hooked up with Dr. Borden sooner! Great staff!
Dr. Borden was so nice and caring! His recommendations made me feel very comfortable. He showed me models and gave me alternatives and explained them well. I can tell he really cares for me. His assistants are so nice and helpful. I walked out of surgery pain free!
Dr. Borden is a great guy. My husband really liked his no nonsense straight talk. I had a very large tumor pressing into my spinal cord and causing severe pain. He removed it with a laser. The whole team was excellent. I loved the care at Bethesda North. Piece of cake.
Dr. Houston is an exceptionally well trained doctor, and is also a compassionate, friendly man
Borden significantly changed my life for the better. For years I struggled with serious lower back pain. I delayed a spinal fusion for about 4 years because I realized it will fix the pain but create other issues surrounding limited range of motion etc. I woke up from surgery in far less pain than I had been in for ten plus years. The outcome has been excellent. Dr. Borden is not a "warm and friendly" type physician. Go to him if you want an excellent surgeon not to make a new friend
Apparently my last post was also taken down. Dr. Borden was very rude and curt to me. He looked like he had just woke up and was very sloppy dressed.
I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.
My last post was taken down for Dr. Borden so I will try and be more professional in an attempt to give an accurate experience with Dr. Borden. He has little to no knowledge of my medical history. I told him my medical history rather than having an accurate view of my condition. Bedside manner was rude, curt. I have see at least 6 orthopedics before getting to a neurosurgeon in hopes he could fix my problem; however the staff and his personal PA was outstanding. I will leave it at that.
I have been a patient of Dr. for several years. He has always taken the time to understand my issues, diagnose my problem, identify the needed treatment and provide treatment that provides relief for my problem. He has a caring manner and is open with his ideas and suggestions about treatment. He instills confidence in his treatment and in his expected results. Excellent doctor who is part of an excellent group.
Dr. Cianciolo is a very kind and understanding doctor. He takes the time to explain everything you need to help your problem. He doesn't rush through your appt. time and seems to really want to listen to you. He's the best!
Our family loves Dr. Borden. He has done surgery on me twice over the years, both neck and back, as well as my husband, sister-in law and friends. Everyone has had a great experience. He is very thoughtful and gives very different recommendations based on the details of the situation. He does both standard surgeries and new techniques. He doesn't sugar coat things. We will keep him in the family!
Terrific surgeon. Very pleased. Outpatient surgery. Back to work!!!
Awesome!!! Truly a blessing finding Dr. Borden
I had a back surgery on December 30, 2014. The back surgery was worse than the pain I had prior to the surgery. The wooden indians that are outside of some Drug Stores have more personality than Borden. The 16 months of severe back pain has made me very limited in what used to be the normal activities that I engaged before the surgery. Be very very careful if you have to have back surgery regarding Borden..
Very smart and thorough!!
I think she is wonderful. She communicates well, works with me to find my own individual plan to help my migraines. She goes the extra mile that others will not.
Dr. Borden should be called Mr. No show On my first visit to his office in Montgomery, my appointment time was 9:30 and was told to get there a half hour early. I was taken back to his office at 9:40. At 10:30 I asked where Borden was and they said he was busy with other patients. I waited another 10 minutes and he never came. So I made another appointment for the following week at 8:30. After waiting for 45 minutes he called in sick. So I tried one more time, he didn't show up!!!
Any time I am hospitalized I am relieved when he is on call. He is very knowledgable in regards to a rare neurological disease that I have. He listens, and I genuinly feel like he cares and is trying to help. If it were not for him putting me on meds a year ago during a hospital stay I can't say that I would be here today as the neurologist I was seeing told me there was no hope and no medicine to treat my rare disorder. After 3 days and new meds I had hope. Dr. Feibel gave me hope.
Seems like a leader and is thankfully from the new england area. Best of luck in your practice. The mikutovicz family.
Trust back pain diagnosis at your own risk. Spinal fusion is not a cure all for back pain. Can cause more problems than it cures. Borden is a surgeon. He does surgery. Beware.
I would highly recommend Dr Fudala to anyone seeking relief from pain using Physical Therapy. His enthusiasm and sincere approach to design a personalized plan related to the injury/pain is incredible. Integrative Pain Solutions gains high marks from me with their realistic & responsible method of treatment. The combined approach between Dr Fudala & Dr Corneal & their staff helped me even more than I expected. Thank you
