My first time visit to Dayton Skin Care. Prior to my visit I fully completed the health questionnaire and on the day of my appointment told the nurse/pa the reason for visit was a serious rash and concerns about rough patches of skin on my face. When Dr. Hickman came into the exam room she did not introduce herself, barely said anything, took a quick glance at the rash and tell me it was contact dermatitis and to use over the counter meds even though I volunteered that OTC wasn't working. Only then did she hand me a print out listing product to use and avoid and that she would prescribe ointment. She then started to leave so I hastily had to stop her and ask what about my face. She distinctly gave the impression that I was bothering her but looked quickly (again) at my face and said it was precancerous, mumbled something about freezing then proceeded to spray my face with whatever it was without so much as giving me notice. She never explained what pre-cancer was or follow up care.

She has a terrible bedside manner. She didn't review my chart to help me decide my course of action. I was very distraught after my visit.

It was my first time visiting Dayton Skin Care. Even though I was a first-time patient, I was treated like a long-time patient. They even expedited my appointment based on my concerns over a skin growth. Everyone at Dayton Skin Care from the receptionist to the attending nurse to Dr. Hickman was pleasant, engaging, and empathetic to my concerns. I've never been more comfortable with a visit to a doctor. That's saying a lot because I was extremely concerned about my condition. Dr. Hickman was personable while at the same time highly professional. She answered all of my questions in a direct unevasive way. I truly appreciated that because it instilled confidence that I had chosen the right place - the best place - to seek a diagnosis and treatment.

Dayton Skin Care is an exceptional practice in every regard! I’ve been a patient of theirs for around 20 yrs. As a former sun worshiper, I’m fortunate to have been in the care of practice owner and specialist in Mohs surgery, Dr. Heidi Donnelly, who’s performed 3 successful Mohs surgeries to remove skin cancer (on my face). DSC has introduced me to cutting edge services and products that have improved my skin’s overall health and appearance. With their focus on safety and comfort level, I’ve received targeted treatments for aging skin, and I’ve been delighted with the results! Most importantly - as a skin cancer patient I’ve arrived to those appointments with many questions, sometimes scared, and have always been met with empathy, patience, answers and excellent care. Couldn’t be happier with Dr. Donnelly and Dayton Skin Care!

She is tops in her field- well versed in the latest research, highly professional, friendly, great sense of humor, empathetic, best surgeon I’ve encountered, and takes the time to thoroughly explain procedures and answer any questions or concerns. Her results speak to her excellence. I highly recommend Dr. Heidi Donnelly.

Went to Dr. Hickman twice. Both times she was extremely fast, barely acknowledging me and taking little time to explain or discuss anything (even my skin cancer diagnosis!) Second time I was there for a skin check (history of cancer at this point) and she barely glanced at my skin - didn't bother to look at my scalp at all. When I asked her about treatment for my hormonal acne she asked me what I would like for her to prescribe! Yikes. I wouldn't recommend. Seriously one of the worst doctors I've ever seen.

Stay away from Dr. Hickmann. She came into the room, looked at my skin for 1 minute, misdiagnosed me with allergies, referred me to another doctor, and then left. Very unprofessional, curt, and uninformed.

Was very uninterested in important background genetic and medical information. Spent no more than 5 seconds glancing at a painful and suspicious (based on medical indicators) mole that had me concerned and told me it was not a problem and was already walking out the door. Didn’t look at anything else, including another mole only a few inches from the suspicious one.

My first time to see Dr. Hickman I waited close to an hour to be taken to an exam room. The nurse gave me a gown to change in to and a blanket. I did like that the doctor wore goggle type glasses which I thought perhaps magnified what she was looking at. She checked my scalp and then the rest of my body. I’ve never been checked so quickly. I didn’t even have time to cover up. The gown and blanket were in a bundle on top of me. I really don’t know how she checked everywhere.

First time patient wanting some help with my sebaceous hyperplasia. Dr. Hickman basically brushed me off. No help at all. She referred me to another doctor for laser resurfacing. Did not even suggest there was something she could do to help. I felt like I just wasted my money and time. No cautery, no retinol, no in office treatment even suggested, just go see another doctor. I thought that is why I was there for her help. So disappointed in this place. Will never recommend this place.

Dr Hickman had extremely poor bedside manners. She immediately prescribed me with eczema without asking about products/medications I had used before and my medical history and left quickly. Was very inconsiderate and will NOT be going back.

Dr Hickman might be a good Dermo Dr. But her bedside manor is horrible. I don't know why anyone would pick her for treatment. It's as if I were invisible. When there was an issue with side-effects of my daughter's medicine, she referred me back to my primary care physician to 'handle that'. When she was finished talking, she simply walked out of the room. She didn't say thank you, she didn't say goodbye, nothing. Door closed. (as others said, the office staff is nice)

Removal of basal cell required 25 external stitches along my nose and lip. Dr. Donnelly's stitches were so tiny that there is almost no sign that anything was done. Highly recommend.

called and fitness an appointment 3 months out. Showed up and was told my appointment was at the other office. I would not have made one at the other office as it is not close to my work. The lady at the front desk argued with me as to whose fault it was. Finally saw Dr. Hickman.n and she was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Didn't check all the spots I wanted her to. Absolutely zero personality. I will never go back and will tell everyone I know to not see Dr Hickmann.

The office was clean, the registration staff when I first entered was welcoming. I waited roughly 10 minutes for my appointment (no big deal). Her MA was very nice and friendly. However, Dr. Hickman not so much. She was literally in the room for less then 5 minutes. Explained my issue. Was not asked to see anything. She said that she was going to give me 3 RX's, did not explain what kind or what it was for before she rushed out. I felt like a number not a patient. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
