Don't read any review posted before January 2022. I've been a patient of Dr. Hufnagel for years and I've recommended him to friends, but now I'm done. He did my Lasik a long time ago (great experience), so I went back when I had cataracts last year. Patient care has suffered as they've grown, and the outpatient operating center was chaotic. Stahl was sold to new owners recently and patients seem to be an afterthought. I spent 1 month before my post-op followup trying to get someone to answer my voice mails and emails about my insurance coverage. The day before my appointment, I finally got someone on the phone who told me they were "on par" with my insurance, but when I showed up for my appointment, I was told they couldn't find my "payer" in the "system" and my option was to pay out of pocket. I walked. I'm sure the sale was very profitable and I wish them luck with their new owners. I'll be contacting them soon to forward my records to my new doctor.

My deepest gratitude to Dr. Werner and Dr. Hufnagel. In January I had laser vision correction and cataract removal in my right eye at Stahl. I see better than I have since kindergarten. This was a seamless experience from start to finish and I could not be happier with the results.

She does my general check-ups. I would recommend her highly, she is knowledgeable with great bedside manners.

He is terrible. Bad attitude. Gave no information after 2 visits. Seemed irritated. Never called me back and neither did the office on three seperate occasions. Still waiting for test results after 5 weeks. I keep calling but no one calles me back.

NO , he was RUDE , unprofessional and could care less about my concerns , rushed me through , did some tests ( done by others ) and said eyes are good , good luck and went back to his personal business. I will never allow him to examine me again.

I Dr. Werner for Vison correction to have the PRK procedure done March 2019. Over the span of one year my eyes after surgery were 20/20 then slowly gotten worse to the point I can not drive at night. Every appointment is less than 10 minutes in an assembly line rooms. His lack of respect for me as a patient and how much of this has impacted my life. If I can not drive my children at night because I can not see distance is serious. I repeated this at every visit. To be told to get my old eye glasses give his office the frames and they will give me glasses to see distance 20/20 in October 2019. Then to be told I need "touch up" I am the 2 to 3 % that was under corrected. At my one year appointment to get I can touch up one eye at a time. I said no I am nervous about more surgery and the risk. It did not work the first time so, for him then ask me who is the next president and give me hand sanitizer plus got up and walk out of the room. I will not recommend the office at all!

I had my Lasik eye procedure done in April of this year. It was a life changing opportunity. My vision is very clear, no headaches and no side effects. Dr. Hufnagel and his staff were very professional and they took good care of me. I highly recommend Stahl Eye care to all of my family and friends.

I had PRK surgery at Stahl last month, and Dr. Hufnagel was my surgeon. Before I decided to have the surgery at Stahl, I visited both Stahl and Weil Cornell Medical Center for free consultation. Though Weil Cornell Medical Center is of high prestige and very well-known, I selected Stahl for its atmosphere of professionalism, caring and warmth. I made the very right decision! Dr. Hufnagel is an excellent surgeon, and he did a superb job. I am very happy with my surgery!!!

I did lasik a year ago and couldn’t be happier. Dr. Werner was sweet and explained everything before he did anything to my eyes. Follow ups were a breeze. I was in and out pretty fast and the office staff is terrific too !!

I got my Lasik done in October 2000 and have had 20/20 vision in both eyes since (from 20/200 in each eye). I go back every year for a check-up, I've take my mom to see him for her cataracts and my now teen daughter is a patient as well (eyeglasses only, maybe soon contact lenses). Dr. Hufnagel is TOPS! I recommend Stahl Eye Center whenever I can. They have a very pleasant and professional office staff as well and helpful eyeglass staff.

Dr. Hufnagel and his staff are the consummate professionals and I am glad that I have entrusted my eye care to him. He is always thorough with the exam and taking care of my eyes!!

After several years and several different doctors, I finally found the doctor that was right for me. I was very nervous about lasik surgery since I had previously torn one of my retinas. Dr. Huffnagel was fantastic. Very soothing and patient and did a great job. I only wish I had found him sooner.

From the first time I saw Dr. Hufnagel, I knew I was speaking with an expert. I have an on going issue which is being treated. I have visited quite a few different docs, but he is my last. He's the best, and I owe him my vision.

I went for my first eye exam with Dr. Hufnagel and he never even introduced himself when he walked in the room. I started flinching while he was doing the exam so he got annoyed and rolled back in his chair, huffed/puffed and turned away until he tried again. I think if you are in a certain field, you should be understanding and patient. I went back for a follow-up and asked if I had what another Dr thought I had and he goes "well if you do, it's very minimal". I never went back after that.

I was getting massive migraines from wearing glasses & going slowly blind The va did not care. My insurance did not cover it I paid out of pocket It has been worth every single penny Dr Huffnagel was very understanding & his surgery has been outstanding
