Dr. Weingarten is friendly and thorough. I have had some serious issues recently and could not expect any other caregiver to be more professional.
As a new patient, found her to be a very knowledgeable, thorough and a good listener. Looking forward to her being my doctor for many yrs. To come.
Doctor is very nice, but staff is horrible. They have really poor phone skills. IT is really tough making an appointment you will always see a PA , they don't have appointments for your physician for 6 months. Their billing is horrible, they ask what insurance you have when you get there then when they make a mistake with what labs it goes to it is patient fault because it is the patient responsibility to notify dr and person taking the test and lab what insurance you have each time.
Dr is rarely available. You are seen by PA unless you want to wait extended periods to see Dr Lawton. Lack of communication between the 4 PA and the doctor. When you call office it has always resulted in confusion and conflicting information.
Horrible communication regarding issues. Recommend going some place else.
Weingarten will not own responsibility for her patients' health outside of basic parameters. One abnormal lab result, you're off to a specialist - for the rest of your life. Need an 'off-label' med - a safe, reliable decades-old one? Off to another specialist. Her knowledge of recent research is lousy. My health is excellent, yet I now see 4 specialists a year while Weingarten checks my bp & runs labs twice a year. The medical indu$trial complex in this country owes a lot to docs like this one.
I am a regular patient of Dr Weingarten and have come to know her as an excellent, caring physician. She always has the time to explain medical conditions to me and is available by phone or email to answer questions. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a thorough, insightful doctor.
