Dr. Demers did surgery on my spine to relieve back and leg pain in both legs. Woke up after surgery with all pain gone. He is a friendly people person. This was the 3rd back surgery I had over the span of my life and glad to say they were are successful. Should I encounter problems with my back in the future I will not have to search out a good neurosurgeon.

I visited Demers for the first time about 1.5 years ago with low back pain. He was very dismissive and said it will probably go away and sent me off to physical therapy. Now, 1.5 years later I still have the back pain (have seen multiple people) and decided to see Demers again. He was dismissive again and told me "it's something you'll just have to live with" and continued to be arrogant and talked down to me. I would not recommend seeing him. Jen was great, she was compassionate and actually cared about my pain. Demers was not. Do not see him.

Dr Demers did my surgery. He was so nice, so attentive, so caring. His nurse practitioners are brilliant and nice as well. The office calls me back within a few hours, not a couple days. The wait times are expected. They have in-house imaging which is convenient for anything concerning.

Absolutely love Ashlie! She took the time to listen to my lengthy list of issues and outlined a plan. She explained everything that needed to be done and answered all my questions. Helped me navigate additional testing that needed to be done and followed up to see how everything went.

Before submitting to surgery, find out if there are other options such as "wait and see if it gets better on its own" Get a second opinion as some surgeons are quicker to "cut" than are others. Ask your family doctor for an opinion.

Ashlie listens to what is going on with the patient, and acts accordingly. She comes up with better alternatives than just prescribing more narcotics. We have worked together for 4 or 5 years to relieve the pain I have lived with for every long time. My job is physically demanding, and she has brought my pain level from a 7 down to a 3 most days.

I had the procedure Monday 2/24. It is the 4th day and 3rd night, I have had at lest 6 1/2 hours sleep 3 days in a row, for the first time in a year. The pain in my thighs have been reduced about 80%+, There is some residual pain in my left leg (the bad one) but I expected that due to condition. It is a little better and I an glad of that. I will follow the information I was given. Taking it easy the first 5 days, monitor progress for 15 days after that and then see if I can make it to the 3 month mark (and hopefully 6 months). The procedure went well, very professional and I was provided with more knowledge during the procedure then my operation. All were very professional. The 1st pain doctor I went to should emulate your level of care.

I see Ashlie for chronic pain management. There have been some complicating factors crop up recently that she was able to help me with and give recommendations I could take to my primary care physician, who agreed completely. I am always happy to see Ashlie, as I know I can trust her training, judgment, and great 'bedside' manner.
