This Doctor has zero respect for the family of his patients. He is short and rude with his answers to questions. He either doesnt understand or care that not everyone is up to par on medical terms, or that being in the beginning stages of fighting an incurable disease is heartbreaking not only for his patients, but also the patients family members.
I was apprehensive after doing another search for a neurologist after my last one failed me as his patient. Dr. Abou Zeid was very patient and listened to everything I had to say. When it was all said and done, I was misdiagnosed by my previous physician. While it was a huge weight off of my shoulders to know that what I had was treatable and manageable and not something much more than I had originally been told.
This was the absolute worst Doctor visit I've experienced in years. I accompanied my son for a consult. After the physician assistant asked a few questions, Dr. Chin came in for a short visit. Dr. Chin did not ask my son a single question, lay his hands on his body for any type of examination or acknowledge my existence in the room. I work in healthcare and was disappointed with the lack of respect we were shown.
Dr. C was very pleasant and extremely sensitive to my situation she volunteered information and even conducted an exam which was not solicited. In all my years, of medical specialists and doctors I have never been treated with such kindness and understanding. She is a real credit to the medical profession!!
DR. Hansen operated on me in 2003. I had Renal Stenosis -right kidney. I had 4 bypasses done on my kidney. It was a 7 1/2 hour surgical procedure. Everything went great . Between him and all the interns coming around all the time I really felt like a Queen. I have never been looked after in a hospital before as I was at Baptist Hosp. Dr. Hansen is the kindest doctor I have ever known. It was a big surgery but I trust him with my life. He's Great!
I assume he would be a wonderful doctor, if I ever saw him. Child has had three appointments; first two met with a resident, with Dr Hough popping in to say hi for a quick second at the end of the appointment. Third time, met with resident, then a female doc popped in to say Dr Hough wasn't available. Saw him walking down the hall as we were leaving. Also, the resident wanted us to schedule an appointment asap because they started my daughter on meds. First available appt not avail for 8 weeks.
He is very helpful and informative. He always takes time to explain.
Dr.Hurd has treated me for 5yrs and has always taken wonderful care of anything that has arose with my health!I think that he is the most caring Dr. that I have been treated by.
Dr. Howerton listens and responds to your concerns. He always has a plan for your care and is very compassionate. I really trust his judgement.
He is the most amazing doctor I've ever seen. The only one who looked at me holistically and accurately diagnosed my condition. If you can see him, do it.
excellent doctor! She seems very caring. She answered all my questions. She is very courteousness and I am happy I chose her for my cancer operation
Dr. Bullers is an excellent doctor and very knowledgeable.
My visit went very well. All my stats were good. She was a very good doctor.
Dr Bohl is best doctor I ever visited. She is very good doctor, surgeon and very caring towards her patients.
She did my surgery on 09/19/2016, went successful and she is taking care of my recovery very well.
Does not read medical records before seeing patient. Is unfamiliar with adrenal failure and treatment. Argues with patient regarding symptoms reported to her. Challenges patient regarding symptoms reported to her. Does not consider the entire symptom picture of the patient. Appears to only have patient contact because her job as an educator and researcher requires it.
Dr. Briggs is absolutely fantastic! She is so sweet and personable and really took the time to LISTEN to the problems we have been having with our child's health issues. And on top of that, she was absolutely AMAZING with our son. He is very young and scares easily around strangers and she maneuvered around that and gained his trust before trying to force an examination on him. We couldn't be more pleased and can't speak highly enough. She is also very knowledgeable in her field. Very impressed!
My daughter has had four surgeries to correct a colon problem. First one was exploratory. Next one was to correct the problem. Third one was to correct her is take in sewing up my colon. Fourth was to reverse illiostomy which eventually became abcessed after seeing her 4 days earlier when she told her everything looked
great and her complaint were normal.she looked at the wound but didn't touch it. It now 5:00 am on saturday and I can't reach her.
Dr. Cannon was very professional and thorough, answering all of my questions. I feel Dr. Cannon and her team took very good care of me.
She took the time to listen to our concerns when others wouldn't.
We are blessed to have found Dr. Drury Brown. She is professional and knowledgeable. She took extra time to listen to our concerns at a scary time for our family.
We have had a horrible experience with Dr. Brown. She is new to Providence and took over my daughter as a patient when the old Dr. left the practice. The previous DR. had signed my daughter up for the make a wish program due to her type 1 diabettes diagnosis, and had informed her that she was signing the papers, and that my daughter would get her wish.....Then along comes Dr. Marcy Brown. She refuses to sign the papers confirming the previous doctors wishes, and crushes my little girls hopes.
Dr. Fleischer took one look at the rash all over my hands and "You have asthma, don't you? He didn't accuse me of forgetting that I had changed brands of hand cream or dish soap. He answered my question, "Yes, but how did you know that?" He is as respectful of my dignity as of his own, never fails to listen, and even when it's hard, he finds an answer. I think of him as "Dr. Wizard." I'm sad to hear he's moving. The Triad will be poorer without him and richer because he was here.
While considering surgical procedures & day of surgery staff was inviting/engaging. Follow-up appt for addt'l short procedure- horrible. RN was rude- mentioned another pt needing the room I was in, that she was not sure they had the items needed for follow up procedure (scheduled a month in advance) & quickly exited me to another room to prep another pt for a surgery. Where did all the niceness & customer service go on follow-up? Out the window if not having $$ surgery. Will not go back!
I saw Dr. Farooq for an initial consultation regarding kidney transplant. He forcefully stated that he would not WASTE the resources of WFU Medical Center by evaluating me for transplant.
In my opinion, this man should not be seeing patients. Medicine requires compassion as well as intellect. Evidently he has been educated to the point where he has lost humanity.
Dr. Fernandez is the best. From the first consultation with a bariatric sleeve surgery and a gallbladder extraction surgery. He has a wonderful bedside manner. He listens to your concerns and we never felt rushed. I would highly recommend Dr. Fernandez for your surgery needs.
Outstanding doctor who really listens and explains the situation. Down to earth and doesn't feed you with any pill of the day. I trust him and he is the best doctor I have ever had.
Dr. Lata is a consummate professional. He made sure I understood the diagnosis, recommended procedure, and prognosis for the cancer that was discovered in my lung. He took a measured, methodical approach to diagnosing and treating the cancer. I am 100% pleased with the results and my ongoing experience with Dr. Lata.
Understand that Dr. Lata practices surgery most days and if you have an afternoon appointment he may not show if he is delayed in the OR. He will call you if he misses the appt.
Dr Oliver is SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!!!! Extremely happy that I was referred to him .
Dr. Miller is always very professional. He knows his job well. He works hard to find a solution to a matter when there are issues and puts his patients first. He is very respectful of people's time and puts positive energy towards his work. He takes his time to ensure his patients are comfortable with the plan of care he provides. Excellent provider and I will always be thankful for his professionalism. Thank you Dr. Miller
This doctor treated our son for an usual hole in his throat. Dr Mims had an idea for a different procedure than the norm. He consulted with his colleagues and tried his idea. It worked, preventing our son from being mute. He was always engaged with our son and us, always responsive and available. I cannot give high enough praises to Dr Mims and his abilities.
Dr. Mindel is as kind and caring as they come! He is also very knowledgeable, stays on top of the latest med news, and genuinely cares about his patients! An all around A+ from this satisfied patient!
If you need an excellent doctor ,this is Dr.Drew Plonk.
Do not hesitate to be his patient .Remarkable professional.
I thank him every day because now I can Breathe.
Dr. Purzycki is the best!! I would recommend him to any of my family or friends. He cares about his patients and his results are amazing!
My time with Dr. Purzycki was excellent. He repaired my leg wound with plastic surgery and I had an excellent result. He was always warm, genuinely caring and extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him to anyone for plastic surgery. It is a joy to have a physician who is so competent and takes the time to relate to you and your problem!
He came highly recommended to me for cancer surgery. Easy to talk to, and I had no problem understanding his explanations. Answered all my questions in a way I could understand and was very forthright - no beating around the bush.
Dr. Waltonen was the surgeon to treat my tongue cancer with surgery 1 year ago (January, 2016) and he was extremely clear in his explanations and took time to explain the procedure and the ramifications. He has followed up with me since then and following radiation. I recommend him and Wake Forest even though I live a few hours away. In fact I encouraged my neighbor to go there for her cancer and she did (another doctor, but same Cancer center).
Very nice doctor. Has no problem making referrals and seems genuinely interested in your care.
Gretchen Wells MD. has helped me recover from a heart attack in 1996 when she took my case over from Thomas Wannenberg MD., she is very competent in her field I would recommend her highly to anyone with cardiac issues.
sincerely, Danehy A. Carson 01/13/16
Great surgeon who is compassionate and takes time to listen to his patients. Has gone above and beyond to help my mother through her surgery and after. Wish all doctors were more like him! Highly recommend!
Offered no suggestions for my hip pain. Part of what he told me was correct.
I have tkr was done some where else. I've been in pain every since. Doctor Shields is the first doctor to really listen to me. He has tried everything over two years now to try to help me. Nothing has worked. We are now planning to replace the knee. No doctor wants to fix something that another doctor did. But he is.. He is saving my life to try. I have become so depressed with the pain. This may not work and I'm aware but I'm so grateful that he listened and believed that I am in pain
I've worked with Dr Stratta for three years, and he is a rare combination of profound knowledge, extensive experience, highest integrity, and personal kindness. I completely trust his judgement and know that I and my health are in the best of hands.
Dr Terlecki is amazing. He graciously worked me into his schedule after a scheduler total messed up my appointment. Dr Terlecki is easy to converse and discuss the situation. The best reason that I love Dr Terlecki is that he gives you ALL the options from most effective to least. It is like getting a second opinion without having to pay for it.
Knowledgeable, professional and caring, Dr Stratta is the best transplant doctor I ever worked with.
I would recommend Dr Sullivan. He is an excellent doctor who takes the time to explain everything and answer all your questions. He saved my life with thyroid cancer. He is very caring and compassionate.
Not good at all. My dad had him for surgery because of cancer on his tongue. He acted like it wasn't a major surgery and didn't explain to his family what all could happen. He was in the hospital for almost 2 weeks and then they sent him home with a feeding tube and trach. A few months later, cancer came back and we wanted another opinion with a cancer Dr. that was recommended. Called his office as they needed a referral. Called several days later and he still hadn't called. Still hasn't!
