Minimal wait time this visit. Doctors were very personable and friendly. Will return for future treatment. Left with a smile on my face!
I would recommend Dr. Smith to family and friends. He is very professional and takes time explaining issues with you.
Dr. Smith takes the time to listen and then to make appropriate recommendations based on your goals. I have been seeing him for knee and shoulder issues for the past year and a half, and I have never been disappointed in his knowledge, skills, or abilities.
Dr. Suprock was born to the doctor he is. He is the best in terms of skills and connecting with humans. I always feel safe and confident with him. There is no better doctor anywhere that Dr. Suprock.
Only met him one time ask me again after my surgery
Excellent care. Answered all my questions and let me decide treatment.
Dr Smith was always clear with his, explanations. He was very professional, yet caring, at all times.
Dr. Norcross took time to explain things and offer options. The visit moved efficiently.
I have the highest regard for Dr. Scott Smith. His assessment of my hip problems and recommending surgery was right on target. His skilled experience has given me back my life. His quiet manner and confidence erases all anxiety with appointments and surgery. I have recommended Dr. Scott to others and have heard the same from them. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be his patient.
Very nice and gentle. Seemed genuinely concerned for you, the patient.
I have been seeing Dr. Smith for several years as the arthritis in my knee worsened. He started with the least invasive procedure, and as it worsened proceeded to arthroscopic removal of the meniscus and later total knee replacement. Throughout this period, Dr. Smith was very informative concerning the options and likely outcomes. When I had total knee replacement 4 weeks ago, the procedure went better than expected due primarily to Dr. Smith keeping me informed and to his skills as a surgeon
I enjoyed the time spent with Dr. McGinnis. Even though he was from what I could tell he was very busy. He made me feel valued, and set me up with a solid and professional medical game plan for my current issue with my carpal tunnel. I have all the confidence in his abilities as a medical professional.
Dr. Suprock is an unbelievable doctor. I had never had surgery before and he made me feel comfortable and not worry so much. He did a total hip replacement and explained exactly what was going to happen and the recovery time. I was operated on in the morning and home by late afternoon. I was walking hours after surgery and without a walker after 2 weeks. It's been 6 weeks and i feel fantastic. I can't say enough good things about him. I would recommend him to any and everyone i know.
Very little wait time. Dr. Smith is friendly and accommodating and explained the condition and recommended treatment options. Everything was handled efficient and professionally.
I tore my ACL and partial meniscus right before leaving to play college soccer. Dr. Smith was recommended to me by close friends. I had surgery within a week of meeting him. He was professional, straightforward and thorough in his procedure and was conscientious of the demands I would undergo as a college athlete when we chose the type of reconstruction. Although I am undergoing rehab on campus, I see Dr. Smith monthly and my progress and recovery are right on track if not ahead of schedule.
Dr. Suprock did a full knee replacement on both of my knees. He is very caring and attentive, leading up to the surgeries, during the recovery, and throughout the follow-up appointments.
had knee replacement in march 2017 by dr. Norcross. he is tops in his field. had no problems , no infections, minimal pain. he is going to do my other knee replacement later on this year.wouldn't think of another doctor doing this for me.went to Frye hospital in hickory for the replacement, was amazed at the hospital level of care, clean throughout. patient oriented.its different from the rest around here, you fill cared for, down home feel.
My father in law had a surgery procedure done on February 8,2017 he was doing well and on February 12,2017 his hip begin to swell and he had severe pain .We tried for over 6 hrs on February 13,2017 to get someone in this office to call us or talk to us about our fathers pain and symptoms and no one had time for us .At 6 pm in the evening a P.A.called and told us to give him pain meds and lay Him flat it normal from the surgery..rushed us off the phone.OUR FATHER PASSED AWAY FEBRUARY 14,2017.
Kindest, most down to earth doc I've ever seen in my 63 years. He is a gem!
Outstanding experience. Expected worse and the results were all the pain is gone and have been able to be more active and do daily tasks better. I would recommend Dr. Suprock to anyone having hip replacement without hesitation.
Dr. Norcross, did my husbands knee surgery (both knees) he is caring, knows what he is doing explain what he is going to do and my husband feels real good about his surgery and at 74, still working hard in the garden, Dr. Norcross, is an excellent doctor.
Dr Suprock did a total hip replacement for me in December. He made me feel comfortable, and assured me that I would be back to my activities in no time. I am playing golf 3 times a week and walk 4-5 miles everyother day, which I haven't been able to do in years. I am pain free and have full range of motion. My life is complete due to his tremendous care and dedication. He has an excellent staff working with him, to see you through any injury, or surgery needed.
A great doctor and individual.
I went from being terrified of surgery to feeling totally safe and secure under Dr. Suprock's care. He made me feel like I was family, and I was devastated when I learned that my insurance was going to force me to go elsewhere for my 2nd knee replacement. I have nothing but respect, affection and high praise for Dr. Suprock and his staff. All high marks! I will miss seeing him.
I saw Dr Vesano at Ballentine office Jan 18th , he was so informative. I feel very comfortable with my care at Ortho Carolina . He was compassionate to my needs and made my visit very good ! THANKS DR VESANO !
I am so glad that my internist referred me to Dr. Krenzel. I had been treated for 3 years by another Orthopedic group, had MRIs, Xrays & endured spinal injections for my back....turns out it was NOT my back but my hip causing the pain. Hip was replaced by Dr. Krenzel after tests confirmed it was not my back but my right hip. Dr. Krenzel's knowledge, expertise, genuine concern for patients & personality all contribute to making him the only Orthopedic surgeon/physician I would recommend.
For the time that I had the pleasure to be with Dr. Burbank has been well attended. The professionalism, respect and courteous attention it's evident of the right and correct way to meet the patient needs. Very pleased with the service level and surgeon skills.
Dr. Geideman is both professional and personable. He made me feel comfortable and explained things to me using patience and expertise. I highly recommend him!
I highly recommend Dr. Casey and OrthoCarolina, Matthews. My son broke his arm, and we were able to bring directly to their after hours urgent care for immediate evaluation and treatment with very little wait time. After the weekend, we saw Dr. Casey who effortlessly diagnosed the problem and explained the specifics to me. The nursing and administrative staff were attentive and expedient. The entire process was very low stress. I and my family are extremely relieved and thankful!
We took our 12 year old son to Dr Casey after he injured his knee playing football. She was very nice and thorough. I will definitely go back to her if our son has any future orthopedic injuries.
It took about 10 seconds for Dr. Geideman to figure out what my problem was. He was thorough, on schedule, and did an excellent job of explaining my diagnosis to me and offering advice on the next steps to take to make my condition easier to live with.
We really liked Dr Johnson. He was very knowlegable and we'll informed. He gave answers to problem that we liked. A really great doctor.
This was my first appointment with Dr. Gantt. A very pleasant, concerned doctor who paid attention to details. She knew exactly what was wrong, and explained that there is a minor surgery to fix it should I need. Will definitely return, and make recommendation to others.
Dr. Knapp is a awesome surgeon. He has got my back feeling better than it has ever felt. I recommend anybody that has back problems to come see Dr. Knapp because he could fix them for them. He get an A++++++++++++ from me.
From the start Dr Delay spent a good deal of time explaining the extent of my rotator cuff injury. Over the last few months he's been encouraging and has given me great information to help in my long term recovery.o
Hint...because Dr Delay is so thorough with his patients he may get behind from time to time. Best to schedule appointments first thing in the morning.
I presented to Kings Mtn Hospital on July 31, 2017 with an ankle fracture. Dr Hayes was made aware of my xrays, I was instructed to call his office next morning. They scheduled me for same day. Dr Hayes was very thorough in explaining my options, which included surgery to repair a Trimalleolar Fracture. We agreed that would be the best option, so he scheduled me for surgery in two days. My waits have not been excessive on my follow up visits and he has done a wonderful job. Highly recommended.
Dr. Casey is the best! Excellent surgeon and very friendly. She answered all my son's questions thoroughly. I have complete confidence in her.
It was a pleasure meeting Dr Gantt. She explained that her philosophy was to start with the least invasive treatment working toward others as needed. When she asked me if I was taking turmeric for inflammation I knew I had the right doctor. She showed me my x rays and explained them so that I could understand. Then she told me my options. I felt very comfortable with her and look forward to working with her to keep my hands functioning for as long as I need them. Thank you.
Very professional. Not a conversationist but that's ok. He's a surgeon not a family practice doctor. Came in, ask questions pertaining to my condition then review my MRI. Came back it and told me what was the issue was and how he was going to correct it. 2nd visit, which was pre-op. I had some questions and he answered them. What else did I need. His staff did all the chit chatting for him. He was focused. I liked that.
I was very pleased with my interaction. I came in with shoulder issues and we discussed a more serious issue I was unaware of. Thanks for taking notice and adddressing my neck and nerve/muscle issue.
My experience over the last 3 years has been very well with Dr. Hurley and his staff. I definetly will have him on my Christmas card list this year! I believe others may take his professional personality a bit wrong. He comes in states it like it is and tells the truth. So I would much prefer a doctor that is straight with me rather than the fluff to make my feelings feel good. Well experienced and I trust him greatly! Went above and beyond to give me extra suggestions in which I appreciate mu
Very knowledgeable and I have heard that he is a good surgeon. That's why I have trusted him to do my surgery.
I injured my knee in August and I twice scheduled an appointment only to have the nurse pop her head out of the back office to say Dr. Delay is running 30 to 45 minutes late. On the day of my second scheduled appointment I called Dr. Delay's office 45 minutes before my arrival and the nurse said he was on time. Both appointments were afternoon appointments. I cannot comment on the Dr. since I never saw him. The office staff was helpful but indifferent about running late.
Very personable and knowledgeable!
Genuinely cares about his patients and health
Dr. Krenzel is easy to talk to you and gets the job done. Very knowledgeable. Gets to the point.
For a tough operation, Dr.Griffin and his staff made it very "doable!"
I cannot give enough praises !!!
A superb and caring physician!!
Thx so much!!!!
I saw Dr.Knapp yesterday and was very pleased. Another ortho doc, told me my pain wasn't in my knee, it was in my back....so I saw Dr.Knapp, and he confirmed my thought, that it wasn't my back, it was my knee...was very attentive, and hit the nail on the head....
I would highly recommend him....
I just finished my one year post op exam with Dr. Burbank following my knee replacement & am very pleased with the outcome. Dr. Burbank is a caing and skilled surgeon with excellent people skills. Everything was explained to me to my complete satisfaction & he always took time to answer my questions. Everyone at Ortho Carolina was great...the office staff, therapists and PA Tony Conant.
I like Dr Hayes because listen to your problem complete test and give you options on your results. He never pressured you into doing what he thinks is best for your treatment. I would recommend him to anyone.
Thank you Dr. Casey
I am new to Rock Hill, SC and had to find a surgeon to redo a failed rotator cuff surgery. I started to ask around and Dr. Burbank's name came up on three occasions. My previous surgeon from Orlando also recommended using the Ortho Carolina Group. I did my own research online and decided to go see him. I am really impressed by his knowledge and incredible bedside manner as I also am in the medical field and have very high standards. I am scheduled for surgery and at ease.
His demeanor was not warm and friendly. If you are an active athlete, you are welcomed. If you are overweight or old, he won't make eye contact.
Saw Dr. Johnson the first time for FS. He was kind, patient & explained everything very clearly. Received an injection, did his PT protocol, total recovery. Came back 6 mos later, w/what he stated was FS in opp shoulder yet no MRI to verify . He was rude, impatient & condescending. Placed needle for inj in wrong area, dug around in joint instead of reinserting causing horrible pain, refused to prescribe Lidocaine patch for pain . Left in tears. He acted as if I was a bother to him.
I have seen Dr. Knapp several times over the years and have always been treated well by his staff and him. I have always left his office feeling secure about his ability to fix my spinal issues!
Dr. Knapp has a great personality and would highly recommend him as an orthopedic surgeon.
Very personable and knowledgeable.
He is kind, listens extremely attentively and is straight forward in his responses and instructions. For me, he is the best possible doctor!
Excellent physician that took time to make sure I completely understood my condition and that I was satisfied with the proposed corrective action. I will contact him in the future with any Orthopedic needs.
Over the last two years Dr. Krenzel has replaced both my knees. He did an excellent job and I am feeling great. He has a super personality and is dedicated to being the best he can be. I recommend him and Ortho Hickory.
This was my first visit to OrthoCarolina. I was a little apprehensive being I did not know much about them.
I must say I have a very good experience and would recommend others to Ortho Carolina
Dr.Gilchrist takes care in managing your pain.
Dr. Gilchrist went into detail to explain my diagnosis and treatment. I like the fact that he was not one of the "fast talkers" that just hurry you out.
I've had many spine surgeries before moving to the Hickory area. Dr Knapp wasn't quick to recommend another surgery without first trying all other options.
As far as his personality, he ranks up there with some of the best I've seen. People in this field of medicine aren't known for glowing personality. Which is fine by me. If I want someone to talk to ill call a friend.
My experience was very positive and everyone was professional, polite and knowledgeable. I did not have a long wait to see the PA. He was very efficient and explained everything and I will recommend Dr. Krenzel's office to others.
Dr. Gantt performed trigger thumb surgery on me 2 years ago. It went exactly as she described beforehand. She did an excellent job. Dr. Gantt has a straightforward and pleasant personality. My thumb healed very nicely. If you have the surgery, you must absolutely go through the physical therapy afterwards! I did everything Dr. Gantt recommended. Great doctor!
He has met all my expectations, is always most concerned with my questions, my comfort level. After a difficult hallux revision I'm about to have my third surgery and I trust him completely.
Dr Griffin replaced my right knee and 3 months later he replaced my left knee. He is compassionate, caring, and is THE man to see for knee replacements. The staff at his office is amazingly competent.
Dr. Peter Hurley was the most unprofessional doctor I have ever encountered. He was rude, arrogant and could not have cared less about my condition or why I was there to see him. I was recommended to OrthoCarolina with my worker's comp case, and could not have been more disappointed with the 'results', if you can even call them that. I have never left a professional doctor's office feeling so offended. He then left the room and never returned. A nurse had to come get me. Worst experience ever.
Great physician, especially with sports related injuries. Diagnosed my collarbone injury right away.
Dr. Johnson has a nice sense of humor that always puts me at ease about my sports-related injuries. We connected through basketball, and it was good to have a physician that was not only very knowledgable but I could also connect with quite well. He definitely knows his stuff and his staff is very friendly as well.
Dr. Johnson always wants me to have the best care possible. I can tell that he really cares about me and my health. He is professional and very knowledgable.
Dr. Johnson was very knowledgeable and took care of my problem and I'm feeling great. I would highly recommend him to friends and family.
I was 65 years old when Dr. Griffin replaced my right hip. Every thing about my experience with Dr. Griffin and the staff went extremely well. If they would have allowed it, I could have walked out of the hospital. I used a cane for two days after I got home, but I never felt like I needed it. I rehabbed at home, on my on, and was back playing basketball and softball in less than six months. It has now been almost seven years since the hip was replaced, and it still has given me no problems
Amazing care and concern for us. He was attentive and listened well to our problems. He explained the details of our problem well and explained the medical conditions very well. He is friendly and knowledgable. He answered all our questions.
Doctor Johnson is wonderful. I am a very active person, but have a few miles on me and get injured not too infrequently. Dr. Johnson is always able to fix me up and get me back to the sports I enjoy. He is the team Physician for the Lenoir Rhyne University athletic teams and is the most respected sports medicine doctor in town. I refer all my friends to him. Dr. Johnson you rock!!!
Dr. Johnson is excellent. My mother had a bad hip fracture and required surgery. He did a great job and explained the entire recovery process. He was very kind and gentle with her. He even came into the hospital of his day off to check on her. Such a nice and compassionate doctor.
Dr. Delay has provided me with excellent surgical care. I hope I don't break anything else, but if I do, I'll seek Dr. Delay.
Dr. Cox seemed nice before he performed surgery on my 87 yr old mother. I asked for an order for my mother to have a rollator to help her navigate the long halls of her assisted living residence. She was getting over back surgery when she fell and broke her arm. (Surgery again). Dr. Cox refused to order a walker or a wheelchair. What is wrong with an MD that refuses that? Would never recommend him. NO compassion!
Dr. Hurley was very knowledgeable when it came to my surgery. He had explained what all I done to my knee and what his plans were to fix my during surgery. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Follow up visits and my recovery went great. If I were to need surgery on my knee again this would be the first man I'd come to.
Dr. Griffin barely made eye contact. He was impatient & dismissive. My particular hip condition didn't match w/ his expectations for "usual patient" & rather than brainstorm options he simply wanted to shoo me out of his office w/ some trite advice about what kinds of exercise to avoid. I am in constant pain & he dismissed my experience by simply saying "your case sounds highly unusual." & then had the gall to act like I was there just to ask for narcotics which I had no interest in! Arrogance!!
This has to be the worst physician I have ever visited. His bedside manner is terrible, no eye contact, rude, arrogant, zero compassion. I left in tears not once but twice because of the way he treated me. I'm so sorry I wasted my time and my money. There are plenty of other decent and kind orthopedic surgeons who really want to help you.
So rude and condescending. He was yelling at all the staff and nurses while I was in my room waiting for him to come see me. Didn't spend any time with me, and the few words he did say weren't nice or helpful. Didn't ask if I had any questions either. I would not return to see this person. He's definitely not a "caregiver."
I am having problems with my left knee. Dr Griffin is rated very high so I made an appointment with him. Dr. Griffin did not physically examine my knee. He looked at the x-ray and he told me I have arthritis in my knee. He also told me that the brace I was using would not help my knee. I tried to go without the brace but I am having some sharp pains in that knee without it. I am disappointed in my care by Dr. Griffin.
I have had 2 back surgerys last one by Knapp and yes I left out Dr for a reason he told me I need to change jobs so I did then 6 months later same issue with my back I went back to him WHY I hell I did I don't know why but he tells me insurance will probably not pay for MRI so I go to Dr bias my regular Dr next door he ordered me an MRI so in I'm mean time I had laser spine institute look at my MRI they say disc was on nerve worse then my first MRI injury I went back to Knapp he saidno avoid
Dr.Delay is a great orthopedic he has done 6 surgeries on me and I would recommend him to anybody
Interesting visit. I have seen the large majority of doctors there through the years but never him. The nurse and his PA did the heavy lifting, then Dr. Hurley swooped in, large and in charge, shouted at us, and left as quickly as he came. I don't think he will be on our Christmas card list. Yikes. Maybe that's what team trainers are like, but I prefer a more thoughtful approach.
My surgery was 33 yrs ago...just moved to Charlotte...didn't know any Drs? Terrible ankle problem....I chose Dr Baker out of the blue. Had to have surgery on the ankle after DR Baker tried everything...simply put Dr Baker is a CREDIT to his profession and a FINE HUMAN BEING. This man attendrd my wedding 7 mos later!!!!OUTSTANDING MAN nd DR..... David M. Hinson
Arrogant, impatient, and completely uncompassionate regarding my injury and the issues that came with it with regard to maintaining my quality of life. Avoid if at all possible.
took my 88 year old Mother for a broken shoulder. Dr. Johnson was very rude and hateful to her. Wish I had read reviews. I certainly hope he lives to be a very old man and is treated with the same degree of disrespect and rudeness he displayed.
The only good point was his nurse was very nice and helpful. I am sorry that she has to deal with someone like him daily.
This guy is an errogant jerk!
He constantly felt the need to tell me, "you just need to be a parent"
He's a jerk and I strongly suggest NO ONE come to see him. Unless you like being treated like you're ignorant trash that is beneath him, please do NOT see him. Want to feel like a human? Go see someone else!
this is the rudest, most obnoxious Dr, I have ever seen in my life, he is obviously over burdened & is having trouble handling the work load, his exasperated mood towards a patient was obscene, when a person goes to a dr for help & is screamed at by a "care provider", there is a huge problem not only with the dr but with the place that would hire such an outrageous person to "care" for people, & there is an obvious problem with this entire office. my advise is to stay far away from Boudreau.
Dr. Knapp has zero personal skills. I have seen him before and seen hints of this, but today he was an hour late, he spent less than 5 minutes with me, informing me I need surgery, but getting irritated with me when i tried to make notes about the surgery. I don't care how many degrees this guy has, he is too full of himself, and does not care about patient care. Find someone else, there are plenty of good doctors out there!
I began experiencing debilitating right wrist pain about 6-7 months ago. Dr. Gantt came highly recommended from a friend and so I made an appointment. She was right to the point, very thorough, and came up with a treatment plan right away. Turns out the fix for the problem was more involved than either of us hoped and I had to undergo two separate surgeries. However, I am now back to 100%, able to do all the things that the pain was stopping me from doing, and very pleased.
Dr Knapp reviewed my medical records. He waisted no Timefixing my problem.
Dr. Griffin has replaced both of my knees and I'm very pleased. I highly recommend him to anyone anticipating the same.
I felt that he was not interested in hearing anything that I had to say to him or even in seeing me as a patient, and I felt that he relied too much on the PA's exam & explanation. I was extremely insulted by his tone/attitude toward me in the few brief minutes that he was in the room. He cut me off when I was trying to answer the few questions that he asked. He did make recommendations for treatment, but I left wondering how he could have had a real understanding of my issue.
Very thoughtful and kind. Took the time to explain and show me what was causing my pain. Put a plan in place to help me finally get some relief. Thanks be to God I was seen very quickly.
Callous, degrading attitude towards patients. Left my right hand permanently disabled after botched procedure. A very uncaring and unpleasant individual. When I politely asked him how he would be able to fix the damage he did to my hand he coldly told me to find another doctor.
He asked me what was wrong. When I started to tell him, even though I had proof of my spinal injuries, he cut me off and told me I just needed to lose weight. That that was all that was wrong with me. When I have had several doctors tell me I had degenerative disc disease due to a fractured spine several years earlier. He is a condescending jerk and I would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy
This guy is a complete jerk! I would not recommend him to anyone!!!
I went to Dr Gantt with a very unusual circumstance. I had a piece of metal lodged in my palm, from working on cars (it was in there 7 years and I never knew). She scheduled me for surgery within a few days to remove it. She informed me of the risks, and we got the piece out. Turns out it was starting to degrade and I was at a risk of serious infection, and it was in a dangerous place regarding nerves. The surgery was smooth, and all feeling has been restored. She saved my livelihood. Thank you.
I had ACL repair from Dr.Johnson and he insisted on cadaver repair. However, I am a 19 year old male who is active and plays sports. Normally an autograft results in stronger ACL, but longer recovery time. This doctor strongly insisted on cadaver repair so my family went with it. However, I soon found out that he now recommends autograft to other patients of the same age range, but for me insisted the exact opposite just because I told him I will likely be playing sports recreationally.
He does not want to talk about fibromyalgia to much. In oct. I got 1 shot he said for balance, strength is what I understood. In aug and sept. I had si joint nerve blocks, burns whatever. I was doing good.on my Dec. Visit I told him things had been going good.if I felt a little pain coming I rested it was gone...that was a big thing for me. I have fibromyalgia so my back hurts alot sometimes. On Dec.app.he felt back and said he wanted to get shots started. I didnt understand why but I had left.
I have been a patient of Dr. Bill for 21 years. He's conservative in his approach to surgery but very reasonable. I can say enough good about him is not only a great surgeon, but also a great guy! He is thee man! :-)
Dr Griffin was recommended to me by a friend who knew one of his nurses and knew my personality. I was born with a birth defect which was corrected by bone graphs when I was 2. I am now 46 and began having problems with that hip again. Dr Griffin was wonderful. He reviewed the X-rays, discussed my regular activities and monitored me for about 6 months at which point, even at my young age, he felt we should proceed with hip replacement due to the amount of pain I was in. He gave me a new life!
Horrible bedside manner, arrogant, and impatient with 92 year old patient. This young man had the nerve to say it was a waste of time for you to come here, which translates to you've wasted MY time. Not in a million years would our family recommend/suggest this person to anyone else as it would be a true insult to do so! What a shame!
