My daughter saw you in 7th grade at UNMH. You said: AMPS, gave us paperwork, drew a picture, and said that she needed to be active. I now know how much more is needed. I am writing to encourage you to refer AMPS patients to places like the RAPS clinic at Kansas City Children’s as soon as you diagnose. I bet Dr. Hoffart would help explain why their program helps and is better sooner. Traditional PT can make it worse. Just being active doesn’t help enough. My daughter continued to worsen over the next 5 years, home bound for 1.5 years. We found RAPS on a FB group. She turned 18 in RAPS. She learned how to treat allodynia, the reason PT didn’t work before, and more. She graduated from RAPS, did last semester of high school and went to college. She has to focus on function over pain always. Earlier treatment would maybe made it less severe. It definitely would have reduced mental anguish and given more normal childhood development.

Dr. K is what every doctor should be: caring, honest and heavily educated. I just moved to the area and had to transfer my daughter's care from Arizona. I wish Dr. K was her doctor since she was diagnosed with vasculitis. THANK YOU Dr. K!!!

Took the time to discuss our concerns about diagnosis and procedure. Never felt rushed. Great interaction with my teenage daughter (who is very guarded about who she trusts and likes). She took right up to Dr. Fish immediately.

Dr. Fish and his team did a wonderful job with my catheter ablation procedure. As of now, the issue seems to be fixed. I am confident that I can go through life free of SVT episodes thanks to their expertise. I had some major requests on how I wanted the procedure done, and the team was professional about listening to my requests and taking my inquiries seriously. Dr. Fish is an expert in the electrophysiology field, and there is no better person to trust your child with.

Dr. Fish has completed 2 cardiac ablations on my daughter. While her having SVT is scary, so was her first time under anesthesia. But Dr Fish was very understanding and professional with us and made sure that we were comfortably with all that was going on. He is a very intelligent and caring Dr. We are lucky to have him at Vanderbilt.

My daughter is very shy and loves him to bits! He is very patient, understanding, fun, and knowledgeable. I wouldn't take my daughter to anyone else. The office staff are friendly, courteous, and easy to get a hold of. No waiting on hold forever, no one treats you like a number.
