My experience with dr Alastra was good. I had a right side hip pain for years. And he gave me an injection that he recommended me to have done in the Staten Island hospital which gave me tremendous relief. Thank you Dr Alastra for making me some pain relief...
He's a great surgeon and has a good bedside manner. Very compassionate and concerned about his patients.

Very enjoyable experience and he has a nice bedside manner
Dr. Weiss is a darn piece of work. He needs to understand that we come to him for help for our kids, and the way he presents himself is unacceptable. He was courteous when we walked into his office, but the minute the appointment started and he began asking questions it all went downhill. He would ask a question about my son, and when I went to answer the question he wouldn't listen. I would try to explain why I was giving him that answer, but he was just interested in hearing a yes or no. Rude!
I understand it's difficult working in a facility that has a waiting room large enough to house a community, with babies crying, people coughing, and germs abound, so I'll take that into consideration as I write this review. It must be difficult WORKING THERE... In brief: Absolutely no connection, no help, infantilizing, minimal eye contact, unsympathetic. New med ins, so needed new doctor. She won't be it.
RETIERED, VERY UPSET,,GRET MAN ANDMISS HIM NEED A NEW DOCTOR
This Dr did my spinal fusion and after the day of surgery, he never came to see me ever! I've only dealt with PA's. PS the spinal fusion surgery failed and I am still in pain. So not recommend him at all.
Extremely insensitive and uncaring. She walked in the room, never introduced herself to the patient, and basically said So what are you here for? Patient is a 91 yr old woman, in extreme neck pain, referred by Dr Alastra in the practice, and we were all hoping for some help and compassion. Without asking any questions, examining patient, or reading the Xray, she mad the assumption that the pain was caused by a recent fall, and dismissed us by saying it will take time to heal
Dr Alastra saved our sons life. Our son had an AVM that caused an intracranial hemorrhage and needed to be operated on emergently. Dr Alastra did am amazing job with the surgery.
