Dr. Duncan M. Fagundus, MD provides and exceptional mixture of the BEST Physician Traits possible ---- RESOURCEFULNESS to find most effective treatment(s) as quickly as possible; INTELLIGENCE to ask Key Questions for Fast Diagnosis & Best Treatment of patient's illness; CONCERN to give Clear, Plain Descriptions of Illness, Medication & Treatments; CARE to Explain Medicine Choice(s), offer PATIENT CHOICE of Treatment when possible; HONESTY to admit that No Doctor Knows All Answers; PATIENCE to Listen To Patient's Comments; PROFESSIONALISM to realize Patients Will Usually Define Their Own Illness by such freely offered statements; HUMANITY to feel personal compassion for patient's conditions & limits. HUMILITY to act like man next door, not someone who deems themself superior to all patients because of longer education & apprenticeship than other professions. FRIENDLINESS to make patient feel at home and in the caring hands of a friend, not just another impersonal doctor.

He has been my GI dr since 2004. Always caring trustworthy and professional. He went above and beyond during my many hospital stays. All my procedures were handled with the utmost care. I have moved to FL and my first GI procedure was a nightmare. I will travel back to NC for my next one. Thank you Dr. D. You are dearly missed! Sherry H. Bunn

Dr. McMurray listens to my thoughts and questions and gives me latitude to experiment with alternative treatments (under his supervision, of course). He is very knowledgeable, and personable. He does not rush through my visits, and gives full attention to me during our discourses.

Dr. D.M. Fagunsus, MD is an excellent Rheumatologist in all regards. He is very concerned for this patients well being, highly knowledgeable in his specialty, explains things simply and thoroughly so patients can understand, gives patients the opportunity to participate in decisions about medication choices when starting or changing them, and is ready and willing to answer questions by patient. Not many physicians are strong in Concern, Knowledge, Common Sense & communication - Fagundus does!

Terrible man and dr. I entrusted him to be my GI doctor spanning 4 decades since 1987. I am a stage 4 liver cancer and liver transplant survivor thx to the Mayo Clinic. I developed colitis 6 months after transplant. Returned to Dellasega for treatment in 2012. 2 yrs of unsuccessful treatment, I asked for his help/advice applying for disability. He said my colitis wasn't bad enough, recommended a psychiatrist. My entire colon removed last year at UNC. I still have no income since 2014. He's rich

I would never refer ANYONE TO THIS DOCTOR!! He can’t find simple things that a child could have found in the reports. My mother’s lungs are on the verge of collapsing and thanks to a doctor in Duke, we were able to find this out. Dr. Varju did all the same tests and did nothing about it!!!

Dr Dellasega has been my gastro since my initial diagnosis with PBC (Primary Biliary Cirhosis-a rare autoimmune disease which affects the liver). Upon diagnosis he called me (at night after hours) to discuss the diagnosis with me. We were on the phone for over 30 minutes! He has been right beside me during this entire journey thus far and I treasure his commitment to his profession. He truly cares about his patients!!

We moved to North Carolina in summer of 2016. Our first visit was with Dr. McMurray. Not knowing what to expect we were pleasantly surprised. Dr. McMurray was very kind, listened well to all our problems then took action to solve them. Both myself and my husband would recommend Dr. McMurray to all our family and friends.
