I have a family member in the icu at Wayne memorial. It seem that they do not care-the doctors. The nurse are nice and they do their jobs correctly. They only give you 2 option. Either you pull the plug on your love one or put a trachea and feeding tube in their stomach; Then they ship your love one to assisted living. This seem to be the protocol that they tell the family. I try to request a transfer and they say we do the same thing that other hospitals would do. THIS IS A LIE. They never tell you the truth one doctor would say one and the next time another doctor would say something else. I wish I knew who to talk to. All they do is break your hope. I truly hate them and their doctors. Anybody who enter icu ended up with a code blue or in a vegetation state at a living facilities

I would not recommend Dr. Mayo for care during critical situations. He is very rude and does not have a sensitive bone in his body. My family member is in the ICU and we asked to speak with him, and he acted as if it was an issue. He was rude and did not grant our request for a transfer. Unfortunately our family member received poor treatment in the UNC Goldsboro hospital and was not transferred and may not make it. Dr. Mayo needs to work on his communication . I don't care how many years you have, If you are rude to your patients and family members that makes you not respectable. Dr. Mayo needs to work on listening and not yelling at the family members because understanding the grief process is a part of his job.

Shannon spends as much time as necessary with each patient. She doesn’t rush you out. Always asks about previous issues and if they’ve resolved or continue to be a problem. I truly enjoy a visit with Shannon.

Dr. Dove was the attending physician on a loved one at Wayne Memorial. To say that the medical care he provided was grossly inadequate is an understatement. He flat put lied to the family about needed cardiac care that could have and should have been referred to a cardiac center in Raleigh. He and his partner have no business running an ICU particularly for the poor and uneducated. It is a nightmare that should be investigated

I have been a patient of Dr. Poole's for 10 years now. He is not only a wonderful doctor, he is a very nice person. His nurse staff has always been kind to me. I see him several times a year for a chronic illness. I often brag about him being my doctor and have never met a person that did not like him. I have always been on time for my appointments, or I have rescheduled in advance, so I can't comment on that. I also want to be told if a doctor can't help me so I can move on.

Save your time money and health and just find another nerologist...immediately...seriously. What board certified doctor refuses care to a recent stroke patient after they've already waited over 60 days due to a mild / 2 minute tardiness...newsflash sometimes you dont move as fast after a stroke. Finding another doctor just might save your life. That's my plan. What a rude, disrespectful bunch of so called caregivers and administrative staff at Eastern Medical Associates. Disgusting customer svc.

I saw him for a chronic migraine problem. He tried steroids and then said he didn't know what to do for me and that I'd have to live with it. This was after he spent about 5 minutes scolding me about cancelling a previous appointment. It took over a month and a half to get an appointment with him after I had been to the ER twice with this headache. I will never see this doctor of my own free will and I recommend anyone else find another neurologist because as far as I am concerned, he is useless
