Review of Dr. Smoot

Would not take my dog to see him. Rude unprofessional ,doesn't care about patients at all. If he wants to do a discoghram on you refuse and find another Dr.

I would definitely recommended Dr. Smoot as I was given his name from a friend that was treated by him last year. I'm dealing with a back issue for some time, been to other doctors; seeing better results with this doctor. I have found him and his nurse very pleasant. I feel that my pain issue and concerns are finally being listened to and addressed with good results so far. He has taken time with me , asking questions and worked to help me. Finally a Doctor that cares, I'm not just a number.

Dr. Smoot has not taken time to look into my situation. Without taking time to look into what my situation is, he simply refused to refill a pain med I have been taking for some time(it has been 33 days since last refill). He is covering for my regular doc while she is on vaca. He is rude and unprofessional for not responding to my call when I asked to speak with him. At least call me back so we can discuss what is going on. Instead I was ignored, and am now without ER pain meds.

Spoke to me about politics during a steroid injection; was awkward as I'm at the opposite end of the political spectrum from him and as he had a 4-inch needle in me it didn't feel right to ask him to change the topic. He would also bill for 'long' visits when my appointments with him would be less than ten minutes just to obtain a refill of medicine. I found him to be somewhat creepy and after three treatments found a different provider. He did follow the correct course for initial treatment.
