Review of Dr. Handlin

My father was experiencing possible stoke symptoms. My mother called Dr. Handlin's office to see if she could secure an appointment that day. The nurse proceeded to tell my mother she needed to call her general practitioner or, take my father to the ER. When I personally met with Dr. Handlin a few months prior, he said we could call anytime that my father experienced issues. After the situation was resolved through another doctor, my mother later found out that the head nurse has a reputation for chastising patients and spouses. Mexico is a small town, and doesn't have the medical bandwidth to make these kinds of grievous mistakes. If I where Dr. Handlin, I'd do some serious coaching with my nursing staff to assure his patients are treated with urgency and respect.
