Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato

I've seen many Pain Medicine doctors over the last 8 years at Mayo Rochester, Mankato, as well as providers in the Twin Cities. They all have pluses and minuses but Dr. Dauffenbach is my favorite for exams and injections. Pros: Dr. Dauffenbach is spectacular! He has firm, gentle hands during exams and will find what is ailing you. He is very thorough. Dr. D has good injection technique although he makes me cry when I get back and sacroiliac injections. Trigger point injections are much better. The buck stops with him. When you come in for a consult, if you need an injection and he has the time, he'll get it done. Great bedside manner. Cons: He's in high demand and appointment availability is limited. I waited about three months from the time I had an injection ordered to the time I could get in. Well worth the wait! Some of his clinic supporting staff and co-workers are less than supportive.

Dr. Cheney is thorough in his exam and is genuinely concerned about his patients pain.

As stated in other reviews this doctor takes mental health very lightly. He is not sensitive or caring in any sense of the word. After reading my chart and seeing I have a history of anxiety he completely brushed off all of my abdominal pain symptoms as that. When I questioned him about it he said I shouldn't have even come to the ER and that I needed to see my primary care doctor for these types of things. I have never been treated so gruffly and poorly by a medical doctor. Absolutely disgusting that Mayo employees such poor healthcare workers.

Dr. Dauffenbach is the only doctor I will go to for my cervical RFA procedure. Staff is wonderful and accommodating. Dr. Dauffenbach is personable and the best. A+! I wish I could give 10 stars.

Takes time to explain procedures. I had both knees and hip done with no problems. Waiting to have my shoulder done next.

Dr. K is great. Unfortunately he left Mankato. I don’t know what’s wrong with Mayo in Mankato but my providers keep leaving. I work in a different department but it sounds like the work culture was just too toxic. What a shame! Dr. K was great and will be missed by us patients.

I went to him for a problem with my knee. He told me I needed them replaced right away. After I had it done I had problems so I went to a different surgeon. Turns out he used faulty cement and I didn't need them replaced to begin with. When I tried to talk to him he was VERY rude. I tell everyone NOT to go to him.

Provider provided a diagnose to client prior to an assessment citing a mental health diagnosis in clients previous medical records. Provider did not access recent medical history relating to presenting condition and potential increase in symptoms related to lowering dose in steroid treatment used to treat the condition. Provider seems to not take patients seriously if they have a previous diagnosis of PTSD and assumes it is related to a mental health Dx vs medical condition(ie asthma and it’s treatment). If you are a veteran or have a mental health diagnosis I would avoid this provider as in my case he chalked if my asthma to an old diagnosis and failed to assess history as located in the electronic health system.

Dr. Suleman pressured my grandmother into hospice, although she declined and refused to sign off on beginning admitted to hospice care, Dr. Suleman prescribed, and directed a nurse to give, end of life medications, cancelled her home health care. She not only gave many wrong and misleading statements in a conference called, she completely lied in her follow up doctor notes. Absolutely do not see Dr. Suleman, she was there to sell a product, not care for a patient.

I am 68 and encountered Dr. Kapoor on 8/22-23 at the ER in Mankato. Hands down the most impressive doctor I have encountered in an ER setting.

Dr. Tam is an excellent doctor … unfortunately his support staff at the Eglinton location are pathetic. I arrived today at a scheduled appointment only to be told he was not working today. I did not receive any communication from his office to either confirm my appointment or to cancel . Not happy to say the least..!

Dr. Karimnejad performed nose & throat surgery on me and did a fantastic job. He was honest about the difficult recovery process up front, but I’m so glad I had the procedure done by him. My results are better than expected, there’s such improvement in my breathing! He was professional & time efficient.

Canceled on me so he can have longer holiday weekend while I sit in agonizing pain. Enjoy your weekend

I see Dr. Alm for my below knee prosthesis. She is someone I would not recommend. She has a side relationship with Drew from the limb lab in Mankato. You will receive sub standard treatment from both.

Dr. Crockett worked with me patiently to discover what types of fish I was allergic to, after a lifetime of thinking I was allergic to "all fish." He invited me into his office to sit and gradually try larger increments of any fish we suspected I was not allergic to. Opened up a new world for me. Very knowledgeable and kind man.

Personable , professional , kind doctor . Love the staff . Always received well and had all the appointments without any extra wait time . Highly recommend .

Knows what he's talking about, and loves to shove it down your throat. Ill tempered, awful personal skills. Quick to give a diagnosis, slow to show his work.
