He is the most compassionate and brilliant doctor I have ever had. He always took the time to talk to me and explain everything from treatment to my quality of life. He saved my life.
Dr. Hopkins takes as much time with you as you need. Usually the wait isn't long at all. If it is longer than usual you need to understand that if she gives you as much time as you need you shouldn't be upset when she gives the time to others as well. Never had much of an issue with staff returning calls. If you don't get a call back soon take initiative and call back. Dr. Hopkins and her staff spend a lot of time giving each patient personal attention.
Dr Hopkins is an excellent and caring doctor. She knows her field but her staff needs to be better with responses to returned calls of patient needs. Even after many calls you may not get a return call foe several days.
Years ago my husband and I fell in love with Dr Hopkins for not only her vast knowledge of her field but her ability to put us at ease by totally explaining everything. You walk out of her office feeling you're in the best hands possible. We go to many specialist and Dr Hopkins is by far our favorite.
He was the rudest doctor I have ever met. To look a patient in the eyes and tell them that they do not know what they are talking about (even though I've had this disease since birth) is ridiculous. He does not know what he's talking about when it comes to Sickle Cell Anemia. DO NOT GO TO HIM IF YOU HAVE SICKLE CELL. He will make you suffer with the same meds you have at home.
