Not personable at all. Did not smile once and felt like she did not listen to my concerns. Gave me generic responses. Had 3 appointments with her and then switched to another doctor.
I would recommend Dr.Ryan to anyone who is in need of excellent precise surgery. Dr. Ryan is a true artist. My quadricep tendon repair has turned out extremely well. His attention to detail and concern for my well being is truly compassionate. Thank you Dr. Ryan for using the talent God gave you to serve your patients needs. You are truly called to your profession.
Initially liked him a lot, but as soon as there was a problem he was no longer interested. Would not look into the cause of the severe pain and said there was nothing he could do. Only a plain X-ray done, no further testing. Ordered various medications none of which helped at all. Went to another surgeon who found 3 very fixable problems and they were resolved within 6 weeks. Finally, after suffering for almost a year ( totally unnecessary ) my faith has been restored in the medical profession.
the doctor and his interns at Borgess Hospital did not take into consideration is that my husband did not need just any knee replaced. It was a severely injured knee/leg from his paratrooper/combat days in Viet Nam. Dr. knew of the injuries - did not take any special care before or when preforming the surgery. The surgery took 2 hours longer than was schedule. Ryan came out and said to me, "it took longer than we thought. Extreme pain is all he has since Aug 2015, ruined our life. No help
She seemed nice but rushed and I did not feel like she understood my issue. It has been two weeks since I saw her and I am still in pain and waiting on test results.
Very happy with Dr. Ream for my ACL reconstruction / meniscectomy. He listened to my questions and gave very good estimates/instructions for my recovery. I'm now 2 years post-op and am back to all my sports activities.
Dr. Ryan is easy to talk to and he listens. He's very reassuring and leaves the decision totally up to the patient. Dr. Ryan, on my first visit took time with me that I needed a knee replacement and my rod
removed from my leg. Talking with my husband before living his office, I decided to have the surgery.
I was called the next day with my appointment for the surgery.
Caring about pain and very thourough in looking at test results
His bedside manner may not be all warm and fuzzy but he is excellent at what you pay him to do, hand surgery. This is the most important reason to see any physician.
In my opinion Dr. Thomas Ryan is an outstanding and upfront physician. He tells you what is going on in your knee and gives you options about what to about it. He tells you everything that's going to be done if you have surgery. He even tells you if its too early for surgery. I like him for being honest and direct. You couldn't ask for a better surgeon!
He was condescending and rude. When I explained that I was still in pain, he flat out told me that his 36 years of experience told me I was not. I would never go to him again.
When asked if other autoimmune conditions would interfer with surgery said no. Poor bedside manner when returned for follow-up hand edematous and in pain. Tech proceeded to tell me what I did wrong and Dr Walton raised his voice saying Listen to me. I thought I was the patient and he needed to listen tie me.
Been a while, but I got the impression that this Dr. Just did not care.
Dr Uggen was very specific about my knee issues. He changed my life with two knee replacements. I did what I was told for physical therapy with awesome results.Do not be afraid,he knows what he's doing.Totally worth the time off. Thank you Dr. for a new lease on life!
Dr. Noffsinger came highly recommended to me and did not disappoint. The quality of my TKR was excellent.
Very efficient at letting you know all the options and the risks associated with them
Although I like Dr Ream, I have not heard anything back on the injection for my knee. I have called on several occasions. My last apt was on November 10,2015. I was told I would hear something in 3 weeks. I still have not heard back from anyone there. I called again today. Left another message. Im calling my insurance company to see if anyone has inquired in approval for injection.when my knee locks its painful and scarey. It locked last night in shower. I almost fell out of shower.
