Review for Iris Zink, NP
Rheumatology

When I landed in Iris' lap I was a mess, to put it simply. However there was nothing simple about my diagnosis. I went to get caught up with my Sarcoidosis. By the end of the second visit I had 2 life changing diagnosis. I found out I had been living with Ankylosing spondylitis and Crohn's (along with many more issues) for many years. I like to think of my body as a puzzle. She automatically linked up with my family Dr and they pieced me back together. Without Iris, I don't know where I would be. I was actually referred to her by a nurse at McLaren Hospital. I was inpatient for 3 days. ONE nurse KNEW I needed a rheumatologist RIGHT NOW. Iris and I have connected since the first visit. She is like that with all her patients. Iris, Chris and Claudia make a GRADE A TEAM. I have a few friends and acquaintances that go to see the perfect team. We ALL agree it's Iris or no one.

I was referred to her after being ignored and misdiagnosed by another physician. Iris took the time to go through my file, listen to me, run labs, refer me to another physician to confirm 1/3 of her diagnoses and begin treatment. She is very responsive via email, willing to break things down and ease fears and checks in quite frequently. I am so glad to have found her.

I didn’t feel understood or heard, until I met Iris. She is extremely personable and through in her care. Her compassion and empathy exceeds that of my past rheumatologist, and most of my medical team. I recently referred a friend, who told me Iris has given her life back. Iris Zink is a truly wonderful, and most important, part of my medical team. Thank you, Iris and staff!!

After over two years seeing Ms Scarlett and getting progressively worst, a friend of mine suggested I see her physician. After maybe five minutes of seeing my friend 's physician, was referred to neurologist and seen the next day. He immediately went me for mri. After more than two years of being told I had rheumatoid arthritis learned I had a chiari malformation and syrinix. These required surgery. Had copies of mri sent to Ms Scarlett so she would know that her diagnosis was wrong.

Iris is the best of the best. Her enthusiasm, professional manner, and medical expertise made my visits a pleasure. It is because of her that I sought treatment for a condition unrelated to arthritis. In the course of my visit I mentioned an overall decline in my general health. She ordered complete blood work, and through it we discovered that I was in kidney failure. My family doctor was informed, and I recovered when the cause was discovered and treated. She was truly a lifesaver.

Dr. Beals is knowledgeable and caring. She listens to her patients and spends time with them. Most of the time you will have to wait past your scheduled time to see Dr. Beals. I don't mind the wait time because I know Dr. Beals is spending the same quality time with another patient that she spends with me. She is worth the wait.
