Review of Dr. McIntosh-Moore

-

The first time I saw her she took me off all meds for two weeks. Biggest mistake ever. I was diagnosed in the last 30 years with rheumatoid & osteoarthritis & fibromyalgia. In the 2 years I saw her she did 1 blood test. II just went back for a check-up and I had recently had two knee replacements. She told me she wasn’t treating me anymore for arthritis and that I didn’t have any pain! She told me to “pick” which 2 meds I wanted and that it all she would prescribe. Wouldn’t recommend her

She takes the time to listen to you, and thoroughly reviews tests. I feel that she really wants to make a difference in my health.

Excellent care. Very knowledgeable. Explained all aspects of probable diagnosis for my college-age daughter, explained labs, monitoring, medication, what to look for, when to call. Worked around college schedule. Arranged for lab draws in advance of future visits, so she would have all information needed during actual appointment. Very personable. Pleasant office staff, too.

I've been going here for 4 years. Her nurse has other patients info instead of mine, and often forgets to call in my RXs. This results in going without daily meds for over a week at a time. The Dr. does not look at your chart before spending 3 minutes with you and has told me she doesn't have time to check it for vital information because she doesn't want to run late on her appts. She wont discuss lab results with me and changes her diagnoses back and forth each visit. Stay away!

The last 2 visits she has not done a physical exam, she also charges for services rendered by a medical student. As a health professional I know you can not bill for a medical student unless you personally verify the results. Also recommended a medication that is contraindicated with my current meds. All because her staff didn’t even check my current med list I would recommend that all the insurance companies audit her billing as soon as possible.

Review of Dr. McIntosh-Moore

I have seen Dr. McIntosh-Moore on and off for the past 5 years. She can be very rude, condescending, and has no sense of humor which is important to me. Her bedside manner is severely lacking. The thing that bothered me the most, however, was that she walked into the room, and without acknowledging me as a PERSON or saying my name at all she asked "So how are the dry eye and mouth?" I have Sjogren's syndrome and apparently to her, all I am is just a disease and set of symptoms. Find another...
