Review of Dr. Finks

- in Bay city, MI |

I had been told there was nothing could be done for my complex hernias for the last two years. Dr Finks repaired the hernias and also fixed the mess the previous surgeon left. I got my life back and am finally out of pain!

Review of Dr. Sonnenday

- in San Diego , CA |

Hands down with not even a 2nd in the running! Dr Sonnenday was my surgeon and he gave me a 2nd chance at life! He did my liver transplant in 3 hrs. I was in and out so fast that when I woke up, I was taken back to SICU and got up and walked the hallways and thanked every single nurse and tech I came across! Thank You Doc! You're my Hero!

Review of Dr. Sabel

- |

Dr Sabel wasn’t afraid to contradict previous doctors- which I greatly appreciated. He validated my concern and was proactive with my care. I had a complication (not related to his care - had an allergic reaction that was not known previously) because of this he took the time to see me weekly. He also got me in quick to other specialist to expedite the recovery from the complications.

Review of Dr. Burney

If I could rate dr. Burney a zero I would. I am a future physician myself and he wrote an inaccurate, self-indulgent, editorialized note in my medical record and sent it to my PCP. Bottom line is: outcomes are important in clinical medicine. So is the experience we give patients. I am glad that he served some patients well but he deserves my account to be publically available as well. I hope venting your frustrations over our encounter was worth sacrificing your professionalism.

Review of Dr. Sabel

I was extremely pleased with the outcome of my recent lumpectomy - minimal pain & disfiguration. I appreciate that he is an advocate for lumpectomies (rather than mastectomies), as evidenced by his publications. It shows a level of empathy that not all doctors have. Dr. Sabel was very patient & compassionate in all interactions with me (as well as other interactions that I witnessed), even when he must have been tired from already having performed several surgeries that day.

Review of Dr. Sonnenday

- in Rancho Cucamonga, CA |

I am an RN residing in CA whose mother-in-law lives out of state. We were in MI when she was diagnosed with liver cancer but unfortunately had to return to CA after 2 trips to MI. Dr. Sonnenday spoke with me on the phone with our family in his office about her care. This expert surgeon was detailed and methodical in explaining our options. My mother-in-law decided to have surgery at 84 years of age and did well. We really appreciate Dr. Sonnenday and highly recommend him.

No clear explanation at all from nurses to doctor. He even don't listen to me. Really disappointed.

She performed partial thyroid removal. Her care before and after surgery was exceptional. I would only recommend her. Her staff was also exceptional.

Review of Dr. Sonnenday

-Ann Arbor, MI |

Dr. Sonnenday saw my father this past Friday for a pancreatic mass evaluation. He was compassionate, informative, helpful and understanding and I highly recommend him. We left feeling that we were in the right hands to guide us through diagnosis and treatment. U of MI should be proud to have a doctor like this.
