Review of Dr. Powers

Dr. Powers has become far too big a deal these days ad thus, you will be a small deal to him and his staff. I had to wait about 6 weeks just to get a call back to learn the results of my MRI. I raised my concerns with his staff and was completely blown off. I had to call several times and was told I was "in the queue". They need to either increase their staff or they need to lower their patient load. It's completely unfair to patients who are in a high level of pain and are disregarded.

Review of Dr. Powers

Dr. Powers is wonderful & has a great team, especially PA Celeste Aquino. From my first office visit I felt listened to & validated. Care was taken to ensure the recommendation for surgery was the last and best option. When I had questions after getting 2nd and 3rd opinions, Dr. Powers took time to answer my questions and concerns so that I was confident in my decision. So far, post-op has been the same experience - very supportive and responsive to questions or concerns. Definitely recommend!

Review of Dr. Powers

Dr. Powers and his staff are amazing. I went through months of chronic pain, stress and could barely walk. After Dr. Powers surgery I was on pain medication for 2 days and could walk pain free. Of course there is some pain (mostly discomfort) associated with the surgery itself. I can’t thank Dr. Powers and staff enough for their attention to my needs and of course the superior surgical skills of Dr. Powers.

Review of Dr. Powers

-Waltham, MA |

I have never had a doctor/surgeon/nurse spend as much valuable time with me as Dr. Powers did. Long story short - 7 months of dealing with herniated L5/S1 pain with sciatica issues. At the time of seeing Dr. Powers, I had finally started to get some semblance of normal function, but having Dr. Powers understand my whole history on the injury, and a plan going forward, was so valuable. He spent nearly 1 whole hour sitting and talking with me, hearing my complaints, and was so, so helpful.

My letter to Dr. Powers: When it became obvious that we would have to proceed with surgery, few doctors have the magic of touch and words, like you do, to replace the fear and uncertainty of surgery with trust and confidence. Your quality and integrity as a surgeon and, more importantly, as a person, shine through. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for you. Thank you for taking such great care of me.

Review of Dr. Powers

I typically don't take the time to write up reviews but I can say without a doubt Dr. Powers is the best Doctor I have ever seen. From his bedside manor, to the skill in performing my procedure to recovery. Not only was this a second opinion, (the day before my planned surgery) but he convinced me the procedure I was about to have a TLIF wasn't necessary and he could resolve the issue with a much less invasive decompression procedure. Lucky for me he had a cancellation the following day.

Dr Powers is an anomaly. Surgeons are known for their personalities (or lack thereof.) Dr Powers spends a lot of time w his patients. He listens well & explains everything thoroughly. His staff members are also top notch.

Review of Dr. Nair

- in Bethesda, MD |

Extremely bad. Took our 94-year old mother, who has a neck fracture to see Dr. Nair (for the first time). Yes, we were 10 minutes late because we were stuck in the parking garage of the Barlow Bldg. When we got to the office, the staff told us he had LEFT! That's the kind of doctor he is.
