Review of Dr. Dryden-Edwards

-

Very short with my son with ADHD. Quick to prescribe but did not listen to his concerns. Billed me $100 for a missed appointment after a family emergency which took us out of town on the same day as the appointment. No compassion.

After my daughter (w/ an intellectual/developmental disability), was dismissed from Dr. (I use that term very loosely), Dryden-Edwards' office, we had to hospitalize her for a month! She actually admitted she didn't have a clue what to do, (after insisting she was able to work w/ a kid w/ ID/DD-heck, read MY chapter in book). She sent us to visit with another (new), psychiatrist in her office, "because she might have some fresh ideas". She didn't. Dr. D-E said to find someone who had more time!

A 'medication management' appointment billed in total (insurance & co-pay costs) for well over $100 for supposedly 15 minutes actually lasts 1 or 2 minutes unless you quickly bring up new concerns to keep her attention. The office staff are usually pleasant, but I once heard them discussing another patient while I was in the waiting room. I doubt they realized patients could hear them, but it made me concerned about confidentiality and compassion toward patients.

If I could leave no stars I would. I’m very upset with this practice. Front staff act like you’re not even there. Waited way too long for my child’s appointment. The PA lied to me and completely lost my trust. I will not be going back.

Worst office. The front desk staff are very rude and unprofessional. You will not feel welcome here.

I will not recommend this practice. In dealing with my minor child, this doctor refuses to call my child the correct name, has poor communications skills in expressing empathy, compassion, or feeings of care of concern for the patient. The clearly visible can of Raid bug spray on the floor next to the doctor's office chair was an especially nice touch.

The worst of the worst. She decided my daughter's problems were too much for her and dropped her as a patient. She is a psychiatrist, no? We went to her for help, not to be rejected and told to screw off. This is not a doctor anyone should consider seeing.

Review of Dr. Dryden-Edwards

The office staff is rude and unprofessional. There is a reason why knowledgeable physicians, familiar with the most current and effective psychopharmacology, are charging over $300 an hour and not accepting any insurance providers. This practice was designed to cater to new patients, for the short term, and the insurance dependent for the long term. This practice represents the worst of the areas 15-minute script farms and relies on high patient output offering low quality of care.

I really like her! I just switched to her practice a couple months ago and she switched my medicine from Abilify to Latuda. I feel good and am losing the weight that Abilify made me gain. I think she is very intelligent and like I said, I like her a lot!

I find the office staff to be professional and efficient, but not overly friendly. Dr. D-E readjusted my medication and I've experienced a remarkable turn-around with a much better quality of life. My only complaint: she asks how I'm doing & when she thinks I've talked for a long enough period of time, she cuts me off and asks, "So how do you think the current dosage is working for you?" With that, I'm dismissed from her office. Like her office staff, professional & efficient, but unfriendly.
