My earlier review was about the testing phase. I received my hearing aids two weeks later and was delighted with the results. I went back after wearing them for two weeks and Lori adjusted them. I returned one more time (my request) to do a little "fine tuning" and she was delightful about it. I feel very comfortable and relaxed when I'm there, and Lori and Nora both told me to come back whenever I feel the need. Great team!!

I couldn't be happier with my experience at SONUS. Lori gave me an extensive test, explained the various types of hearing aids, and then modified the settings on the ones I chose so they were perfect for me.

Office is very clean and neat. Receptionist friendly and informed. Dr. L Barr is quite pleasant and efficiently thorough. Location is a bit out of the way. I would certainly recommend to others.

Upon my arrival, I was greeted warmly. Some paperwork had not been submitted by my primary care doctor but staff made an exceptional effort to get the required documents. My examination was thorough and each step was explained as we went. The test results were completely reviewed and recommendations made with chances to ask questions. This is definitely a very professional hearing center.

Amazing! I walked in and was asked how could I be helped. Nora immediately notified Lori I was there. Lori explained the procedure and the diagnosis of permanent nerve damage due to the chemo drug I had, so I would need hearing aids. I would return after my appointment with the ENT. After leaving there,I went to the ENT's office and Nora had already forwarded the results! I would highly recommend Lori Barr and her staff for their awesome customer service and compassionate customer care.

I can't say enough about the positive experience with Lori. I have owned hearing aids (for over a decade) that I got from an audiologist in Montgomery County. Although I was very pleased with that audiologist, the thought of going back down to her office was more than I wanted so I opted to find one in Frederick. Lori is very professional while maintain a very friendly/relaxed atmosphere. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing their hearing checked and possibly new hearing aids.

Have had my aids for only a year. Lori performs her work in a relaxed, yet professional manner. It has always been a pleasure to meet with her through testing, fitting and cleaning. Her services at Homewood Retirement Center in Frederick every three months is a blessing to those of us who are residents there. I highly recommend Lori to anyone who may be "on the fence" concerning making that decision whether to keep missing out on conversations or taking the plung, accepting the fact, that, yes, I need the aids. I have worn hearing aids for 10 years. However recently I visited Dr Lori Barr and she recommended and fit me for a new and different hearing technology which is spectacular! I am completely amazed and in awed of the new sounds in my life. Thank you Dr Barr!
