Review of Dr. Berkson

- |

I was referred to Dr. Berkson through a colleagues husband who was training under him and aspired to practice as he does. I was not disappointed. Dr. Berkson took his time with me during my appointments. He explained the pathology of my knee problems, the options I had, and together we came up with a treatment plan. He would ask me my opinion and what my thoughts and concerns were. After having a pretty big surgery with him his care remained exceptional. He called me the night I came home from the hospital and gave me further instructions on how to control my pain. When I was feeling unsure about some symptoms I was having post operatively I paged him and even though he was in the operating room he called me back within 10 minutes and gave me reassurance as well as more pain medication which he assured me I still needed. On my first post operative visit he spent at least 30-40 minutes with me. I had to wait a bit of time to see him past my appointment time but trust me his is worth the

I fractured my elbow and shattered it into multiple pieces which required a plate and screws. Dr. Berkson was the MAIN reason I made it through and healed properly. From the moment I met him, he was calm, measured, and caring. He could see that I was worried about my surgery. He took time to explain things to me. He was so skilled and pieced my elbow back together again. Even the nurses in the surgical unit were raving about him before I had my surgery. It is clear that his skill and deep understanding of my injury made me feel secure throughout the consultation, surgery, and follow up appointments. I trusted him implicitly and my outcome was excellent. After I fractured my elbow, I couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel, but he kept me focused. He gave clear instructions after my surgery. He is the absolute BEST doctor! I cannot say enough about the quality of care I received from him. If I could give more than 5 stars to Dr. Berkson, I would! He is that good!

Review of Dr. McInnis

Very rude and arrogant doctor. Met her a number of times. Showed little concern for patient and poor bedside manner. Was disappointed that I did not react positively to her treatment and showed it very clearly. Due to her treatment my condition was aggravated and healing took considerably longer. Probably the worst doctor I have ever met in my life.

Do not waste your time. This doctor is outdated and is unaware of current practices. He will not help you. He will think you make no sense and send you off. I suggest you see another doctor who is recently educated, so they can understand more of what goes today.

Review of Dr. Zarins

I had a good experience with a prior knee injury with Dr. Zarins in the 90's, but more recently he failed to diagnose or treat my problem. I had severe pain following a fracture and I saw him twice and he told me nothing else could be done - live with it. Eventually I saw a surgeon who quickly diagnosed synovitis, which is common after the fracture I had. It was easily treatable with a couple cortisone shots. I suffered permanent arthritis damage to my hands from using a cane for months.
