The thing that most impressed me most about Dr. Duncan was the first time we met him when he took the time to introduce himself to Our family and then included our 2 year old son and turned him and said, “Hi, I’m Dr. Duncan.” (Our son wasn’t the patient). It felt above and beyond, especially after a really trying few months being sprung into life with a baby who was NG dependent and no one knew yet what was “wrong” at a hospital where we had had poor experience after poor experience. Dr. Duncan was a breath of fresh air and has never once made us feel unheard, belittled or like we aren’t the experts on our child. He’s looked at her as a whole person who is part of a family and not just a set of lungs with a GI tract, which is refreshing and much needed. He’s spoken with us on numerous occasions about our concerns, he’s worked hard to build our trust after really difficult experiences with previous providers and we are forever grateful.

Worst doctor I have ever been in contact with. Not only should she not be in pediatrics, she also shouldn't be a doctor. She is extremely rude. Copy and pastes her "notes" from the previous appointment. Has the nurses do everything and makes you feel like your child is wasting her time. In all honesty, if you have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Bern cancel and find another doctor. Even if cancelling means waiting a month to see another doctor. The wait time to see another doctor is worth ever second, rather then wasting your time being seen by a "doctor" with zero compassion for your child, zero time for your child and an extremely bad attitude. If it was possible to provide zero stars on this rating, I would.

Very poor experience. He does not appear to be interested in the well being of his patients. I had just come from the ER with a GI diagnosis. He did not accept the diagnosis and ignored my pain and complaint. I would not recommend him.

The worst doctor I think I ever had. She is very stubborn, and was unorthodox when it came to treating someone for UC. Please avoid her if you can.

I feel the exact same way as the last review! I brought him all my daughters tests that had been done. My daughter started stomach pain 8 months ago and is now worse, with other symptoms! He will not run any other tests and won't listen to me as a mother. It was tough to get MY thoughts in because he already gave his final thoughts and wouldn't listen"she needs to have therapy to manage her chronic pain!" Here's a thought, how about find the reason she's in pain!! I left crying with no hope.

Thus GI doctor is good. His bedside manner is good. His timing for appointments is awful. He does double or triple his schedule with patients and to are waiting over 30 minutes to be seen. If we were to be late, we would be charged a fee or not seen at all.

If I could give zero starts, I would. We traveled from Az, desperate for an answer for our ill daughter. He promised to take an unbiased approach, admitting her for 5 days. Forgotten was the unbiased approach. All that was done was to review outside scans from months before, all of which he has before our arrival. Nothing but blood tests were perormed. Albeit, all abnormal, I didn't find out until I returned home, accessing her chart remotely. we experienced nothing but hostility and judgement

My son Joe was a patient of Dr Grand's for many years. Joe died in a car accident 5 years ago. Dr Grand was the most kind, competent and thorough Doctor we ever had. When Joe's dad died Dr Grand took the time to write us a condolence letter which I have to this day. He is one of a kind!
