Bohn and Joseph Eye Center

I saw an ophthalmologist 1-2 years ago. His equipment is stuck in the 1980s. The dr also didn't take me seriously. Dr. Joseph is the opposite. Top of the line equipment, great staff and he's the best. He called me last night regarding my surgery to ask if all's ok and if I had any questions. I'm not used to Doctors calling. It gave me even more confidence in Dr. Joseph. My eyesight is 20/20 in my left eye. I haven't had 20/20 since about 11 or 12.

Dr. Swan’s office was very accommodating. There was a terrible storm expected during my appointment time and his office easily moved my visit to a different time that day. He thoroughly explained the lens replacement options for my cataract surgery and allowed me to make my own decisions without any pressure. Dr. Swan was very pleasant on surgery day and personally called to check on me that same evening. His new offices are lovely. His staff was very pleasant to work with as well. Dr. Swan was recommended to me by 2 friends and I will recommend him to others.

I had an appointment for the first time with Dr. Auzita Sajjadi and she was amazing! I've always been nervous about eye appointments in the past but from start to finish the whole visit was smooth - everyone was so nice including her assistant and the the ladies at check in and check out. The doctor was very kind, knowledgeable, and personable and spent so much time talking to me and answering my questions. I could tell she really wanted to make sure I understood everything about my prescription and all my options. She recommended a new contact lens brand for me and gave me demo lenses - I haven't had such comfortable contact lenses before! She gave me samples of drops to use with them and coupons as well. I was very pleased with Dr. Sajjadi and everyone else at her office and I'm so happy to have such a great eye doctor I can trust now! I highly recommend her!

I had both cataract surgeries with Dr. Joseph last summer. He and his staff were excellent throughout both procedures.

End of April, 2021 saw Dr. Joseph who couldn't be bothered and said so that he knew nothing about low platelets; that due to infection and bleeding my platelets would have to come up before scheduling cataract surgery. Subsequently, after 4 full months and deciding to just get my script, I would get glasses for the time-being since my eyes hurt and vision worse. After speaking with 4 different girls in office Tiffany who said she knows my situation well promised to fax script several weeks ago and has not! Of course now he has lost a cataract surgery patient and must advertise for more. How much will that cost him versus just giving me my script? And why wouldn't a caring doctor give a script to a patient who needs one? BTW I am getting platelets every other day and red blood transfusions weekly! How upset would Dr. Joseph have been for me to schedule and then have to cancel cataract surgery at the last minute when I knew this all along could happen.

It would be difficult to find better than Dr Swan! I have been his patient since he started in Lafayette. Two surgeries and years of care later, I can only recommend him as being the best.

Very professional and knowledgeable. 2 cataract surgeries and two recommended eye protective surgeries. All very successful. He explains the procedures very well and is a very polite man with a great bedside manner. I recommend him to anyone needing eye treatment.

I strongly recommend Dr. Joseph. I had cataract surgery on both eyes and the whole process was well coordinated and efficient. I had no problems whatsoever. Very good physician!!

Had a pterygium removed from my right eye by Dr Swan. Having heard all the stories about the pain and scratchiness I was expecting the worst. I had no pain and almost no soreness. Dr Swan was very professional, took his time and explained everything completely to my understanding. The procedure was painless. I had no aftereffects from anything. If you have to have eye surgery please consider Dr Swan.
