Thank God for Dr. Woods. My mother had a stroke and went to another neurologist. He had mom on too many meds. Dr Woods performed several test on her and removed her off of meds my mom did not need. She was no longer lethargic and she started speaking more to express her wants and needs. What a blessing! She is awesome! ??
Best Neurologist my wife has gone to for her MS, absolutely no complaints except his nurses are LAZY...My wife has to play phone tag with his nurse for DAYS to get her meds refilled because they are too lazy to call in the refills.
He's been my doctor for years. His office is great with this crazy insurance and all the changes. He has been very professional and knows what he is doing.
My daughter has been a patient twice due to concussions. He spends a great deal of time not simply treating the patient but educating the patients and family on how to best prevent further injuries through strength training and supplements that are readily available in most stores. I'd recommend him.
Dr. Plato is a very good doctor. I had a wonderful experience with him treating my migraines. However, his office staff is terrible, not organized, not efficient, specifically, people who are in charge of organizing shots (botox injections) , not possible to contact them directly; I left 5 voice messages, none was returned.
he does not spend enough time with in your appointment time,he is very rude and dismissive.Pathetic Doc.I would not refer even my enemies go to him...very very rude! Im not sure how Norton can keep these type of doctor as their staff AND GET AWAY???
In all time that I attended in his office never return any of my calls. All the doubts and questions that I had about my illness and treatment I always had to talk and solve with the nurse. Never saw any of my MRI images or results of my blood tests never received a good explanation about my disease everything I had to investigate on the internet
Dr woods is excellent however since she has switched to Nortons the wait time is horrible!
Dr Plato was fantastic. He took a tremendous amount of time to talk me through the my issues and concerns. He would not let me leave his office until he answered all of my questions. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend him.
Dr. Plato has been nothing but wonderful, and helpful with me and helping me with my migraines. I was sent to him from my neurologist and he has done so much to help find a solution for my migraines, and daily headaches. I would recommend him to everyone.
This bro took no time to talk to me or my family about what was going on, he did NOT treat me, walking out of the room with a wave and NO understanding of my situation or any explanation of what he wanted to do to explore it or fix it. I left the hospital after four days of treatment with Reglan that I was allergic to, that made me wet myself every time it was administered, and never got a change of clothes or bed clothes. He should be ashamed of himself, but doesn't have the ability. K. Hardy
Outstanding patient care and follow up
This doctor does not know what he is doing gave me a shot an said he screwed up.Very scary office they keep calling me for future visits.Run away from this doctor an office very bad.And I'm a nurse I'm use to doctors offices, but this is awful.
Really spent little time with me and said he had a conference call very bizarre man,I wouldn't recommend him,I spoke with another patient complain about misdiagnosis in the office she was not happy with him either an left the office.
Terriable Doctor spent little time with me,and has a bad reputation with other doctors and hospitals. I looked into his bedside manner Not good at all
Dr. Woods has always taken a lot of time with me. I've never felt rushed. I have had to wait a good amount of time on occasion, but when she gets to me I am very satisfied with the amount of time that she spends and the treatment that she gives. As far the office staff, they are helpful and accommodating.
I was seen by him in the hospital since he is in the same practice as my doctor. He was rude, his bedside manner was awful and he also claimed I was faking a seizure which I still am suffering from a year later. He is too smart for being so young which has fed his huge ego.
Dr. Woods provides very limited patient time, poor explanations for diagnosis or conditions, and excessive wait times. I was asked to reschedule my appointment because she had a conflict, which I did. When I arrived 2 days later for my new appointment I waited 1.5 hours. The staff was completely unaware and unconcerned with my wait. Neither the office staff, nor Dr. Woods nurses seemed willing or able to determine the cause of the delay or how much longer the wait would be. Just awful service.
I would give him less than a star if that was possible. He is condescending, unprofessional and blames his patients. To say that his bedside manner is subpar is the nicest thing I could say for such a dismissive joke of a doctor.
Very cold and not understanding of patients problems. VERY BLUNT !
Dr Plato saw me for chronic headache pain. He was very conceded and dismissive. He choice not to MRI my head and said my headache pain was liking from me being stressed. One year later I was still having problems and went to UC neurology and my MRI reveled over 10 lesions on my brain and I was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis. Dr. Plato was rude and completely missed a life changing chronic disease. I would never recommend anyone seeing him.
He was a nightmare. He missed a seizure on my EEG the ER doc told me about, and was ready to release me. I asked about the seizure and he was surprised, saying he didn't look for that because I wasn't describing seizure-like incidents. He halted my release and then confirmed an epilepsy diagnoses. He put me on meds and said he couldn't see me until Oct. (this was June!). When I asked questions, he told me I sounded like I wanted to have something more serious! He's an incompetent bully.
Wow...all I can say. Two HIPPA violations in under an hour! Impressive!
If I could put zero stars, I would! He was the rudest doctor I have ever encountered. Basically told me I was a liar and told me this wasn't a neurology issue and not his problem. He also told me to get my anxiety under control and that what I was explaining wasn't possible. He didn't let me talk or give info or ask questions and actually told me to stop talking. It was appalling. I would never, ever recommend him to anyone ever . My other doctors and nurses couldn't believe how he treated me.
I was admitted to Norton Hospital (downtown) on Feb 19 of this year from Corydon IN hospital. I arrived by ambulance. It was determined in Corydon that I had suffered a stroke and they made sure I was stabilized then transferred me by ambulance. Dr Alsorogi was my Neurologist and I found him to be caring, patient and attentive to every detail. I had been staying with my daughter in Corydon so my follow up was left to a Dr in my city. The entire staff was concerned and followed up via phone.
I was with Dr. Meckler for 10 years. I trusted him with my life. Turns out he ruined my life. He misdiagnosed me, filled me with medications I didn't need, mentally and physically crippled me for 10 years.
Dr Johnson jr was my brothers neurologist when he was admitted after a medical condition. His compassion and bedside manner that he showed was above anything we had expected he made my brothers condition easy to understand. Sadly my brother did not survive. Dr Johnson consoled our family in this time of grief. He truly is a gift to the Norton family and we are grateful that he cared for our brother. Thank you Dr. Johnson!
I would give him a -zero if I could he
Dr. Roy Meckler has been my neurologist for awhile now. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 20+ years ago and Dr. Meckler is a definite must in my treatment! He knows about this pesky disease all while making it not so pesky anymore~
Dr. Nazar saved me from a life of pain. I can't thank him enough. God bless you.
He gave me meds that could adversely effect my heath. Was not told to take the medicines prescribed . He did not read my chart to check for precursors. Scripthe pad doctor. Quack
I have had secondary progressive MS for 20 years. I dropped off records before the appointment and she walked into the room well-informed. She did not force me to pick the latest therapy for MS. She knew very well what progressive MS was but explained why new images can help because some people have active MRIs. She didn't get upset when I said no. She had empathy. She called herself an MS specialist because she had special training in MS (I asked!). Had no problems with her.
Most amazing doctor I have ever seen. Her bedside manner is phenomenal! She listens and answers all questions. I never once felt rushed. I HIGHLY recommend her. She explained everything so clearly. She is very knowledgeable. She is fantastic!!
Guy can't even tell you whats causing pain. Gives garbage text book answers and fails to even go slightly in depth. Performs a lumbar discectomy and then when it fails acts like it was my own doing just a month after surgery. Won't even offer advice and pretty much leaves it to me to figure it out. Never should have had surgery, but no big deal for him it's just another payday. Unless you have something straight forward and not a compounded problem I would look at another DR.
He's the best! Thorough, caring, thoughtful, obesity of the true good guys. Answers any and all questions. Never makes you feel rushed. Always makes sure you understand. Dreading the day he retires.
She doesn't really care about her patients, and she's quick to jump to her diagnoses - even before medical test results are complete. Her staf do most of the work there and they are all incredibly friendly and helpful, but she is a poor Doctor with little emotional intelligence or empathy.
Dr.Nazar has given me my life back. I had a spinal fusion done in Nov. (9mo) ago. My recovery was great! I did everything he and his team said to do. I have no pain, a very small scar and a backbone made out of titanium! How great is that! I had no quality of life before, living on pills that didn't really help, and I couldn't stand, walk, sit, and lastly couldnt lay in bed to sleep. THANK YOU DR. NAZZAR FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.?? Thanks for giving me my life back!
Dr. Roy Meckler is always smiling and it makes my visits so much easier. I can always count on everything he does for my benefit during our benefit. He always answers calls and can be counted on to refill medicines on time.
Dr. Roy Meckler has been my doctor for the past 30 years. Doctor Meckler saved my life and for that I am thankful daily. He always takes time to answer questions and show that he cares for me as a person. I look forward to our yearly visits...it is so nice to see that smile as I walk into his office.
I thought introducing herself as the MS specialist' was a little pretentious given the fact that she is just beginning private practice. She may be fine for someone newly diagnosed with relapse/remit MS, but has absolutely no clue how to treat secondary progressive MS. And apparently she has not been practicing long enough to have ever had a patient say no. I refused the newest-greatest DMT and she was visibly angry. I believe she retaliated by screwing with my medications.
She was probably the most poorly prepared, poorly informed Neurologist I have ever had any experience with.
Was called in to consult on my case due to blackout and shaking episodes. Never examined me, just walked in to my hospital room and said I can't tell you what is wrong with you but I know what isn't. I am suspending your driver's license for 90 days. I am treated by another neurologist in Philadelphia and asked him to contact her before making any determination on my case and he refused. Then walked out of my room and told the nurse to discharge me. Turns out it was a medication I was on.
I would definitely look somewhere else for a Neurologist then jeopardizing your health with this butcher of a so called Doctor. He tried to do a LP on an exam table in his office. It went bad from the beginning. A nurse came in to see if Jason Meckler needed assistance and Dr. Meckler told her he did not need any and out of the room she went. He tried several times to get the needle in to my spine and all he did was cause me create extreme pain that ended up lasting for weeks.
Dr. Ganesh is a kind and competent physician. I love her
This is a very nice doctor. She showed me my brain MRIs and explained my disease. She was thorough. She called me with my MRI results. She answered all my questions. The staff have been helpful with getting things scheduled. I felt very informed after my first visit.
He's a very rude man accused me of being a complainer said my BP readings didn't matter to him. He gave me symptoms I never had. He even went so far as to start shouting at me and arguing with me over why I was in the hospital. He even stormed out of my hospital room at one point. He went so far as to say that I was lying and that I stiffed the chemicals I work with! I would never trust him for anything. Some of this was heard by a nurse who said, she'd be a witness if needed.
This arrogant and dismissive neurologist I've ever had experience with. I don't want to go into details or waste anybody's time rambling on, but dealing with her was a terrible experience, and made finding a new neurologist as difficult as possible for me.
May sure when making an appointment that the correct doctor is listed and location asked to be seen at is stated, not taken for grant that a person knows what office. The staff gives the address as 210 Grey Street, which is a Norton's facility. I never saw 210 on the building, therefore missing my appointment. This is about the staff, I still have not seen the docyor yet.
He is the best, he was there since 2007. He also treated my daughter. I would travel farther than I did which was 8 hours. I live in Sardis Ms. Greatly missed, where are you now.
The Doctor and staff were very pleasant. The Doctor took time to fully explain and answer all my question.
He is a very caring and thorough Doctor. I highly recommend him.
BEST DOCTOR WHO LISTENS,UNDERSTANDS, AND BECOMES LIKE FAMILY. TRULY CARES ABOUT YOU.. DEVISTATING THAT ME AND OTHERS WILL LOOSE HIM. TRULY BE MISSED!! THERE IS NO OTHER DOCTOR LIKE YOU.
Dr. Jason Meckler is the best neurologist that I have ever experienced. He has amazing patience and is a great listener. He is concerned about a patient's total health concerns and not just in his field. He greatly helped me with a concern that no other doctor was able to help He told the truth about interactions that others missed. He called at our home to give test results and returned calls. He is very compassionate. I saw baked goods and canned goods from patients. (Well liked!)
He is a great and wonderful doctor .
I've been seeing Dr. Meckler since I was diagnosed with MS about 16 years ago. He always recommends the best course of treatment and reevaluates as needed. He promptly responds to my questions between visits by email or phone. He takes time to discuss problems during office visits. He's the best.
23 years ago he preformed a cranial facial on my 7 mouth old daughter. Her scull had fussed together and her front of her face was bulging out, and in the back side also was caving in. He preformed the cranial facial and saved her life. She is the love of my life, she don't live with me now lives with her mother now, her phone is her love of her life now. she graduated high school, and was awarded a 3 year scholarship to UOFL Thank You 23 years later. Now I will be going to you for my backprob.
I went to Dr Nazar for a 2nd opinion. He came into the room, admitted he never looked at my records, looked at 1 of my numerous x-rays and rambled about for 15 minutes. He never answered any of our questions We waited over 2 hours to be seen. I was disappointed and hope they don't send me a bill. I DO NOT recommend him to anyone.
He the best neurologist. He save the life of my wife several time. Is bet side manner are exceptional. He really care about is patient. A great man with a big heart.
I have never met a Dr that made me feel like they truly cared about my health issues like Dr Jason does. He cares about his patients and goes out of his way to help find the best treatment path for you. If I don't understand something he takes the time to explain it to me and uses terms that I understand. He listens to everything I tell him and will even ask questions if I don't give him enough detail on an issue. He is a doctor that puts his patients first!!!
I came to Dr Frank after an auto accident and suffered a concussion. He is very informative and explained to me what me having a concussion meant to me today and would mean to me in the future. He gave me the good and the possible bad. He is very direct but patient.
I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. My experience with Dr. Johnson was that he didn't understand my daughters condition and accused her of lying about how she felt. He didn't try to understand that she was suffering from a autonomic condition called POTS, that had been diagnosed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester; He said that he didn't believe in that kind of stuff. We immediately took her out of the hospital under his care and had her treated elsewhere. He's dangerous.
He is the best doctor I have ever experienced. Highly concerned of the patients feelings. Makes you feel like a friend rather than just a patient.
Dr. Meckler listens and understands my concerns. I always feel like he cares that his patients have a quality life. I will miss you and I hope you and your family are happy with your relocation!
Been with him since my ms diagnosis over ten years ago. LOVE HIM! Hate to see him leaving Louisville. Greatest Dr ever.
He did a wonderful job healing my back problems. I will be going back to him to fix my neck.
