Bonnie Charles Smothers is our family physician. She talks to me and discusses my health and choices. Visits arent rushed. She is cautious but knowledgable. I can get in in a timely manner. Downside. She works tues/thurs/fri only

Dr. Bonnie Charles Smothers has been my family doctor for about 5 years. She is an amazing physician. She takes time to listen and works out a plan that both you and her are comfortable with. She always spends quality time with me when I'm in office. I would recommend anyone to see her. Also, her nurse Candace, is awesome. She always returns phone calls promptly.

I had a complicated medical problem that I now know is an autoimmune disease. While under his care I was told it was in my head and if I felt that his staff wasnt doing enough for me I could figure out how to get an appointment with the mayo clinic on my own. They showed 0 concern with my quality of life. I begged him and his nursing staff to help me and they ended up telling me to find another doctor. Thankfully I did and was diagnosed and treated. I would not recommend him in any way.

Nugent is not a healer, he is a “refer-er”. He just refers you to other real drs and that’s ONLY IF you can get him to care about your issues. He hem haws and talks ignorantly in circles without saying anything and in the end you’re left wondering what did he say?? And in the end, you’re left feeling like you need to see a REAL doctor, because he made me wonder how he got a license! What! A! Joke!! Office staff is very judgmental and ignorant. I wouldn’t take a sick pet to them! Reporting him!

The reception and staff were awful. Condescending, and judgmental about how much money my family made and if we were fit to be their patients. I couldn't believe the treatment I got from them. I would definitely find another health care provider, as this facility is clearly only for the white privileged. She, without even verifying my income or insurance suggested I go to a free clinic instead.

Called to gain appointment for my husband to get his blood pressure medication renewed. was told that the dr's were booked until March. Asked if the dr would renew a script for bp meds to cover the 2 months he would be without medication until new appointment. Was told that he would just have to wait, dr would not fill. So my husband would just have to wait hoping he doesn't stroke out and die. Worst office staff I have dealt with in a while.

Dr. Charles Smothers has been our family physician for about 3 years. Very caring, thorough, listens well, and I never feel rushed. Her nurse, Candace, also rocks! Highly recommend!

Supposed to be caring for post op issues but after pleading for an appointment Dr was more concerned about his pain needs denying him an appointment- weekend passes as he waited for wound Clinic appointment on Tuesday - nearly a week later & he was immediately taken to emergency room for hospital admission— all because Dr Nugent didn’t want to help his suffering patient-afraid to hive pain relief.

We love Dr Nugent! He is so nice & knowledgeable on any problem we have had. He is such a charming young man. I highly recommend him. The ladies at the front desk are also so friendly & always have a smile.

I started with Dr Smothers after my Dr left the clinic. I was very pleased with her care and the attention she paid to me. Good listener, sympathetic, kind. Felt she knew her stuff, and wasn't one to jump the gun with unnecessary tests, etc. They do give samples too. Her nurse was great at getting my BP, which others have had trouble with. It's a busy office, but she & her nurse got me in when needed. She always knew & used my name. I recommend her, & would still be with her, but moved away.

He is a great doctor. The only real issue is the scheduling personal they have forgotten who the customer is these days. I?m very disappointed in the scheduling dept. and will not be treated this way I will find a new doctor.

Listed as medicare/Medicaid compatible but when I called to make an appointment I was told that they are not...very unfortunate addition of frustration due to this exclusion. If doctors offices aren't willing to see the disabled then they might not have the best intentions, I'd advise looking elsewhere if compassion is a quality you desire from a care provider.
