I have had excellent care with Dr. Brewer. She answers all of my questions and makes me feel at ease during appointments. She has treated my son for asthma and his asthma action plan has been working for him. Her professionalism, knowledge, and her care for kids is abover average.
Seen Dr. Cook twice and both times waited nearly two hours just to be called back. When we were finally seen she seemed very annoyed and rushed. We will be looking for a new doctor.
When our regular doctor was unable to see our newborn doctor on the necessary date we were given an appointment with Dr. Cook. Throughout our visit she was pleasant but often came across as condescending--as if my husband and I had no clue how to care for a newborn despite the fact that this was our second child. She failed to explain a test and then ordered an in home health device without informing us. Needless to say, neither of our children is at that office anymore.
Kind, patient and always comes in with a smile. Had to switch our primary doctor after our last doctor moved and was thankful to have someone just as knowledgeable and kind as my last doctor.
I am very disappointed of her.My daughter had fever ,cough and runny nose, when she checked her first she didnt spend.enough tume checking her ,than she said she is all good,no ear infection, the chest sound good, but next day my daughter had even more fever ,I took her to emergency and sure enough she had infection on both ears
She saw my son in the hospital for asthma. She sent him home way too early, and he ended up at Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago for 2 more days. I have asthma, too, and I knew that she was sending him home too early. He was not stable, and within 2 hours of being back home, he was in distress.
Said my son had Acid Reflux. He was having seizures did not listen and said I was having new dad syndrome.
Dr. Cook was wonderful with my daughters. We've had a rough time finding a good pediatrician until we saw Dr. Cook. She was kind and caring. Took the time to talk to each of my daughters about health and safety.
Spends little time with patient. It's as if she goes through the same checklist in her mind each time of what she had to do to complete the visit. I question some of the care my child has had. Felt as if I was inconveniencing her and taking up her time if I had more than one question.
One plus is that her staff is so sweet and I've never had problems with them but the actual Doctor is what's important when it comes to the care of your child.
Does not seem to care, I felt very rushed with my son. She talked down to me as well. I am a new mom, have a lot of questions. I'm changing pediatricians.
