Menance to life No empathy Interested in $$$$ only Poor listener Works too fast Opinion of cardiac specialist: “...your thoracic anatomy is a twisted, mangled post-surgical cluster.” Time spent? 45 minutes. International standard for full pneumonectomy? 1-2 hours. Addtionally, he BISECTED 9 lymph nodes for biopsy. Gold Standard? RESECT nodes for biopsy. He left my node tissue in a state of necrosis. He has clinical habit of repeatedly looking at wrist-watch illustrating: Rush means rush at Rush.

Dr Liptay's demeanor was exactly what I needed when potentially facing a serious illness. He was calm, informative, direct, and personable. He treated me like gold whether it was an office visit or in the hospital after lung surgery. Top notch!

SLOPPY BECAUSE HE WORKS TOO FAST. Vocal chord damage, placement of chest tube during thoracic surgery (second MD who removed tube openly called it sadistic, painful placement), sent home with inadequate pain management regime over holiday weekend, had to go back into chest three weeks after the surgery to check his own lung stump closure (primary MD insisted because of possible leak), constantly rudely, always looking at his watch, transparently phony bedside manner. Any number of better docs.
