Review of Dr. Laich

- in Chicago |

If I can leave zero stars I would. Made an appt to see dr laich 8 weeks before hand as that was the soonest they can see us. Office calls 12 hours before appt to tell us it’s canceled. I call the office next day and they stated he was going to be out on vacay. Didn’t offer another appt with the other dr and soonest they can see us was 4 weeks again. Miserable will not be seeing a Dr that has zero care for patient time. People are in pain waiting to see drs and this is unacceptable. Avoid !

Review of Dr. Laich

- in So Chicago Hts, IL |

Dr Laich did my artificial disc & fusion in 2009 and I have no lower back pain. He does require his patients to do quite a bit of pre-testing, I would never let a doctor near my spine who just based surgery off of an MRI. Dr. Laich is careful, he’s very knowledgeable about the spine, he’s a thoughtful listener, and he’s a very skilled surgeon. If you need spine surgery trust Dr Laich and his process, you won’t regret it!

Review of Dr. Laich

I had a numb feeling in my leg, he was very helpful and very intelligently diligent. My surgery removed a disk, outpatient, and left a half inch scar. No pain following procedure and no numbness, this man is the best. Go to him and listen to him, these other reviews that are negative are non sense. 60 year old male fully functioning thanks to Dr Laich.....

Review of Dr. Laich

I have to give him a star because of the way this web site is set up. If you want a doctor that does not listen to you. If you want a doctor that ignores every thing you say , and if you want a doctor that demands a ridiculous amount of testing, then this is your guy. Even if you beg him not to do a certain type of operation, he will insist that the insurance company will make him do it. He said it would only hurt for two months. It's two years and two months and it still hurts evert day. Thanks

Review of Dr. Laich

Dr. Laich did my first Microdiscectomy in 2007 which gave me 6 decent years. I was told this was only a temporary fix and another more involved surgery would eventually be needed. In 2014 my symptoms came back again. I saw Dr. Laich and it was now time for the fusion.I saw another surgeon who said a Foraminotomy would fix my issue which Dr. Laich disagreed. I went ahead with the Foraminotomy but zero relief. Dr. Laich Explained it very detailed and was spot on with my pain source very trustwort

Review of Dr. Laich

- in Lowell, IN |

I don't think that a patient should ever leave a doctor's office feeling confused and frustrated and that's exactly what I experienced at Chicago Back Institute with Dr. Laich. After waiting over an hour to see him, he made me feel stupid and acted like he didn't believe me, in spite of positive tests. I found out that he lied to me about a myelogram that I had months earlier that looked "just fine". A Doctor-Patient relationship should be a partnership. Not whatever that was.

Review of Dr. Laich

-Chicago, IL |

Dr. Laich is the worst of specialist doctors. He would have patients think their pain is mostly if not all in their heads. He seemed to suggest that despite years of documented chronic back pain that I could will it away just by thinking about it. In addition he's perfectly happy with making appointments with you only to have to wait at least an hour past your appointment time to see him for 10 minutes or less. He strung me along for months and did nothing to help me.

Had major spinal surgery and fusion in January 2007. Dr. Laiche was professional, highly qualified, responsive and caring. Have had no issues with my back since the procedure!
