Review of Tina Conway

-

I went to Tina Conway to address a GI problem I'd been having. She ordered an endoscopy. My results came back on my online chart, and some seemed abnormal, but I couldn't quite interpret the medical lingo, and no one had written a note explaining what it all meant. I called the digestive health office several times over the course of a few weeks to ask Dr. Conway to interpret the results, as she never contacted me and my follow-up with her wasn't for a few weeks. She never got back to me, despite repeated messages. When I finally had my appointment she was rude and brusque. She didn't adequately explain the results of my test, she said she had no idea what was wrong, and then asked ME how I'd like to proceed and what tests she should order, despite me not being a medical professional. At the end of the visit, she told me that my problems were all probably because I'm overweight (and I'm not overweight according to my BMI, lol). She was condescending, inattentive, and incompetent.

I was hoping to get help for my digestive condition, SIBO. Tina was patronizing and said "So I see you have been here SEVERAL times this year". in fact I had been see in GI once and then was referred back to family practice, who referred me back to GI. When I asked what she knew about SIBO she gave me basic info which was more basic than what I already knew. She stated "we just don't know that much about it." She also asked "so how did you lose the weight?, like she was asking for advice.

Tina is a new PA who doesn't seem to know very much, but also doesn't seem to want to ask for help. He communication skills are extremely poor. I walked out of my visit with her not quite knowing what just happened and in reality, nothing happened. She talked in circles and did not address my issues.
