Very misinformed doctor and unwilling to learn. I keep finding out more all the time about how wrong he was in his medical knowledge. It is unbelievable how wrong he was, and how much confidence he had in saying what he was wrong about. I put way too much confidence in his opinion.

Stay away from this doctor, especially if you are seeking help with MCAS. He tested me for it on my first visit, but he did not understand how to run the tests correctly or how to interpret the results. His mistake derailed my medical care for 3 years. Meanwhile my attacks worsened to the point of interfering with my ability to work, and I repeatedly asked for help, but he dismissed my symptoms and did nothing. I have shown him numerous research papers and publications and patient stories to illustrate diagnostic standards for MCAS, but he ignores it all. I had to insist on additional testing, and the results DO support a diagnosis, but he still denies it as "not likely." It was his idea to begin with. He never established a proper standard of care, then terminated me when I tried to hold him accountable to one. Worst of all he never documented my drug reactions properly, and wanted to prescribe for me without considering dangerous side effects. Dismissive gaslighting and no empathy.

Very rude. Spoke so loudly she coild have been heard all the way up and down the hall violating your privacy as a patient. Told me I was scheduled for only 15 minites and took up too much of her time, although she spent most of that time just talking rather tha allowing me to speak much. In my view she wasted my time not the other way around. She may have prejudiced the doctor against me who changed his attitude towards me after I saw her. I requested to never see this NP again however the doctor basically said I was not allowed to make my own appts anymore and HE would decide when I come back. This practice really has a lot of problems but unfortuately there are no better choices in Athens.

My daughter and I had a terrible visit with Dr. Larry Smith at Allergy Partners in Athens. His communication skills were lacking, which led to a contentious misunderstanding. He took some information, told us they would perform a test, and left the room. My daughter and I had no idea what the test was - what it entailed or what its purpose was. The nurse came in, ready to administer the test, and I kindly requested details - would there be needles? Were there any risks we should consider? The nurse was bothered by my questions, and laughed at us. Moments later, the doctor opened the door and told us there was nothing he could do for us. I calmly explained what our intentions were in coming - I had some Q's about allergies regarding my daughter, and hoped to be educated about the nature of allergies. He became visibly frustrated, and asserted that there was nothing he could do for us if we didn't take the test. He told us to wait, because he had other things to take care of. We left.

My 8-year old son has been a patient of Dr. Hunt's for many years. He has multiple severe food allergies, seasonal allergies and asthma. Dr Hunt is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and incredibly patient. One of the great things about this office is you can get a 5pm appointment, and even when we are there that late, Dr Hunt never makes us feel rushed and answers any questions or concerns that I have. We couldn't ask for a better doctor!

Worst allergist on the planet. Dr Firschein had me pay a boatload of money out of pocket directly to him for a non effective non FDA approved treatment,when my insurance company was willing to pay for the cure the whole time. Dr Firschein is the very definition of a total hack

Well, where do I begin. I was bitten by a tick that possibly infected me where I can't eat red meat. It has taken 4 weeks to set up an appointment. I called the business office to see if I would be able to pay my Co-Pay ($50.00) two days after the appointment. I called 5 days before this appointment to see if they would work with me. Was told "absolutely NOT" if you cant pay when you come. we cant see you!!!! Corporation over patient care.

This doctor is probably the best doctor I have ever come into contact with. The entire office is probably the best office I've ever come into contact with. A few of the words I would use to describe Dr. Firschein would be: highly intelligent, straight to the point, warm, caring, assertive, and determined. Thank you Dr. Firschein for taking such excellent care of our daughter today.

The lady at the front desk is not very considerate & does not communicate well, but Dr. Smith is well worth having to deal with her. The rest of the staff is great. The office itself could use an upgrade. Dr. Smith is knowledgeable, experienced, kind, considerate, & has more of a holistic approach than other doctors. He gets that the environment plays a big role in the allergic response & he will not only prescribe meds, but recommend other options, such as air purification or Vit. B treatmen

I had been sick for 20 years! I had seen dozens and dozens of specialist and was about to give up. In just a few visits (and a lot of testing) I was on the road to recovery! I have a new issue now that 12 other doctors have not seem to fix so I am going back to him this week to see if he can fix that too. He is probably Athens only true HEALER left! I can't say enough as to how grateful I am to have this man as an asset to my health! His assistant Dr. Hunter and his whole staff are GREAT!!!

He is amazing with my disabled son and myself. He is a very common sense Dr.
