Police was called on me because I wanted to get a doctors note requested from my job. The desk manager said I needed to schedule an appointment in order to get a doctors note. Previously, I completed a physical exam and got the reports a week later and called to speak with the doctor. I was told you can’t and that you have to speak with a nurse. The nurse didn’t answer so I left a voice to get a callbacl. Never happened so I went their to get the note and they wanted me to pay for a visit to get that. I refused to pay for a doctors note because I’m not getting a check and then the police was called. I have it all on video ands no arrest were made. As a Black Man being a patient at a Black Doctors Office I was treated beyond unfairly.

I never had a bad experience with Dr. Burgess. She find out the problem and order lab work and get the problem solved.

Dr Burgess assisted me through a critical point in my life. Her knowledge, patience, nurturing and empathy was exactly what I needed during my health scare. I moved to another county and the ride is long but I will travel to keep this God sent woman in my life!

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! I have been a patient with her for years. i retired and dropped one of my insurance coverage. They would not see me until i contacted my other insurance company to inform them I no longer had my other coverage. I told them I had already did that but my word was no good. I had to call and get the person's name and a confirmation number before they could see me. ABSOLUTE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Every time I go there I have NEVER BEEN SEEN ON TIME!! DONT GO HERE!!

I went to Dr. Burgess as a first time patient on 9/8/2016. I had what I thought was a very pleasant office visit. I have hypertension and I informed the dr as well as the nurses stuff that I was completely out of medication. I was told that my prescription would be sent to the pharmacy. I went the following day to pick up my medication only to find that the office failed to send it over. I am now forced to go the entire weekend without necessary meds to treat the silent killer. Negligence

Doctor Burgess' office staff is friendly and efficient. The office facility is clean and well equipped. Dr. Burgess is knowledgeable about internal medicine and also provides a holistic approach in conjunction with traditional medicine. She had a great 'bedside' manner and takes time to greet you and find out how she can help you. She is pleasant, competent and professional. The front office takes care of billing your insurance company and collecting copays.
