Review of Dr. Bashir

-

I saw Dr. Bashir in the Lawrenceville, GA location. Though he is a good doctor, you not only pay for a doctor's visit, but are also charged an additional fee to use the facility! Dr. Bashir charges $161 for an office visit and the facility charges $183!!!!! When I called to ask what the additional charge was for, it took leaving two voicemails before I received a return call (I left a message saying I would not be paying the charge until someone explained the charge to me). The office manager claimed they bring this to any new patients' attention. However, I did not find any such notification within the initial email I received confirming my first appointment. This screams of doubling charging the patients and I don't know how Gwinnett Medical Center is getting away with this practice.

Review of Dr. Kesner

-

This is a follow-up to an earlier review. Dr. Kesner said these exact words to me; "Why don't you just go home and die"! I don't know why. Perhaps it was because I brought 5 typed questions I wanted answers to or because I asked her questions I referenced to Dr. Perlmutter, a neurologist who appears on PBS. I filed a complaint with Ms. Weintraub, a patient advocate for Emory. Ms. Weintraub said that Dr. Kesner related in a letter Ms. Weintraub sent to me that she was "sorry to hear that what s

Review of Dr. Anderson

-

Dr. Anderson is a warm, empathic extremely knowledgeable physician. I met him the day I had a spinal cord stroke and had been devastated by the diagnosis. He entered my room expressing the compassion I needed at the moment and then began laying out a plan of evaluation and management that I sorely needed. It's been 7 years now and he remains my neurologist, concerned and actively promoting my best medical care.

Review of Dr. Wichmann

-

The first appointment I took my mom to was great. After taking a new prescribed medication for several weeks, the effects were not working as well. I called and left messages 3 different times. I was told that I would receive a return phone call within 48 hours. Never heard from anyone. I didn't care that I spoke with the physician directly, but some response from anyone at their office would have been nice. This doesn't reflect that the Emory Clinic is concerned about you as a patient.

Review of Dr. Lava

- in Phenix City, AL |

This man has done nothing for me but waste my time and defraud Medicaid by collecting payments. Heralded as an "expert", I have yet to see any of his institutional knowledge put to use. This man issued a prescription to me based on the results of 4 months old data. The pharmacy FORTUNATELY DID NOT FILL IT BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TOXIC. After some due diligence I have made some interesting discoveries. Next stop the civil rights division of the Department of Health and Human Services. AVOID!

Review of Dr. Kesner

- in Winter Springs FL |

I visited Dr Kesner in extreme neurologic pain . It was the first time I had an appointment with her. She ordered a whole bunch of tests immediately. She listened carefully to all that I said and how I moved etc. At the end of the day we had a diagnosis proven by biopsies. She is EXCEPTIONAL!!!I have had extensive tests and visits with specialists [Mayo,Cleveland Clinics etc] and She BY FAR exceeded any other doctors I have seen for my rare diseases!

Review of Dr. Lava

- in Atlanta, GA |

I see Dr. Neil Lava for my RRMS. Out of the 4 Neurologists I've seen he has listened to my concerns and promptly set up therapies which have helped immensely. He is top notch at Emory and I'm so glad I found him a few years ago. He also referred me to a Rheumatologist who diagnosed my Systemic Scleroderma. I am so appreciative of his care.

Review of Dr. Lava

- in Cumming, GA |

Excellent bedside manner including phenomenal sense of humor which I have needed on more than one occasion dealing with trigeminal neuralgia. He has also directed me more than once to providers to help me with other health conditions he has helped diagnose. I consider him a first rate advisor and wouldn't trade him for anyone!

Review of Dr. Esper

-

I have never had such an unbelievably horrible experience as I had with Dr. Esper. His staff was totally rude. I will spread the word to anyone who will listen, and warn them against going there. This experience was so bad, that after several years I have quit Emory, and have changed my doctors to Piedmont and Northside.

I would NOT recommend this doctor. I went to see him and he would not listen to me. He did not give me a diagnosis nor a treatment plan. Terrible experience!!!
