I had a cementless partial knee implant put in October 2021. This was the recommended device by Dr. Palumbo. Well….I really had healing issue. Infection six weeks after that took weeks to get rid of. I obtained full range of motion early on but continued to have inflammation and swelling. I never saw Dr. Palumbo post op the first 5 months. I only saw his nurse practitioner who really blew me off and discharged me after 5 months. I decided to go to a PA in Palumbo’s office. He immediately felt there was a problem. Finally six months later I got in to see Palumbo. I was told he figured out the device he put in was not so good and he was no longer putting them in.He told me he had 3 other failures like me. Palumbo felt there was no need to do Ct scans or MRIs. He would just put in a cemented implant. I decided to get a second opinion. New doc feels I need a total knee from damage from loose fitting implant. Now getting 3rd opinion.

Great staff. Initially I was impressed with the time efficiency of my visit. But, then, I received a bill as if the doctor had spent 45 minutes with me, instead of 5 min. And because I signed a paper confirming he explained some stuff that he didn’t, so that was enough to proof a fake time face to face with the patient. The billing department was rude when called questioning it and nobody cared for this overcharge. For that reason I can’t trust this doctor or this place anymore.

Dr. Palumbo performed my right knee arthroplasty last year. He is smart, caring, and an excellent orthopedic surgeon. He has a marvelous bedside manner with a profound eagerness for helping others. My and my family's thanks and recommendations are unending.

Doctor Baker and his entire Staff is awesome! I scheduled an appointment early so I could get to work on time. Staff Member greeted me just as scheduled, X-ray’s, the PA spoke with me and Doctor Chris promptly attended to my needs and I was on my way! No one rushed me and took ample and sincere time with me. I left with relief and a plan of action that provided peace and confidence for expediency of healing. Had plenty of time to report to work feeling relieved.

FOI Staff - 10/10 Dr Nydick: Timeliness - 10/10, Personality - 2/10, Bedside manner - 2/10, Q&A - 2/10, Surgical Outcome 7/10. Went to Dr. Nydick because of FOI’s reputation. If you want a slow blinking, impersonal and impatient Dr with little eye contact, this one for you.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Palumbo and his staff. He is very kind and caring, listens and offers honest and realistic answers and solutions to your issues. If it weren't for him, I would be waiting for years for my hip replacement surgery. He brought the Operation Walk program to Florida, and I was lucky enough to qualify. I do, and will continue to recommend him to anyone who needs orthopedic care.

I can`t recommend Dr. Palumbo enough. My hip and pelvis were a painful mess from receiving cancer treatment in my late teens. I needed a total hip replacement in my early 20s. It had to be revised several times (5) over the years because of the poor quality of my bone causing components to fail. I was told by my Mass surgeon, years ago, that because of so much bone loss, there wasn't much they could do so I just lived with the pain. Now, i am in my 50's & live in FL. I saw a doc at a different practice in FL for a pelvic fracture last year (that didn't require surgery), but increased my hip pain dramatically. He said he wouldn't attempt surgery on my left hip & didn't know anyone who would. It was getting harder & harder to do normal everyday things so my activity level dropped & my need for pain medicine increased. I saw Dr. Palumbo who took on my complex case & created a custom hip & pelvis for me. I am 5 months post-op, have zero pain in that hip & back to living!

Dr. Baker took a very complicated left shoulder situation that I suffered with for 11 years & worked a miracle. His reconstruction surgery with reverse joint replacement was truly amazing. On average pain was 6-7 level before surgery. 10 weeks after surgery I’m at 0-1 pain level. Range of motion best it’s been since 2009. Overall, the shoulder functionality & significantly reduced pain level since 2008. His approach is excellent. I was well Informed every step of the process. I knew the pros/cons of having surgery. His level of care was outstanding. His staff deserves accolades as well. Excellent. My heartfelt thanks. My life has been given back to me to enjoy my previous sports/hobbies.

Dr Palumbo, Erica, and staff are simply the best at what they do. From the initial consultation, through surgery and post op meetings, I could not be more pleased with their work. Amazed at how fast I am recovering from both left and right knee replacements and scars already fading. Highly recommend!

I want to thank Dr. Baker for making my shoulder worse than it was before he performed surgery on me. I want to Thank him for lying to me when he said he was my doctor and would make me better. Great! Surgeon, Great bedside manner, listens and seems to really care. Doesn't rush you. You won't regret seeing him for your orthopedic needs.

Nothing worse than a practitioner that does not take the time to listen and speak with a patient. Arrogance in this way causes mistakes and negative outcomes for the patient but exacerbated when documentation is false after an adverse event. Do no harm should always be at the center of care.

I went to Dr. Baker for a torn rotator cuff. From my initial meeting to surgery to my follow up appointment after my surgery, I couldn't be more satisfied. He explained everything regarding my injury, surgery and answered all my questions. Alleviated all of my worries and made me feel comfortable. All around great doctor. He's a wonderfully skilled surgeon who has a great bedside manner. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of my surgery, he's one of the best doctors I've had in years. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Palumbo performed a left knee replacement for me in July, 2021. I traveled from Sarasota to have him operate because of his stellar credentials and the ease of working with his staff right from first contact. The knee surgery was and is a complete success and I healed and regained my full flexibility so fast that my physical therapists were stunned. His staff of assistants were both responsive and thorough, arranging my post-op care with ease. What a satisfying surgical experience!

Had total replacement of my left knee in July of 2020. Middle of August I'm ready to go back to my very physical job of railroad work. Heavy repairs, lifting, cutting, welding etc. I had to travel over an hour to get to this doctor because no other doctor in my area would do the surgery. This doctor said he would on the first visit and that he even fixes other doctor's screw ups. The only thing he needs to work on is his appointment keeping. Be prepared for him to be at least an hour behind appointment times. This happened to me regularly for my visits. If you have a 10 am appointment, don't expect to get into the office until after 11am....other than that I highly recommend him.

Doctor was thorough, professional and even fought for me in the operating room. Felt completely taken care of by him and staff, called me after hours at home to check I got my prescription. Would totally recommend.

I was fortunate to have Dr Palumbo to do my knee replacement and it was perfect. His instructions, guidelines made me easy to recover fast. His staff is very co-operative and efficient and follow-ups are pretty easy. Dr Palumbo is one of the best orthopedic surgeons and I highly recommend for knee replacements. He is pleasant and have lot of patience to answer my concerns. I felt my knee was in good hands.

One year after knee surgery, I feel worse than when I got there. I should've listened to my wife and seek a second opinion before surgery. Dr Baker is completely uncaring. Does not answer patients questions or concerns, he wants to see you for one minute and just grab that insurance money. Once the deductible was exhausted, I was kicked out of that practice. Guy is everything that is wrong with healthcare in US. One year later, still have knee swelling, can't run. Just an awful experience.

Dr. Baker was very informative and professional. His staff was the best group I have ever received treatment from. All of them were kind, considerate, and very knowledgeable. His P.A. Emily, was very prompt in returning calls, as was Ashley Kimmel. In my opinion Ashley, administrative assistant, makes the practice run as efficiently as possible, and should be given a raise in salary!
