Review of Dr. Loy

Don t go him! He does not review your chart Does not address your medical concernsv Does not answer any calls or follows up. The staff especially the receptionist very rude. Always with a bad attitude. They don t rely your messages to him. The medical assistant who calls herself a nurse, call you only once with the lab results and give you medical advise without consulting with him. When I asked her, has you shown the lab results to him. She said no, but I looked at them. Unprofessional!

Second time in 5 years. 1st time, he prescribed wrong dosage, he doubled the dosage per day; didn't realize until Publix Pharmacist alerted us one month later. 2nd time, he prescribed a new medicine but forgot to remove the old prescription. Taken both medicines for a few months until the nurse called and "blamed" patient's wife for not notice it earlier... Both time no doctor or nurse call to apologize, to explain the mistakes, and talk about the possible side effects for taking too much.

I am a retired teacher and have been a patient of Dr. Juan Loy for 15 years. Dr. Loy has saved my life three times and his thoroughness has allowed me to avoid many close calls. If you listen to and follow his advice, you will live to enjoy a long and happy life. I give him my highest regard and respect!

I began seeing Dr. Loy in January of this year, and I really do like him. He is very knowledgeable, and excellent in providing you with the information pertaining to any symptoms you may be experiencing. The lower star rating stems from his office staff, who are extremely rude and unorganized. The office space itself doesn't seem to be adequate, and the main deal breaker for me is that they require your copay to be cash only. I was billed for my copay after I paid in cash at my last visit.

Wait time was over 2 hours. Last time I called with a question the nurse was nasty, so I decided it was time to find a new doctor.

This place is HORRIBLE. I had a 3:45pm appointment. The nurse called me in at 3:50. She checked my vitals and temp. I was sitting in the exam room for 1/2 and didn't see the doctor. I walked outside and informed the staff that I have been waiting for 1/2 hour. She didn't even know what I was in the office for. I told her it's for a follow up. She went over the blood work result for 60 seconds and said "that's your copy, if you paid a copay you can get it back." No customer service. Horrible.

Dr. Loy has been my primary doctor for over 15 years. All these years he has been an excellent doctor with good diagnosis and sound advice. He never hesitated performing all tests needed to confirm diagnosis, or to refer to specialists when needed. He listens with care and gives his patients all the needed attention. Even when I moved to Wellington I kept him as my primary doctor. Wait time may vary, but still a good trade off to be seen by a good doctor you can trust.
