Review of Dr. Stucken

-

I saw Dr. Stucken soon after a fall injuring my knees, elbow & shoulder. Day of my appointment he walked in with 2 female students that in my opinion was a distraction to my care. I came in to see him for injuries on different body parts and he only wanted to focus on one, ignoring my complaint of the elbow and shoulder. I scheduled to see him again due to the swelling and pain of my elbow and shoulder. He examined my arm, stepped back, folded arms and a cold stare, said since my x-ray didn’t show broken bones there was nothing he can do ,to just give it time. I disagreed leaving his office feeling like he didn’t care. My pain and swelling persisted so I sought a different doctor who ordered an MRI resulting in a hairline elbow fracture, ligament tear of the elbow, sprain to the shoulder, in need physical therapy. My current Orthopedic Specialist questioned why I had waited this long for treatment. I do not recommend Dr. Stucken based on my experience with his misdiagnosis.

Had to have shoulder replacement surgery, I could hardly even walk! I'm four months later and haven't stopped smiling because I am pain free now. He'll answer any questions so no matter how dumb you might think it is ask anyways. I'm going to need knee replacement and I know the doctor I'm going to .dr Stucken across from Bethesda east, S. Seacrest

Great doc! I tore my ACL playing basketball last year. He fixed my ACL and meniscus, great rehab. I'm back to sports. Doc promised me that if I got back to running he would do a race with me. We are running a half-marathon together in november. Overall great doc and quality person.

I was referred to Dr. Stucken through my former job to get a second opinion because my primary orthopedist recommended a 2nd opionion and knee surgery. I wish I could find one positive thing to write about this “doctor.” He was unprofessional to the point to where he told me to lose 200 pounds (which would leave me Anorexic) by not eating. (Not eating healthy; Not Eating period.). Shocked, I asked HOW I would go about eating nothing and he mentioned Bariatric surgery (which I’ve already had).

Dr. Stucken did my arthroscopic shoulder surgery and he is amazing! Before surgery my shoulder was dislocating. Now it is stable, back to wakeboarding, surfing, lifting weights... Everyone in the practice was great. Dr. Stucken really wanted to get me back to playing sports again. I feel 100% confident in the doctor. Again, great practice and amazing surgeon.

I had a large tear in my rotator cuff. I had pain in the arm and could not sleep at night. I was referred to Dr. Stucken by a friend. He was able to see me within one week. He spent considerable time with me, explaining my problem and describing the possible treatment options. He was knowledgeable and easy to talk to. After trying physical therapy, medications, and an injection I decided on surgery. It has now been 4 months since surgery, I am doing great. I have no pain and normal strength.
