Absolutely without a doubt THE worst doctor office I have ever dealt with. Two separate visits over hour long wait at one and nearly two hours at the other to spend a total of 3-5 minutes with the doctor and be rattled off info so quickly I didn’t even have chance to ask questions. Given incorrect instructions for my post visit which meant my prescription was never called in. The person doing his dictation wasn’t even in the room so she admitted she “assumed” the follow up and completely missed that he wanted a script called in, not just over the counter saline wash. Then I get the ointment and it is labeled not for intranasal use which is precisely how I was instructed to apply. Maybe this is not an issue as they assured me but after the total disorganization I have zero faith. I was so compelled to write because there are many elderly patients who many not have been as aware as myself and missing notes and poor dictation has real consequences. Please find another practice.

It wasn't good. He wants so desperately for my thyroid nodules to not be an issue he's completely dismissing me and my concerns. I feel like the doctor/patient relationship has shifted from a mutual partnership to him wanting to be right. When the nurse says that he's going to tell you none of your symptoms are related to your thyroid BEFORE he even comes in to see you, it's time to go elsewhere. Also, he did a scope up my nose/down my throat without warning me that's what he was going to do. I will not return to that practice. I will say that the office personnel is outstanding. Very nice and helpful women.

He is very arrogant and does not listen. I had lost my septum due to a surgical trauma when in the service. He agreed at first but then changed his mind and said it was due to sniffing drugs which I never have and nose picking. It was for a very important case. I don't know why he changed his mind, as the first diagnosis was the truth. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Dr. Hockstein is and continues to be very knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. He did an excellent job with the surgery and the ongoing recovery process of my husband. Went out of his way to meet the challenging demands my husband presented with. He took the time to answer all our questions. Love this doctor and would highly recommend him I see some comments indicating that because they were black, well we're black and that did not make one iota of a difference. The care and treatment was exceptional. Thank you Dr. Hockstein.

It was horrible. I saw his 2 times. Never go to him He knows nothing about migraine sinus head aches. I 3rd visit was a nightmare. He actually refused to see me and examine me. Said I had failed at every treatment. Did not do any exam or xrays. I left the office crying. The office assistant saw me. He just does not care. Terrible . I would never go back . I went back to my neurologist. Do not waste your money.

I was recommended to this doctor by my Primary (mind you not in my network) however; it was a waste of $150.00; very condescending; even told me I don't know how to rinse my mouth out properly (LOL) I too assume I would've been treated better had I been of another nationality and not a BLACK FEMALE. Thank Goodness for other ENT's in New Castle Co...

Pre op visit.. He patiently answered ALL my questions.

He was a bit dismissive and intentionally condescending. Bedside manner wasn’t great. I of course assume I’d be treated differently and with more respect, (regardless of whether the practice had a viable solution to my illness) if I wasn’t a black female. Who knows though? Sigh.

My experience with Dr. Hockstein has always been very good. He is very caring. Only a couple of times because of time he rushed through the appointment. He is thorough with his diagnosis and he answers my questions. I have been with him 13 years.

I have been extremely happy with my care under Dr. Sheppard. He gladly answers all questions that I have and has personally returned phone calls when I Dr. Shephave has called me personally when I have had an issue with insurance and medicines covered. Another plus after sinus surgery with complications, my insurance did not want to cover certain things. Dr. Sheppard told me to give him all of my insurance reject notices and he would personally call them and settle the issues. He did!!!

I accompanied my friend to a consultation visit with Dr. Hockstein. We found him informative, compassionate, and professional. He answered all our questions thoroughly and explained the surgery in great detail. I have been a nurse for many years and recommend this surgery highly. My friend has chosen Dr. Hockstein to perform her upcoming facial surgery.

This man is an excellent doctor. He is smart, caring and very professional. The staff at Limestone medical is very friendly. I have been a patient of dr Hockstein for 6 years and I recommend him highly. The negative comments concerning this Dr are very surprising to me. Arrogant, really? Not the Dr Hockstein I know. Perhaps some people are looking for a pat on the head, I don't know .

Dr. Hockstein is an excellent doctor and surgeon. I cannot say enough good things about him. Truly a caring doctor who is sensitive to the patient’s needs.

Dr. Sheppard is an outstanding physician who cares about his patients.

Dr. Hockstein is fantastic - great Doctor and great personality. Great to work with

His surgery staff let me go home after performing sinus surgery even after I could not urinate. I could not urinate at home and had to go to a medical clinic where they removed 1100 cc of urine. Hockstein took no responsibility and said it was just a bump in the road. I was home for 2 weeks when I should have only missed a few days. Doc Is arrogant, obnoxious and acts like he can walk on water. I would never recommend this man to anyone.

Phenomenal surgeon. My husband had a right tongue base cancer with a positive lymph node. In 2005, Dr. Hockstein was a principal investigator in the development of TORS procedure. He was very instrumental in development of this now standard of care. A minimally invasive surgical technique for the treatment of base of tongue neoplasms using the optical and technical advantages of robotic surgical instrumentation. He knew my husbands mouth was to small for the use of the robot, but he did it!!!!

Dr. Hockstein is great. I am very surprised by all of the negative reviews. Yes, the wait time can be a little long sometimes. But that is something you have to deal with if you want to see an exceptional doctor. He is friendly and very knowledgable. He clearly knows his stuff. He is more than willing to answer questions and he wants the best for the patient. I've been to him at least 10 times and he performed my sinus surgery. Overall, he's a great doctor and I would definitely recommend him.
