ZERO STARS: Dr Adler walked in, did not introduce herself, and said she did not know why the office had scheduled a new patient appointment since she was leaving for a sabbatical the next day. She then asked me, "What do you want?" I was stunned but managed to say why I was there. She walked back out. Less than 60 seconds had transpired. I was given a lab work order and sent away. Lab work + Unprofessional "Office Visit" totaled nearly $1000 billed to insurance.
Thorough, compassionate and takes time to explain and discuss condition and options.
Highly recommend Dr Abell !! Outstanding surgical skils; wonderful and caring person.
I went to Adler at the recommendation of my primary care physician. She did an evaluation and sent me to get an ultrsound. It was months before I heard what the outcome was. It took the primary care doctor contacting her before I found out I had leasions on my thyroid. Adler called to apologize but I did not have faith in her care afterwards.
Dr. Ais the most patient-centric I have ever been treated by. I was taken by ambulance to ER directly from internists office with low oxygen saturation coughing up blood. I was lucky that Dr. Ahari was on ER. The first interaction I had with him was, while med tech staff was working me up with electrodes etc., I said to my wife I hadn't eaten anything and was hungry. Dr. A overheard, and when he saw me for the first time he gave me a sandwich. Wish I had more characters to discuss Dr. A.
Followed my case without being retained to find cause of recurring atypical pneumonias. After initial consult with another doctor, I retained Dr. Ahari who recommended bronchoscopy when other pulmonologist rejected that procedure as unnecessary, and due to Dr. Ahari's persistence, it was done promptly and with full explanation of the risks. He found a surprising rare lesion causing the pneumonia. Was not detectable by prior ct scan so bronchoscopy was the best procedure to identify the cause.
Dr. Boinest is both efficient and personal in her approach. She takes the time to answer questions and offer helpful suggestions. I am new to the area and very pleased with my choice of primary care doctor.
I lost 140 LBS after my gastric bypass surgery. Dr. Brody and staff are very professional and supportive. The level of care and advise to manage my weight loss over the past three years has been extraordinary.
I have been seeing Dr. Borum for over 20 years and she has the best bedside manner you can ask for she takes the time to explain what she is doing and what is best for you. I highly recommend her can find any better in the area.
Dr. Carlson had me at our first meeting 20 years ago I can't put in words what my doctor mean to me, she is pleasant, listened to me,my pressure is up when I get there after we talk I am very comfortable, her concern for me physical and mental after 20 years , there is nobody like her, she is not just my primary doctor she follow up on whoevere I see, we talk .I mean she has always been there for me, not just by appointment but whenever I need her,I could go on and on. DR. L. CARLSON IS #1.
She is a caring, thorough doctor who takes her time to listen to her patients. Love my doc!
Dr.Boinest is the best I love her she is very professional in what she do she is very caring and concern about my health she takes the time she needs to make sure all of my medical needs are taken care.I am a new patient of her and I take her to be my doctor for life I am a 58 year woman. I feel like I have know her for years because she is like that.THE BEST DR.
Experience was awful! Upon check in, they had me down for total knee replacement--of my good knee! Came for upper & lower GI tests. When being prepped, no record for the upper GI work, my main reason for coming. Doc came in on the cell phone; I wanted to ensure she knew to do upper GI, but when she got off, given anesthesia b4 I could speak. After receiving results, called for explanation. Doc admitted she did not read my records b4 performing tests, so she did not do upper GI work.
Michael is an excellent Endocrinologist. He reads a lot and is very updated about the new development in the field. The best part is his treatment plan - he never over prescribes the medication. He spends a lot of time - listening, probing and giving his advice.
She was not a very good listener - she didn't read my intake form or listen when I explained things to her, she only responded with advice irrelevant to my situation. Will not return to her.
Dr. Irani is a very nice guy, but at my last appointment with him I saw him for about 2 minutes--he sent in some guy instead who didn't introduce himself and was pretty rude. I switched doctors. Also, going to Sibley Hospital is very inconvenient for me.
Very by the book - isn't particularly open to working with patient to truly figure out the best course of medication and treatment. If patient blood tests say normal, even if patient has listed out why s/he doesn't feel normal, then patient is out of luck and is shooed out of the door with a reminder for another appointment.
I didn't feel that Dr. Irani gave my symptoms and pain the attention that they deserved. I was not in pain at the time of the visit, and I felt that this dictated his view of the pain that I encountered at any time of the day. He ordered tests to rule out pancreatic issues, but took two weeks to give me the results. During those two weeks, I called his office twice, cell once, and emailed him. If you want a doctor who is going to take you seriously, Dr. Irani is not that person.
Just had a colonoscopy today by Dr Irani and the whole experience could not have been better. From the time I walked in to the hospital to the time I left it was perfect.
When another IVF doctor told me I couldn't get pregnant with my own eggs, I turned to Dr.Frankfurter. I now have a perfectly healthy, walking one year old. My only regret is he was not the first call I made. I would not have my baby girl without him and his staff.
Dr. Frankfurter is amazingly thorough in his approach with a great bedside manner. The clinic is well run and the staff makes you feel like family.
Dr. Gandhi is very knowledgeable and professional. She takes her time to understand your concerns and very good with following up. Highly recommend.
Oh very careful. Dr. Frank never listened to a word I said. At the end of my first and last visit. She said " get a botox shot between the eyes take vitamin B and go to the gym " what a quack do your research.
I visited this Dr one time for a prescription refill. And had the have my heart stopped and started by Paramedics because she would not listen to me when I told her I was allergic to the genetic brand of the medicine that I have been on. It has been a stressful and degrading experience dealing with her and her superior Dr. Cohen. They do not want to take any responsibility for there actions. This is health care ? And I am a health care provider my self. Absolutely horrible experience.
Approximately for months ago I made an appointment to see Dr Julia Frank. I told her I was Allergic to a generic medicine And she did not listen to me ! She said she never heard of such a thing. I pleaded with her and she prescribed it to me. Reluctantly!! I got on the medicine. On week after being on the medicine I felt heart pains and nausea. Paramedics were called to restart my heart. I survived. I spoke with her after the major event and she denied it. BEWARE DON'T SEE different Dr a must.
Very professional, thorough in explaining process and procedure. Whole team very pleasant and helpful
I read about Dr. Aurora's expertise and after meeting him during my consultation, I was certain he was the doctor I wanted to perform my surgery, no matter how far I had to travel. He took his time to explain the process, and his staff was very helpful and kind. The results post surgery had exceeded my expectations and I'll always be grateful of his care on my behalf .
Dr. Arora and his staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. Dr.Arora listens and found a solution to help me deal with a problem that had plagued me for years.
The process from start to finish could not have been smoother. Dr. Arora and his staff do an excellent job of not only exceptional care, but in educating you through the process so that you are always confident in what they are doing and why they are doing. Post-op has been a breeze and the physical benefits of fixing a valve issue in my greater saphenous vein have been beyond any expectation I could have held. I will absolutely recommend Dr. Arora and his team to others, and already have!
I wholeheartedly and gratefully recommend Dr. Arora. He provides excellent care and consistently demonstrates total consideration of his patients. He is accessible to answer all questions and concerns, even on nights and weekends. And you feel certain as a patient that your well-being is his top priority. In addition, he has excellent nursing assistants, his office is efficient and impeccable, and his location is easily accessible, with on-site parking. The VERY BEST possible medical experience!
Dr. Arora and his team, including nurses Tiffany Martinez and Lauren Turner, were excellent when I came in with varicose veins in both legs and needed laser ablation and phlebectomy. To a person they were patient, good listeners, and clear communicators. Their bedside manner was excellent. I've had numerous interactions with orthopedists due to shoulder injuries, which of course are different from vascular stuff, but this team stands out compared to specialist care I've received before.
Another department at GWU had given me the wrong address for Dr Bayat's office, which caused me to be about 15 minutes late for my appointment. As such, Dr. Bayat refused to see me and offered a rescheduled appointment a month away. I realize that my being late, though no fault of my own, could inconvenience other patients but absolutely no attempt was made to work me in. I cancelled the appointment and found another neurologist.
Very professional, very friendly, great rsults
Dr. Arora is a wonderful doctor. He is very caring and takes a lot of time to explain the procedure and answer all of your questions. He doesn't rush through appointments and is very nice to deal with at all times. I would highly recommend him.
I have been a patient of Dr. Arora's over 2 years. His professional and personable manner are outstanding. His ability to translate the medical terminology to a layman is always welcoming. I recently had vein laser treatment and some vein stripping. I had tons of questions both pre and post-op. Dr. Arora and his staff (Tiffany, Lauren and Lakisha) showed compassion and brought me through the procedure and addressed my concerns. They are a wonderful team of professionals. Bravo!!!
I highly recommend Dr. Arora. He is very knowledgeable and skilled. Dr. Arora and his team are all very courteous and pleasant. They have a nice office that appears new and is very clean.
My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Baratz for as long as she has been working to medical faculty associates. She has been a responsible doctor, follows up issues, works to coordinate care among specialists. is easy to reach personally when circumstances demand. I routinely recommend her to others, although she normally is not in a position to take new patients
Dr. Baratz is a compassionate physician who listens to patient concerns. She explains medical conditions very well and makes appropriate treatment recommendations. She faithfully follows my medical conditions and is very good at ensuring that appropriate testing and timely follow-ups are completed.
I recommend Dr. Andrawis for his honesty. He is extremely knowledgeable and he really cares about your well-being! He uses every possible way to reduce risk. He is one of the few doctors that HELP; not just in it for the cash.
Strucken by the light
Amazing surgeon. Made my shoulder better when he replaced my shoulder for severe arthritis. Many years of pain is now gone. Very professional. Loved my stay at Virginia hospital Center
Dr. Gutierrez is argumentative, defensive, poor communicator, technologically challenged, incomplete note entries on chart, easily confused.. Neglected to get back to me about a condition though he said he had. Cell Phones don't lie. Fired him!
He is a wonderful physician and I'm so grateful to be in his care. He is very caring and knowledgeable. The physicians working with him are also very good and I enjoy every visit even though I'm usually sick and having difficulty breathing!
I have been a patient in Dr. Greenlee's office for several years. Dr. Greenlee has on multiple occasions responded promptly to my urgent, non-office hours requests relative to some unexpected and painful episodes of gout in my feet and knee. His prompt, personal responses and recommendations have provided much-needed relief even when I have been on travel. He had all the personal information on hand to make precise, timely recommendations. Consistently delivers excellent medical services.
I was an international patient and this was one of the few doctors willing to accept to see me in the advanced stages of my pregnancy. Dr DeSouza was a great doctor to me being a first time mum I had lots of questions which he always took his time to explain. He was kind and cared for both my wellbeing as well as the baby's when she was born. If I was to get another child I wouldn't hesitate to have him as my doctor again.
I love Dr Khurana. She listens to me and explains everything with patience. She has great judgement and knowledge.
I had surgery with dr joshi on oct 13 for acinic cell carcinoma which is cancer of the saliva gland. When i first met Dr Joshi in his reston office i was impressed and felt at ease the minute he started talking to him about the procedure. On Oct 13 Dr Joshi was nice to me and my family. I met some of the wonderful ent staff and they are all first class and extremely nice. After my surgery Dr Joshi took the time and found my family and explained the procedure. Dr Joshi is a true professional
My Name Is "John P Davall",And I Had Surgery On My Salivary Gland To Remove A Cancer Tumor... And I Promise You..."DR.JOSHI WAS THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD!" THERE'S NOT A BETTER E.N.T. SURGEON IN THE D.M.V.
Dr Khurana has been my doctor for over 10 years. She is very caring, compassionate, knowledgeable. She has excellent bedside manner. I highly recommend her!
I just had a salivary stone removed by Dr. Joshi and would highly recommend him. His knowledge of the anatomy of the gland, his expertise in less invasive, effective removal of the stone, his time and explanation of the procedure, and his compassion made me feel completely at ease and confident in my choice of selecting him as the surgeon for my procedure. I didn't even need the pain medicine after the surgery and am recovering well.
Terrible bedside manner. Seemed annoyed that I asked questions. Was very rushed and didn't really listen to my concerns. I will not be coming back.
Dr. Curiel is one of the most knowledgeable and caring doctors I have ever had the good fortune to come into contact with. My son has a very rare autoimmune disease. Dr. Curiel follow his care up every step of the way, systematically eliminating things until he came up with a diagnosis. Other doctors took the easy way out, giving a vague diagnosis. Dr. Curiel pushed forward until we got a firm diagnosis that made sense and a treatment that was working. I owe my son's life to this doctor.
Terrific doctor. Worked through my symptoms with me, interpreted them carefully, and provided sound treatment. I recommend him highly.
Zero stars. Has very poor bedside manner and I refuse to see him again. He examined me silently through most of my appointment, grabbed at my limbs without explaining what he was checking for, and in general treated me as an inconvenience. Additionally, he put in the wrong (urgent) prescription for me and didn't bother to fix it before a long weekend. I had to spend the weekend without the medication because of his error and inaction.
I was notified on an appt scheduled for 12/12, asking me to confirm. There was nothing on the form that allowed me to cancel or postpone. It didn't even give me a contact # where I could call to cancel. I looked up the # and tried to call Dr. Cohen's office. A recording said the message box was full and could not record any message from me. I am 67 years old and NEVER have I got such a message from any Dr. office. Not a good sign! My experience leaves me lacking in confidence.
Dr. Chin does pain management medications for me for a chronic pain condition. Ive been seeing her for years, and she's been great working with me to test different medications until we had a good fit, and always providing information on other options such as doing nerve blocks. I would happily recommend her.
I have never experienced a doctor who takes his/her time listening to the patient and answering question and shows a genuine interest! I explained to her during my first visit with her, that my previous Dr. would not listen to my complaints about my health care and treatments. She promised she would listen to me and so far she has. Dr. Cioletti is a joy!
She barely makes eye contact and doesn't ask questions.
Dr. Zapanta is extremely helpful and do ever he can do to make sure you are comfortable. He's very caring friendly and the staff is great as well
Dr. Zarkowsky is an exceptionally patient, understanding doctor with wonderful bedside manner. He brought great comfort to a stressful time.
Back surgery is problematic. Dr. Yu’s fusion of L-3 to S-1 in February 2014 resulted in elimination of sciatic pain but left me with extensive back pain that makes it difficult to walk without a walker for more than 50 yards or so. I have tried every pain management/reduction process. My condition has worsened some. Immediately after the surgery, I lost feeling in my toes and fingers. The diagnosis is that my spinal column was damaged when anesthesia was administered.
I was recommended to Dr. Yu by my pain specialist. He was an excellent choice. At first, he was a bit standoffish, but I swear it's the suburban office that he uses on one day of the week that he's not crazy about. Or the commute. At any rate, we found him personable, more than qualified and excellent. I am feeling 1000% better after the surgery and I trust his advice going forward (three weeks out from surgery).
Dr.Yu was very direct and confident in what was happening to me. I was in debilitating pain. My L5 disc had fragmented and was pressing on my nerves. I went to Dr.Yu on a recommendation of another doctor. I was able to get an appt within a few days. As soon as I was able to see Dr. Yu and he was able to go over my MRI he put me in to have surgery the next day. He was very direct and I appreciated him talking to directly to me and my husband. I felt confident that he was going to relieve the pain
Dr.Gary Simon is a dedicated practicioner and researcher in the area of infectious diseases, particularly hiv/aids. He diagnosed my infection with this virus 6 years ago with a CD4 count of 330 and a viral load of 450,000. Today thru his practice, treatment and prescription of state of the art medications my CD4 count is 1179 and my viral load is clinically undetectable. He is one of the premier physicians in the world and I recommend him with the highest gratitude and praise.
Dr. Singh is great. Lots of information given at each appointment. He is up to date on the lastest techoglies and techniques.
His diagnosis was quick and totally wrong. I was back in the ER within days with sever infection that could have been prevented.
Very good clinician. and careful diagnostic approach. Knowledgeable about all types of infectious disease.mmvery clear explanations of care and medications.
I have been a patient of Dr. Miller's for about 6-7 years. In my close to 80 years, I have been treated by many physicians. Dr Miller, my Internist, is the best by far. First, he listens and hears. The interaction is a dialogue. Our relationship can be seen as a "team". He understands that I am capable of understanding the issues pertaining to my physical health and takes care to explain. He sees me as a whole person, not as a series of symptoms. I know I will be well taken care of
My experiences have been limited but always positive. Dr. Miller spends time with me and asks questions. I have been lucky with no real health issues but when they inevitably arrive, I trust Dr. Miller's judgement.
Saw Dr. Miller today. I have nothing but great things to say about him and his staff. He listens and has excellent communication skills. He is also very knowledgeable. Denise Lowe
I regard Dr. Gary Miller as a first rate physician. He is knowledgeable and responsive. He listens well, has great judgment, and is concerned clearly with the objective and subjective well being of his patients.
He enjoys putting the pieces of the puzzle of ones health together to get a complete picture. His manner encourages dialogue and questions.
Curtesy, doesn't lose patience, attentive to health needs and issues, and a good listener.
Dr. Mercader was very responsive to my emergency situation, in which I needed an ICD. And over the last 6 years he has more than met my needs as my physician. He answers my questions and provides reassurance when I need it. Recently, he went well above the call of duty when I needed a procedure in gynecology that involved electrocautery. He came to my aid within a few minutes, and stayed with me throughout the procedure. He was calm and reassuring. He is a cardiologist with a real heart!
I had a great experience with Dr. Monfared and his staff. They answered all of my questions and told me what to expect with my up and coming Surgery.
Excellent physician -- one of the best!
Smart doctor who knows his stuff, and, during the office visit, he was very attentive. But he is VERY INATTENTIVE outside of office visits. He told us that the patient portal was the best way to communicate with him, but he rarely checks it. It took about two weeks just to get lab results from this man. (We finally went to the hospital ourselves and filled out paperwork to get it sent to us.) His nurse/staff doesn't return calls either. Think twice before making an appointment with him.
This was a 2nd opinion visit for me& he took on the same attitude as the previous physician I saw within another health system. His demeanor, word choice & tone made me feel like I was a waste of his time. The visit started with a medical student assessing me. No problem there except I wasn't asked if I was ok with it by anyone. Following a 15 min wait I saw the doctor. I wasn't impressed with his lack of assessment and time spent with me followed by a curt "good luck" as he walked out the door
Dr Redbord called me home to check how I was feeling after a minor surgery. That gesture says what a great human being she is. I have a great deal of respect for professionals that go above and beyond her duties for others. God bless her. Chris
She helped save my life..... She always called me quickly as I recuperated at home.... She was in excellent communication with my daughters about my care at home.... I could never thank her enough..... I am so very thankful for you Dr. Roberts.... Carolyn Hayes
Perry K Richardson, MD, a tenured faculty member at the GWU School of Medicine and a Doctor in the truest sense of the word has proven, in virtue of my case, that there are times in doctoring when the pen is mightier than the stethoscope. The extraordinary report he wrote following a consultation for chronic pain/central sensitization phenomena from 6 concurrent WC orthopaedic injuries so impressed 3 Virginia Judges that same ORDERED the carrier to authorize fixing my R-shoulder, L-SIJ & L-hip.
Dr. Roberts is a kind and well experienced doctor. My husband was very lucky to have her on his team of doctors during his stay in the hospital. We will be forever grateful that she had the knowledge to treat his issues
Dr. Roth and her staff were compassionate, kept me inform, gave me advice, kept in touch with me while my husband was a patient in the hospital. Dr, Roth talked with me and explain in detail his condition and suggested that he should be in hospice. After, talking with her, I was able to understand what to do.
AMAZING ! He took care of my father when our local hospital in southern Md were going to release him . He was transported to GW and we had no idea Dr.Reiner would be the Doctor to perform a Cardio. Cath ... WOW, he went in put a stent in my father's heart and told us it was almost closed. He used better wording then I am. Dr. Reiner was great and to the point. I would trust him with my life, I guess I really did because my Daddy is my world. Thank you Dr.Reiner
Dr Rothstein is experienced, trustworthy and accommodating though he is not particularly accessible because of how busy he is. I feel comfortable in his care however I would feel more comfortable if I was able to communicate with him more freely inside and outside the office. The staff seems to have a difficult time coordinating with pharmacies however so I would keep this in mind when selecting this doctor.
Very pompous, strong disconnect with patient.
Very dismissive doctor. He was very dismissive of my symptoms and seemed bored during my consultation. I found him very difficult to talk to. He asked me if I'd seen other neurologists, and specialists and asked what they said. He did not order any tests for me. He told me he did not know what was wrong with me, and to come back in 3-months if my symptoms persisted. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone.
Dr. Roberts is a talented specialist with excellent patient skills. Perhaps the most skilled at patient attention and care I have ever received. She is kind, thoughtful and extremely skilled in her area of specialization.
If I could give the doctor less than a star, I would. I contacted her office for at least 7 times over a period of a week and could not get her to respond to a request for a prescription refill. When I finally got in touch with her, there was a request for me to schedule an appointment. This could have easily been conveyed five days earlier without my suffering through a week of pain! Thanks a lot!!
I met Dr. Shapiro once in person and had a number of email exchanges as I searched for a possible change in concierge PCP (as my current PCP is in another city). Dr. Shapiro was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. However, I did not change because the trip to his office from my home takes too long. If he was closer, I would definitely have made the change.
I went to her for a torn muscle and nearly died from preventable complications. I spent nearly a week in a step down unit in the hospital. I highly recommend another doctor. I also found her bedside manner to be very poor. Her first reaction was to deny blame rather than query after her patient's well being.
Dr. Saddler is an excellent doctor. Her office is a bit disorganized. The staff, as per the usual at GWU-MFA, is friendly but not too on the ball, so you have to follow up with them. The doctor herself is professional, kind, and genuine. One of my fav doctors and I have already recommended her to friends.
Rude to her staff
Leah is a young and lacks communication skills and patient-Dr consideration. I went to her with a fractured leg. It took me a year to find out the severity of my case. She insisted in my not having a problem despite of persisting pain. I finally decided to go to Georgetown Hospital where a good Dr. finally shared with me that the leg had been badly fractured, and my recovery period was more than two years - not six months. Lack of communication is recurring problem at George Washington Hospital
EXCELLANT Doctor, I would recommend her to many of my friends and I have.
I find Dr. Wheaton to be thorough and knowledgable and responsive.
This person recommends hydrotherapy to a person who can't swim and seratonin to someone who has had who has had bad experiences with seratonin. Be smart. Read theses reviews. Save yourself time and money. It's too easy to get an appointment with her. If she were "popular", she'd have a longer wait time for appointments.
The worst doctor on the planet. No knowledge of her specialty, pain management, more importantly, no compassion. Treated my chronic back pain as if I was a drug thief even though I had been coming to Sibley Pain Center for 7 years without incident. She never bothered to do a physical exam or try to schedule a "pain procedure" until our last visit (3 months in). Even though the doctor was scheduled for a four-month vacation she never mentioned it our last visit.
Visited for a hernia evaluation. I ended up depending more time with his student but when he arrived Dr. Vaziri was very professional and to the point.
Performed an appendectomy, and though the appendix was perforated, he managed to complete the procedure laparoscopically. My experience so far was in the hospital, I have not yet visited the office. Obviously I was relieved to have a life threatening condition reversed. Dr. Vaziri was direct and to the point, informative, and reassuring. My experience was excellent.
Dr. Vaziri is wonderful, his staff support staff at GW Medical Faculty Associates is horrifically incompetent.
Does not listen to patient. Does not read history provided by other doctors. Suggests unnecessary invasive procedure. Panics when she doesn't have an answer to treat a serious eye problem and insists on misdiagnosing it after it was properly diagnosed at Johns Hopkins by Ophthalmology, Neurology, and Neurosurgery.
Dr. Lamba has been great communicator and relief to my 80 year old dad. His prior experience with an eye dr was not as pleasant as this one. We are great full for your hospitality Dr.
Dr. Lalwani is amazingly patient with a great bedside manner. She was very thoughtful in her approach and very attentive.
Dr. Labropoulos repaired a dislocated toe for me in 1993 (which my other doctors said couldn't be done) and it is still good!! I liked this doctor very much and I am recommending him to my good friend for her toe problems.
Dr. Koubeissi diagnosed me after 30 mins, while it took others weeks of tests to identify the problem with my facial paralysis.
Dr. Lenert is highly professional and skillful. Her talent in Plastic Surgery - especially in Breast Reconstruction - can be compared to Mozart in music and Michelangelo in sculpture. After double mastectomy in 2015, she recreated - "sculpted" on my chest two beautiful breasts - Breast reconstruction, b). Fat grafting . Final result deserve to be labeled a Masterpiece. Dr. Lenert is a very good communicator; she has an excellent team who is contributing to the success.
After waiting a month and a half for an appointment, the doctor never bothered to show. Then one of his office staffers tried to physically restrain me from leaving by grabbing my arm and blocking the door. DO NOT bother to schedule here - keep on looking if you need help.
I have always been impressed with the time and thoroughness of Dr. Kruger's exams. I never feel he is rushing to get to another patient; he always makes sure all my questions are answered, and he has a terrific bed side manner.
This was the worst experience in this country to date--only to be compared with a 3rd world public hospital. Long wait without any good excuse. . Dr didn't write a new prescription, even when I asked, bc she said my sight remained the same, yet when I called the very next week for a copy of my prescription they told me they cdnt write it unless I came back in for another visit. When I tried to explain the assistant, said she had a patient to attend to and got off the phone. the pits
Dr. Lazaro is so knowledgable, and knows a whole range of solutions for hearing problems. She is warm and friendly and really helpful.
She has supervised and interpreted my eye tests to me in the last 3 years. She's attentive, expert, accurate and clear in all discussions. I'm now in need of cataract procedures and am be quite confident that she will do them well.
I spent almost one-year doing a few tests to be sure that I was ready for an IVF Treatment. She was always very busy and she asked me every time similar questions and make me feel I was not her patient.
I had a redo ORIF Surgery and some ligament clean up and my foot feels amazing I am not able to walk on it but I am in minimal pain he is very caring and professional.
Dr Teal is a fantastic breast surgeon. She was worth every penny spent on parking and every minute in the waiting room. She has a great bedside manner, a sweet and funny personality when it's needed most. I truly believe that I would not be here today if it weren't for Dr. Teal. I would recommend her to any of my friends or family. I can't say enough GREAT things about her.
Dr. Talib is a dedicated, competent, compassionate, caring and gifted doctor. Thorough in her approach, comprehensive in her solutions and diligent about her follow up. These are three qualities not readily found in the medical profession today. If you are ever in need of a specialist in internal medicine-look no further. Dr. Talib is it. As good as they come. A+++
Do NOT go to Dr.Thomas. This woman is cold, uncaring, incompetent, inept, rude, and negligent. The visits are always rushed, she does not listen to me, always interrupts me, and doesn't thoroughly check me over. She once told me I was just a number to her. As of late she refused to treat rheumatoid issues I was having in my joints. It got so bad I could not walk and was in severe pain. Had to see a rheumy in Atlanta at Emory just get treatment since Christie refused to treat me.
Dr. Troost's level of skill and bedside manner are just excellent! His office is also very well run. I wish I could see him for all my health needs & not just those related to my sinuses!!!! (He has performed two separate sinus surgeries on me ---- both with excellent results & giving me immediate relief.)
Experienced, knowledgable and empathetic.
Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable professional. Combines traditional & non-traditional medical therapies tailored to patient needs. Medicines, Diet, Exercise all evaluated in treatment plan that thinks outside the box. Able to communicate clearly diagnosis, recommendations, & rationales.
not sufficiently responsive
He performed a resection (removal) of the middle right lobe of my lung several years ago. It was superb and has provided a complete cure for a chronic infection. I can't imagine a better level of skill and success. And it has required no follow-up treatment, and I'm a healthy age-79 patient.
Parking for the this office is limited. There is very little street parking and the closest parking garage is a block away. The office staff does not tell you this in advance. When you schedule an apt, you're asked to arrive a 1/2 hour early. If you're not there at that time you will not be seen-no flexibility. There is no 15 min grace period with this Dr. I was offered a new apt. but this Dr. is too ridged for this area of med. Your 1st experience says a lot about future ones. 1 and done!
Dr. Popiel has been an immense help to both myself and those dear to me. He is not only an incredible medical professional, but he shows a sincere compassion that I have never seen before in a doctor. In addition, he acts as a health coach to his patients, monitoring their progress in a highly detail-oriented fashion and with his signature sensitive nature.
Dr Popiel is warm and inspires confidence that he will have his patients involved in achieving their optimum health. He encourages his patients to make healthy choices and is thoughtful about ordering tests that might not be necessary. He has good access to specialists that are also up to date on current medical research. Keeps up to date on medical information to provide the highest quality of care.
It is comforting to know that there is this person who is attentive, patient, and genuinely want to help you. He is knowledgeable, asks and listens, and is responsive. I have never felt rushed during our appointments and I am so appreciative and thankful for that. I am so happy and thankful that Dr Popiel continues to be my Doctor!
With a knowledgeable and understanding disposition, Dr. Popiel guided me through what ended up being just a health scare, but it was a considerably stressful time for me. What I really appreciated was Dr. Popiel's responsiveness on the GWMFA App. That allowed me to have regular contact and feedback from him, including updates on test results. I have since moved out of the country and continue to stay in touch with him through the app to discuss ongoing care.
Thank you Dr. Pandarinath and GWU Hospital Surgery Center Staff! I was in expert hands Tuesday morning for my ACL knee reconstruction by Dr. Pandarinath and his team. Dr. Pandarinath is very sharp, answered all of my questions, and took the time to explain all of my options and outcomes. He is up on the latest research, and knows what works and what does not. I stopped pain meds after 24hrs, as pain was minimal, and started PT 2 days post-op. So far so good!
Dr. Popiel has been the best primary care provider I could have asked for over the last two years. Calm, patient, understanding and thorough, he's been receptive, available and reassuring through big and small health issues. Couldn't recommend him more highly.
Dr. Popiel is hands down the best internal medicine doctor I've had in my 56 years. He treats me as a whole patient and listens carefully to my questions and concerns. He makes sure all of my questions are addressed before I leave, and responds to email questions very promptly. I have 100% faith in his patient care skills and ability to diagnose problems or make appropriate referrals when necessary. At this stage of my life, I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Popiel in my corner.
Exceptional - Dr. Popiel reviewed my symptoms, synthesized a diagnosis and personally made appropriate referrals to specialists who saw me immediately. Excellent care and follow up services.
really takes the time to get to know you and address your concerns
I have been a patient of Dr. Popiel's since he joined GW's MFA. I have long appreciated his availability, his focus on overall wellness, and his willingness to work with me to try different approaches to achieving health outcomes. Dr. Popiel is patient and very good at explaining things. I have recommended him to many friends. He is an excellent physician.
He explains things clearly without discouraging questions and provides helpful suggestions that you wouldn't expect. The scheduling is painless, I never wait more than 10 min and they always fill out paperwork quickly. If you've noticed how consistent the glowing reviews are here, trust me, him and his staff are that good. Without going into too much detail, MFA placed me with him to make up for an unbelievable misdiagnosis I received from another primary care doctor without admitting liabilit
On a visit to urgent care, Dr. Popiel was the physician who tended to me. He was so kind and compassionate. My situation was worth judging and there was none from him whatsoever. I cannot explain with words how comfortable I felt in his care. I will also say that he made it very easy to reach out to him if I had any questions. If I had my way, this would definitely be my PC.
I consider myself fortunate to be an ongoing patient of Dr. Popiel's medical practice. He displays both exceptional medical knowledge and skills for treating various medical illnesses as well as compassion and interest in caring about his patients' emotional needs.
Dr. Popiel is that rare medical professional who combines high quality medical care with an ability to connect with his patients on a personal level. He is on time to appointments, answers every question you have, and is interested in the patient as a person, not just a diagnosis. Any competent doctor can treat an illness or infirmity. Few do it with such compassion, focus, and commitment to his patients needs. He is a very fine physician and a first class human being.
Dr. Popiel has been a great PC provider. He is always responsive to emails and always makes time to see me on short notice. I am especially grateful that Dr Popiel takes the time to explain everything to me making sure I understand everything involving my health.
Examinations are brief and no care plan for recovery from arthroscopy.
The best Opthalmologist I have ever seen in my life very talented with great surgical Outcomes his stiches are seemless he is the one to go too if you are looking for the best
Dr. Lin is a straight talking professional. He was able to explain to me in lay man terms, the serious situation that I was in, but with hope in sight. I was transferred from another hospital that couldn't help me any further and I spent the next 17 days under Dr. Lin's care. After surgery , follow up visits and following his directions, a year later I am almost back to normal. I have come across several other individuals similar to me and they haven't progressed as well.
Dr. Lin is caring, highly skilled in his profession and listens and shows an understanding of his patient's concerns.
High Recommended.
Patient and understanding.
Would come again. Recommended. Good Doctor. Fast
Professional, and the doctor had all the answers. Should have visited a lot sooner.
More than helpful. Spent a lot of time explaining everything.
We went to visit the doctor. Only had to wait 30 minutes, she was very knowledgeable and friendly. Made the whole experience, pleasurable.
Informative and caring. Good doctor.
Highly recommended.
Made an appointment, got to see her in under 30 minutes. Awesome day, it wasn't as bad as I thought.
He's a great doctor. I would and have recommended him to friends and colleagues. No one has been disappointed.
He doesn't listen to his patient , not that good knowledge , his experience like a young doctor's experience,
He is very warm, and has a good memory for the details of patients' histories. As far as clinical judgment and surgical skills, I am not sure he has as much experience as I am looking for. He seems a little short on experience.
He didn't flow up with his patient and didn't show any respect he didn't spend time to listen or explain to his patient
I was very fortunate to have Dr. Obias his care for me since September 2016 has been very good. He has always provided the time needed to inform me of my condition and its changes. Kind and courteous and I think he is a very good surgeon. The on call surgeon when paged for an emergency that works on his team calls back in a timely manner to direct you further.
I can't tell you how impressed we were with Dr Nicklas. As a healthcare consultant I am used to dealing with doctors and understand the pressure they are under. Dr N was nothing short of wonderful - patient, kind and thorough. He spent a long time with us making sure our questions were answered and (most importantly) correctly diagnosed my dad's issue in our first meeting - a drug reaction that we subsequently learned frequently goes misdiagnosed for YEARS. He is wonderful.
I am a physician in practice many years. Dr Mufarij is a star among his colleagues. He is very knowledgeable, most accessible, a good teacher and listener. Excellent bedside manee and at the top of his game. He gave my husband excellent care in an urgent situation with very good results. He is one of the best and I highly re cement him.
Very friendly. Explains in detail and actually caught something no doctor has told me to treat a condition I had over last 20 yrs.
An absolutely terrific doctor. I had him for consultation and then surgery. He genuinely seemed to care about my condition -- and me. Remembered random things about me personally that I would not have expected. He gave me his cell phone number and responded promptly to texts/phone calls with medical questions. HIghly recommended. Only problem is his office staff dropped the ball a couple of times. (Failed to follow up on things etc.)
Today was my first time visiting Dr. Nicklas' office. He was the most thorough and attentive doctor that I have visited in my life. He asked me my medical history, was considerate of my situation, and despite his old-fashioned ways, made my experience rewarding. He clearly knows what he's doing and what he's talking about--he is very clear and concise with his medical suggestions; he trusts his patients. I will definitely recommend him and his specialty to everyone I know.
I had a horrible experience with this person. I made three appointments with Dr. Obias and he NEVER even had the decency of meeting with me. He only sent his physician assistant even though i requested him several times and his physician assistant just told me he would discuss my case with him. I was supposed to be his patient and he didn't even show up to the appointments. My condition was not serious but it is still UNETHICAL AND UNPROFESSIONAL to not meet with your patients.
My practice is not currently accepting new patients from the general public. If you have a special circumstance for consideration, you can feel free to call my practice and leave a message with one of my assistants for consideration. Spanish
