I just finished my 20 sessions. This was the first time I was in counseling but Lisa made it easy. She sent me directions, billed my insurance and I was able to meet with her from my office at work online. She helped me a great deal with a career concern. I think she is organized and easy to talk with.

Please beware if you are considering entrusting a child's mental health care to Lisa Taylor-Austin. The best interest of the child does not seem to be her main agenda. She decided to discontinue seeing my child an hour before an appointment claiming that her father and I were not following her treatment plan - which was not true. We merely questioned her approach. She, in turn, called DCF saying that we were not responsive to her concerns which was completely false. Seems she did not like to be questioned and expected us to blindly follow or get out. She caused more harm than good. Something is not right with this person!

Lisa worries more about the process and procedures than the cure. She's more concerned about payment for a missed appointment than caring for children. Didn't make sense either because we were never late or gave the impression that travel was difficult. She just seemed more interested in the business side than the medical side. Do not recommend.

Lisa is all about the money and not the care. My child was seeing Lisa for anxiety, depression and school avoidance. After meeting with my child for a few months Lisa gave my child an ultimatum or should i say she gave me the ultimatum to give to my child "Go to school or you can't see me anymore" This IS what she was seeing my child for! She abruptly without talking to my child refused to see them again. Yes, my child's therapist cast my child aside without warning or telling my child it was coming. I confronted Lisa and said it was not ethical of her. Lisa then reported my family to child services. Lisa then charged my card that she had on file for $100 siting that was for the time she spent on the report to Child services! We then were dragged through the mud from child services only for them to drop the case as unfounded. But this process really hurt my child. In the end Lisa caused way more damage. I urge you to keep your children far far away from this provider!

I saw Lisa for counseling in NY years ago. She then moved to CT. While I was visiting family in CT recently, I was able to return to see her. She helped me resolve unresolved issues and was able to bill my insurance for a small copay. Fast call back. Best around.

I saw Lisa for counseling for my anxiety. She was knowledgeable, helpful and professional. She taught me new coping skills and made the billing with my insurance company very easy with no problems at all. I liked that she was able to accommodate my schedule after work. I moved away but if I hadn't I would continue using Lisa's services.

Always on time. Nice lady. Very organized. We didn't know our insurance coverage and she found out for us. She encouraged us to also call to make sure we have the same info. We called and were told the same thing she was. When she processed the claim, they paid a different amount and she promptly refunded us. Honest! Our son loves her.

I find Ms. TAYLOR-Austin to be a very down to earth professional. By this I mean that she meets you where you are. She allows one to feel safe secure and that your mental health is her goal. I would definitely recommend her to my inner circles.
