Review of Dr. Nolasco

-

While she may be a decent diagnostician, and somewhat thorough, I had to prod her to perform particular targeted tests. We narrowed down my disorder/s to what I somewhat expected. I did receive a Fibromyalgia dx but she does NOT treat Fibro. She only dx it and believes it's "in your head" and psychosomatic making it a psychiatric issue. In the new DSM-10 Fibro has it's own specific MEDICAL Dx, it's not in the DSM-5. She's not open to back and forth discussion, bad bedside manner.

I have been battling quite a bit of health issues. I waited a couple months to see this doctor. I was so disappointed. She was very dismissive of my concerns. She treated me like I was a waste of her time. Just because I'm a younger patient doesn't mean I don't have health issues. She needs more empathy, and to hear her patients when expressing concerns. I'm not just a number- I'm an actual person who suffers with pain on a daily basis.

Very difficult to schedule appointment. She was thorough. Asked about considering another anti inflammatory since minimal relief. Discouraged, since required blood work and reluctant to order. Felt like it was too much work for her. Cool, impersonal demeanor not for me. Changing dr after 3 years. H

Dr. Norasco is extremely thorough in getting to know what your situation is in regards to your eveyday pain and finding solutions. I am very pleased in her professional and caring relationship with my needs as a patient who has everyday pain, compounded with bouts of severe back and knee pain. I have recommended her to many of my friends. Very happy.

She did not return my phone calls after calling her 3 days in a row concerning a reoccurrence of PMR. I made an appointment with another doctor the next week.
